I'll voluntarily claim the first component of my role since there was some confusion about it earlier and there's no consequence to saying this part so I'll just get this out of the way.

Once per cycle I can target a player and steal their gems. Gems are required for performing a certain other ability I have not disclosed yet.

Now I had assumed gems were some sort of in-game currency based on the info provided in my rolesheet. Which is why I asked publicly for some D2.

Apparently my role is a bit of an afterthought and while everybody has gems, they are a random quantity and nobody actually knows how much they have. So my acquisition of them is basically just rng. lol
