Giyu: https://animebase.me/threads/giyu-tomiyoka.792231/

The old Dojo stood creaking against the gentle wind, outside the leaves rustled in the trees, and the dojo’s wooden frame was half swallowed by the forest that surrounded it. You could see moss climbing the steps, the paper screens along the walls had turned yellow over the years, and there was a faint sound of dripping water echoing from the cracked tiles of the ceiling. Outside the mist hung low, and the smell of wet cedar filled Giyu’s lungs as he stepped through the door.

The floorboards of the dojo creaked beneath his every footstep, dust floated through the dim light that filtered through the open Shoji and the cracks in the ceiling, where a single candle burned low beside a wooden rack of swords. Giyu stopped in the center of the room, his reflection was barely visible in the polished floor. He stood at the center taking in the still air of the dojo, the scent of wet wood and the faint trickle of water outside.

Giyu was young, had only been a member of the demon slayers for less than a year, he had yet to receive the traditional katana of the organisation, all he had on him was his regular attire and a katana that had little to no special features to it. He had travelled far to this point, to find this old dojo in the mountains, far from the worlds troubles and dangers. Yet Giyu had no clue as to why he had travelled all the way here, why the crow had told him to travel here, but this place felt old, yet it had no unique features, no ominous presence, it was simply that, a dojo.

The doors to the dojo slowly opened with a prolonged creek as the mist bathed the floor creeping towards Giyu. Moving with a swift sense of elegance, Yoriichi entered the ancient dojo as though he was gliding across the floor. Stopping 10 meters from his new rival, Yoriichi observed. His white blade, the Wado ichiimonji resting on his left hip as he awaited his foe's movements.

The mist thickened around the floor as the door creaked wider, and Giyu’s eyes followed the faint shape that stepped through it with his eyes. For a moment, he thought it was just a trick of the light, but as the figure moved, calm and silent, the air itself seemed to shift. The candle by the sword rack flickered, and in that dim light, Giyu saw the man’s face. His breath stopped. He had seen that face before, painted on old scrolls and carved in memory by those who spoke of him in quiet tones. Yet seeing him here felt unreal, like a dream that had taken form. Giyu’s hand moved to his sword, not out of fear but instinct, his fingers resting lightly on the hilt. The floor creaked softly beneath his feet as he took a small step forward, eyes steady. “You’re… Yoriichi,” he said under his breath, almost unsure if speaking it would break the moment. The man before him said nothing, only watched, his presence calm like still water. Giyu swallowed, lowering his gaze for a moment. “If I’ve come all this way for a reason,” he said quietly, lifting his head again, “then let me understand it.” His stance shifted slightly, the soft sound of his sandals against the floor echoing through the dojo as the candle flame wavered between them.

Remaining silent an unmoving, Yoriichi listened. His body still. His breathing calm. His aura flowed with the mist as his eyes met the young demon slayer. He didn't need to speak. He didn't need to reply. A single action would show his foe his intent. With a slow gesture, he placed his right hand on the hilt of the legendary Wado Ichiimonji. Slowly and elegantly, he pulled the blade from the comfort of it's sheath was the slicing of the blade against it screeched through the air. With the blade being fully drawn, he moved his left foot back, holding the blade forwards in his right hand facing towards his foe

The message was clear.

Giyu’s right hand rested on the hilt, his fingers tightening around it, as his thumb was pressing lightly against the guard, while his left hand drew the blade free from its sheath. The sound was quiet, almost delicate, as Narsil slid from its sheath, the steel getting caught in the faint candlelight of the dojo. The silver edge of the blade shimmered, a pale shimmer dancing across the blade in his hands. Giyu shifted his right foot back across the wooden floor, anchoring his weight to his left foot. His right hand gripped high near the guard, while his left hand was steady at the base of the hilt, guiding the balance of the blade, and keeping the sword angled diagonally before him with both hands. Giyu’s eyes were fixed on Yoriichi’s center.

Giyu moved in the same breath that he exhaled. His right foot slid forward across the boards, the weight shifting through his hips, his arms following in one swift motion toward Yoriichi. The swing began at the left side of Yoriichi in one single continuous line of motion. The blade carved a horizontal arc through the dojo, the heat crawling off the blade. The movement fluid, the sound of the floor creaking once beneath his shift of weight, as the edge passed through the air, aimed at Yoriichi’s center mass, moving like a flash of silver and light.

( Kumo-Ryū Omotegiri ) - Cloud-Style Front Beheading
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage: 30 +20 = 50
Description: The user slashes forwards in front of them with their sword to strike the enemy target.

