Terrain:
The Beachhead

At the westernmost point of Kamiyasumi is a relatively calm and deep inlet where tranquil crystal blue waters of the Western Ocean brush up against the island. The shore is lined with crisp sand, making it appear as a tropical paradise on the edge of the Cedar Forest. The Beachhead is surrounded on two sides by a series of rolling hills that create a natural border between it and the forest, making it the perfect staging ground for the Champions of Humanity to construct a base of operations on the island. It is naturally fortified by the surrounding terrain, connected to the Western Ocean, and can be further reinforced with additional structures.

Alright kids, big smiles!” Mirabelle’s voice called out, the caring and motherly nature hinted within it. These instructions where directed to a group seven children - recent inhabitants who survived the collapsing of the Moon and among other calamities that besieged the world, Among them, was two of her daughters - both only two years of age now. Kayla and Illah, both of them was fidgeting quite a bit - both of them barely able to form words still. “Ahhh!” Ilah screamed, shoving her sister from her as Kayla landed solid on the ground.

Oui, you two behave yourselves!” Mirabelle rolled her eyes. They two of them reminded her of herself and her twin sister as kids, unable to deal with one another but these two were on a different level. She sighed, quickly kneading chakra into the ground to cause some algae vines to grow out from beneath the children - grabbing her own and fixing them in place. “SMILE” she shouted, the two girls fussed and turn their heads as the camera flash went off. The other kids laughed and wandered off - waiting for Lady Blackthorn to develop the images later.

You two, come here” she ordered the two of them to do so. They both came over, heads hung down in shame as their mother picked them up and kissed them. “You two better start getting along or else” she watched both of them with an intense glare. Both couldn’t look back and just nodded, reaching for each other’s hand. “Good, now go look for your father…” she said, as she felt a sudden shift in the air. It was…cold.

As she glanced to the western part of the Beachhead’s newly developed settlement - a stranger had wandered in. “New visitor…” she said, as she quickly shooed the kids away and approached the stranger - stopping just eight meters away from her. “Welcome, traveler” she said with a bow and returning to a neutral position she would eye her from head to toe.

Welcome to the Beachead, how may I assist you?" she asked, while within Matatabi was idly watching. "She looks lost" she chimed in.

A vacant expression was across Nadja's face as she travelled, somewhat lost in though and half paying attention to her surroundings, not that she didnt expect to be attacked but even in the event she had more than enough ways to deal with anyone that would threated to stop her or try to delay. A light kiss from the wind blew through her dark blue hair which would cause it to sway back and forth playfully while she continued to explore and survey the world in the aftermath of the Gods destruction, curious to see how life would adapt and change to its new challenge. Nadja had always been curious about the progress of humankind, while her own village was isolated and self sufficient advancing fast enough on its own, there was an interest about how others would live taking advantage of situations creating new horrible ways to profit from those misfortunes. Lives had certain been shifted with several new factions rising up and declaring their ownership of lands to which Nadja scoffed in rolled her eyes at the claims, new tyrants and leaders that would lead their people down destruction once again.

" . . . "

Without noticing about her travel, simply following where ever the path and wind would take her, the snow white skinned beauty had reached a settlement and more noise from locals began to pour into her minds eye, distracting her from her thoughts as they invasively tried to turn the topic to what they were eating or where their father was. In travel uniform consisting of a plain cloak covering a somewhat shabby or plain travellers tunic and pants, Nadja didn't look the type to be important or draw attention to herself and yet as she continued to pass through, a woman stopped her.

“Welcome to the Beachead, how may I assist you?"

Nadja slowed to a stop while shifting her focus up towards the woman who had forced her to interact, instead of passing through without a trace. Hesitating for a moment before answering, Nadja's mind wondered back to the settlement and thought about why she started travelling in the first place, her goal for looking at these new lands. Nadja, as the sole heir and survivor to the Shimogakure village, was going to restore it to full strength and make it prosperous once again, how ever she needed lands, and she needed subjects to join. At a brief glance with this settlement, it would do aptly as a base of operations for now while she gathered more strength with more subjects to flock to her, taking over would make it an ideal starting point to rebuild.

"This region is sufficiently strong enough with its growth, has enough population to sustain itself and is in need of a strong leader."

