Fullbody techniques mostly, techniques also described to surge chakra, techniques which send chakra around the chakra system before delivering an attack etc.

A few canon examples are

Chidori Nagashi and Earth Armor

No there are more but those were the examples off thw top of my head.

A lot of hyuuga techniques are also counted as surges.

A lot of modes and states as well.

anything that specifically says it covers your entire body all at once really. Its cant be anything that starts somewhere then moves across the rest of your body

Yea, I mostly asking about elemental surges because I know that modes and what not count. Guess I really should stop putting of SM training huh.

SM is useful for many reasons, the influence of a foreign energy in the first place is genjutsu breaking. Which I assume is why you are asking about surges.

Some elemental techs won't outright say the word 'surge' or 'Spike' so some of it is down to understanding how those techniques work.

Almost any full armor that encases you, anything where you gather/summon a lot of chakra, a few body seals that can/could inadvertently affect your chakra system, etc. Kooljay pretty much broke it down into specifics. Dont think too hard.
