The post previous where Ultra stated that trying to make players look worse is scummy, when thats literally how you secure lynches on scum by making them fall apart under questioning. I legitimately dont understand how that could be a sentence written in a game of mafia.

There's a difference between forcing scum to dig themselves into a hole, and trying to dig a hole for a player with pointed questions. I'm not sure if this is a deliberate misinterpretation or not, but I perceived that you were doing the latter. Do you think all forms of questioning are inherently proactive?

Proactive? I mean were digging into semantics here, but generally yes, the act of trying to engage other players in such a way is a net positive as it at least gives the rest of the thread something to discuss, even in a world where the questions themselves are totally useless (which I dont think mine are).

My methodology is to treat players I suspect as scum until they demonstrate that they probably arent or flip, so yes, digging a hole for them to fall into would be one way to look at how I do that. Down to them to sink or swim, or at least give me material that would make me reconsider

Soulkiller Im undecided on, he recently made a post I quite liked but pretty much anything before that I could take or leave. The other 2 have basically 0 contribution so cant even begin to feel one way or another.

I dont follow the analogy. In the post you quoted, Michelle did something that I perceived as very unlikely to be scum, which is why I retracted the read because it superseded anything I thought that went into the read. My reason for voting her in that game was more of a general 'I felt her posts were wallpaper' kind of thing than a specific event.

In this game, I would be theoretically voting Alice if I could, because I feel her posts are basically padding, but the difference is she hasn't shown me anything that contradicts or supersedes that. Unless you firmly believe Alice is town, I dont really see your objection to my questioning, and triumphantly declaring im scum doesnt change that

Erm, gun to head Id say so yeah. He tried to provide examples of what he saw as different behaviour from another game, which at least implies some level of sincere effort on his part

I'm just trying to spark some content with my votes. Alice is null for me and I guess so is Michelle because I literally can't read her posts. I also feel like half the players haven't shown up on the first twenty four hours and that concerns me because I'm not a fan Poison's 'POE' here. I think her and Soul are always at each other, so easy to park suss there. And I feel like me and Ekko have had very little presence to warrant being options for the lynch here.