(Narushiru) - Narsil (Reference)
Type: Weapon
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: N/A [200 Chakra Supply]
Damage: N/A
Description: Narsil is a longsword wielded by kings of a long forgotten kingdom. It was said to be used during an alliance between men and Noldor to face the oncoming darkness. The sword being made of a metal that makes it shine like the purest silver, and with a black leather handle, with several engravings upon it. The sword itself is sentient, as it was infused with yang energy, giving it, its unique properties. The sword with its sentience, can sense the wielders chakra and any type of imbalance that may occur. Through this, the sword can send a cleansing energy through the wielder, effectively cleansing them of any spiritual intrusion. The sword itself has a chakra reserve that is of 200 in total, which it uses to perform its own abilities. Additionally, the cleansing ability can only cause a surge of chakra to go through the wielder with a total of 70 chakra per use.
In addition to its cleansing capabilities, the sword when wielded, creates a mixture of fire chakra and yang chakra, effectively creating a thin layer of white fire that flows across the sword, enhancing its cutting prowess through the intensity of the heat [+20 to Kenjutsu techniques]. Additionally, the sword can increase the intensity of the flames and cause them to increase in size, effectively causing the reach of any subsequent Kenjutsu technique usages to have an increase in range [+1 range reach]. The sword may supply the fire and yang chakra from its own supply or from the wielder [-10 chakra per turn from sword or wielder].
Outside of the cleansing ability and the increase in power to the wielders sword skills, the sword is capable of releasing an aura of yang chakra around the blade itself, creating several intangible dragon teeth that sprout from and cover the entirety of the sword. These teeth are "physically" longer than the sword, extending only a meter from the blade itself. These teeth will upon contact with a target drain them from their physical vitality. The dragon teeth lowers the targets physical speed, reaction, and ability to utilize powerful physical techniques. If the victim is touched only once, their base reaction/tracking is reduced to three quarters (75%) of their current stat, twice and their base speed and Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, and other body damage is reduced by half of their current stat, and thrice they will lose the ability to use any form of taijutsu or kenjutsu techniques, while a fourth contact will render them paralyzed, unable to do anything outside of breathing. These dragon teeth are sentient and can move around and extend further than the sword at their own whim, reaching targets within short-range of the sword itself.
Note
- The cleansing effect is of S-rank and can be used until the sword is depleted of its chakra reserve.
- The cleansing effect counts towards the move count, and it has a two turn cooldown.
- Increasing the range through the fire and yang that flows across the sword, counts as a move to activate, while it then stays active until deactivated by the wielder or sword.
- The range increase to Kenjutsu techniques does not stack with other range increase techniques.
- The Dragon Teeth ability costs a move to activate, however, it may be activated in the same timeframe and in conjunction with a Kenjutsu technique.
- The Dragon Teeth technique counts as an A-rank ability, and continues to stay active after its creation, due to its sentience.

Giyu understood. The simple, silent gesture was a gauntlet thrown, and he responded with the low, grinding whisper of his blade being an acceptance. He was ready. Yoriichi remained still, observing, waiting. His opponent’s rush was inevitable, an expected attack, but it was sluggish. Giyu's body moved like a blunt blade....inefficient, useless. Yoriichi held his peace until the last possible moment, allowing his foe to commit fully to the horizontal slash aimed at his left flank.

Then, as the hostile steel arced, Yoriichi shattered his serene statue-like composure, transforming into a flurry of fury. His right-hand blade became a lightning-quick arc, a downward slash that slammed directly onto the top of Giyu's weapon. Simultaneously, his left foot slid back, effortlessly leaving the strike's danger zone. This first attack was an act of brutal disarmament: the kinetic force drove his foe's blade down, pinning it deep into the resisting wood of the floor, trapping it.

But the technique was not yet finished. Without pause, the momentum of the first strike flowed into a second, horizontal slash aimed squarely at Giyu’s chest. This was not a cutting blow; striking with the flat side of the blade with a devastating shove. It had no intent to harm, only to push his opponent back and away from their now buried weapon. (Moving at 18 speed.) The flat strike delivered its message: no damage, simply separation. Yoriichi concluded the flurry, rising to his full height and taking a deliberate, measured step backward, putting distance between himself and the immobilized blade.

Was his foe willing to try harder?

(Kojun no Koi) - Descending Carp
Type: Defensive
Rank: B - A
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: A slightly more advanced aspect of Bukijutsu entails parrying enemy attacks, by performing a slashing arc at the right moment the user is able to deflect attacks within reason, working mostly against physical attacks though depending on the weapon used to parry there are exceptions. This ability can be enhanced by physical augmentations such as taijutsu increases and count towards its defensive value.