This was a statement because to Nadja its bountiful lands and its people were simply resources to be used, to rebuild what once was and recover the memory of Shimo. This woman was of no consequence to Nadja and she payed no mind to her next response, it would be as if one would scan through the headlines of a paper and think an internal comment upon reading the headline. There was no malice or friendliness behind her comment, it was just a true fact to Nadja that she was going to control and take over the land, to her it was just business as usual.

Mirabelle’s arms crossed into one another as she listened attentively to the woman’s desires. A peak of some interest arose from it - did she intend on making the Beachead…or better yet Kamiyasumi some kind of settlement under her rule? “Well, that’s certainly an idea” she thought on it for a moment - perhaps she can entertain her new ‘friend’s’ little headspace to get a better understanding of her intentions. “The only issue is, these lands aren’t exactly up up grabs like that. Kamiyasumi was already rebranded into a safe haven for humanity and whomever else wished to live her away from the Mainland and its bullshit. We’re even protected by Enkidu, a God in the flesh” she started to explain the current situation to the traveler.

And if you want to go about it the whole, leader concept. That’s what Grandmaster Iavid is, the leader of the Monks of the Human Order - protectors of these lands and the original inhabitants of this place. Surely you wouldn’t want to disturb what already exists” she questioned her. Depending on her answer, things might escalate very quickly. “Be mindful of her words Mirabelle, she might attempt to sway you away from her intentions

I know, I’m feeling her out first before I make the final call
I hope so, I don’t like the feeling about this at all…

The mood was starting to sour as the woman tried to explain the basics of what Nadja already knew, but perhaps her simple sentence wasn't descriptive of an explanation enough for this woman on the beach. Placing a hand to her chin, she struck a pose of trying to think about the most apt way that Nadja thought of anything below her and that of Shimogakure, which would be just about everything that couldn't stand up to her force.

"How do you think these lands were tamed, or in fact any lands are built up or started? They are taken much like how you would take clear out animals that live there to make a new lands for yourself. Does the farmer build his farm around the rats, mice or birds that area already there? Does a city stop its expansion because the animals already have homes within the trees? They are cleared out and built over much like how life has always been."

Once again, Nadja wasn't showing any real emotion, or more accurately perhaps she was showing a lack of emotion as she spoke, as it was matter of fact and reflecting to how she had grown up and learnt from her study and life experiences. As if to acknowledge the tension between them, the air around the two women had gone silent, even the waves on the beach has slowed to nothing more than mere lapping at the shore. The wind had disappeared even afraid to be seen in the presence of these two, the surrounding scenery which had almost stopped reflecting their voice as an echo. Nadja wondered if her point would be made that these people were merely just animals to her, nothing good nor bad or that she would greet them with hostility, much like how someone wouldn't go out of their way to remove a bird nesting in a tree in their back yard. If the people should become a nuisance, then she would have to enforce measures, much like how one would build separate fences for misbehaving cattle or goats that continued to fight each other.

"The world around has changed forged and fought by gods that can bleed, if you believe the rumours, gods that can die as well. Landscapes change and progress is inevitable, it only depends on who is going to make the progress. If you step in the way, then you only hurt these people and this land from growing."

Looking around to see where the central point of the settlement was, Nadja would aim to start there to convert the lands and move outwards, a single declaration of who now would control the landmark and expand her reach over the rest of the land.

Mirabelle was silent- she normally would try and give people a moment to speak their minds. This one, was right on a few points but at the same time her logic lacked some crucial details that can cause one to misinterpret their intentions. Once all is said and done, she laughed and uncrossed her arms into a more relaxed position - as one was guided to her lip. She tapped at them for a moment, seemingly pondering on how to address this but rather than skirt around it - she got to the point.

That is correct, the Gods can in fact be vanquished- it’s why Marzan’s God Slaying Tools became so desired; so that we humans can even out the playing field vs these deities. That aside though, you’re implying something that I don’t think I like hearing…” she said, her eyes becoming more focused, her muscles tensed and her breathing becoming a bit steady.

If you’re here attempting to ‘take over’ Kamiyasumi, then believe me…you’ll die before you even get an opportunity. Be it by my own hands or any of the multiple warriors and Sage level shinobi residing here…leave while mercy is still an option…” Mirabelle finally warned her.

You’re no longer welcomed here
