Mostly because his hair must have changed as he died. Or he had white hair but had to put black markings in it so it would still look right.

Why would Hashirama be an incarnation? He was Senju, not Uzumake.

I think it makes alot of since Nagato being an Uzumaki since he has red hair like Kushina & i think that explains why Madara picked Nagato to give the Rinnengan because i bet finding surviving members of that clan are hard to find & If Naruto does get the power of the SO6P i think it will somehow be different from the power both Madara & Nagato had.

honored sage go back in the manga, and you will see that the uzumaki are a part of the senju but that separated along time ago for some reason.

theory: a senju left the clan and went to the whirlpool country for some reason, and stayed there, creating his own clan based in his fighting style that was fuuinjutsu, also this clan member might have had a huge chakra even among the senju, which so created the uzumaki clans characteristics.

thats way nagato how is a uzumaki (aka deluded senju), can get the rinnegan, by getting the uchiha's blood/dna/chakra to get the spirit of the sage.
as uzumaki have the body as they are senju

you might compare this to the deluded human-saiyan's(uzumaki) and saiyan's(senju and uchiha)

and i dont think naruto will be able to "activate" it..i mean his village blew up and people died, and the rinnegan still wasnt activated

Just curious but not all Uzumaki's were red heads because Naruto isn't and I'm sure other Uzumaki's had children with others from different clans.

So could Nagato actually be related to Kushina? like a cousin or a brother, since their roughly the same age

As it was said the Uzumaki's spread all over after their clan was gone. Kushina and Nagato both have red hair.