Giyu stood in the center, his chest rose and fell with every breath, the wooden floorboards groaning beneath him as he shifted his weight. The candlelight flickering, casting long shadows across the walls. Giyu’s eyes locked on to Yoriichi, noticing his slight breath and movement. Then, in one swift motion, Giyu moved forward. He pushed off the floor, propelling himself forward, while using his left foot to slide lightly behind him for balance. His right hand gripped the hilt high near the guard, as he pulled the steel from the wooden floor, guiding the sword with precision.

As he approached Yoriichi, both his hands would hold the blade as he held it to his left side, using his arms to thrust the blade forward, extending rapidly, the blade slicing through the air like an arrow, aimed directly at Yoriichi’s heart. He rotated his shoulders with the thrust as he leaned forward putting his weight behind the thrust, his back leg flexing and pushing forward like a spring to maintain both speed and balance with the thrust.

(Suiryoku) - Thrust
Type: Offensive
Rank: D - B
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A
Damage: 20 - 40 + 20 = 60
Description: One of the simplest moves in Bukijutsu, the user will thrust their weapon at the opponent with a rapid motion, striking them very quickly. Due to the speed of a thrust in comparison to a slash it moves slightly faster than the user's speed, adding a plus two speed modifier to the attack.

Regardless of Yoriichi’s reaction, parry or sidestep, or be impaled, without pause, Giyu’s thrust pivoted. Giyu’s left foot spun lightly, bringing his body into alignment as the blade swept upwards as his right hand pulled the blade back slightly, guiding the sword with momentum of his hips, while his left hand pushed the blade upwards in slash aimed to gut him from stomach to the top of his head. The motion clean, coming just as the thrust would reach its pinnacle, the blade carving a path up through Yoriichi.

( Kumo-Ryū Omotegiri ) - Cloud-Style Front Beheading
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage: 30 + 20 = 50
Description: The user slashes forwards in front of them with their sword to strike the enemy target.

As the blade sliced in an upwards arch and it reached its apex, Giyu spun on his left heel, pivoting his torso with precise torque. With the sword raised above Yoriichi’s head he swept it in an arc overhead, his right hand gripping the hilt near the guard, pulling down with the swing, controlling the full curve of the blade. The crescent swing downwards was broad and fluid, slicing down through Yoriichi in full force letting the blade come to rest as it would exit Yoriichi’s body.

(Kumo-Ryū Mikazuki Kiri) - Cloud-Style Crescent Moon Beheading
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 60 + 20 = 80
Description: The user utilizes a large extent of their physical capabilities to swing their sword in a single large arc, which occurs with such ferocious velocity that the technique can be employed in situations where only a very limited time to react is available. The swing can be used to counter attacks from multiple opponents simultaneously. The technique receives its name due to the entire movement being reminiscent of a crescent moon.

It would seem their resolve didn't waver even when the gap in their skill and power were clearly evident. It seemed the ember of youth burned brightly in this one. Though unrelenting, the lack of finesse left his foe so open to counters. As his foe rushed him once more, Yoriichi sheathed his blade waiting for the assault. As his foe launched forwards, aiming his strike at his heart, Yoriichi waited and moved at the last second, turning his body so the blade passed by his chest straight past him (ff dodge). As he turned he brought his left foot back once more. In the same motion as turning his body to avoid the strike, Yoriichi brought his right fist up between his foe's arms punching him in the chin with an uppercut.

Type: Offensive
Rank: D

Description: One of the simplest moves in Taijutsu, the user will simply use one of his hands to deliver a simple punch by clenching his fist and swinging his arm. The user is free to do variations of a basic frontal punch and the technique though simple, can be deadly for strong users.

Following the punch, knocking his foe out of their senses, Yoriichi brought his left foot round into a right house kick to his foe's stomach:

As Yoriichi turned, letting Giyu’s blade pass by his chest and stepped back with his left foot, his right fist came up between Giyu’s arms, aimed at his chin. Giyu caught the motion in the corner of his eye, his senses sharpening as his mind cleared. Everything slowed. His body reacted before thought could catch up. He twisted his torso sharply to the side, turning about forty-five degrees away. The shift drew his shoulders and head just out of reach, the uppercut sweeping through empty air. The new angle also closed the space between them, restricting Yoriichi’s movement and cutting off any follow-up.

In the same motion, Giyu flipped his sword into a reverse grip with his left hand, the blade now tracing the line of his arm. His right hand let go of the hilt and came across his chest. His elbow pressed tight against his ribs, catching Yoriichi’s arm mid-motion and locking it close. His right hand gripped it firmly, holding the limb in place. With his opponent’s arm trapped and balance compromised, Giyu drove the blade backward in quick, precise thrusts, short, controlled strikes aimed at Yoriichi’s chest and stomach. Each stab carried speed and intent, his movements smooth and exact, his body coiled and balanced like a spring ready to strike again.
