I think I'm going about doing this wrong. I don't know a good way to catch up.

personally i prefer reading all of the posts without responding, then going back once more over to respond to what stuck out thats still unanswered/unresolved for me (to avoid asking questions that already were answered between current place in catchup and being current)

I don't like Johann acting like "he wouldn't attack Kyte when he was scum" also his over the top fake attack theory doesn't make much sense.

Then there SirSalt and Demon starting with spite/fun vote followed by switching to Not vote. What is this? I mean its 72h DP and we have majority lynch why not just keeping this as placeholder vote.

I think their playstyle remind me of players doing adopting this in mafia universe.

yeah in johan's defense to that particular accusation, "i wouldnt x as scum" is a very common thought and form of self-defense, even if it seems like wifom; i do it a lot as town because sometimes i really do think scum do make kills that i would never make, etc

Why the attack is very possibly fake

IF scum has 3 kill power per night. Thats A LOT. And their killers and prolly higher level than us otherwise mafia kill roles have no way of killing high ranked townies except lynch or unique abilities. That makes 0 sense. You cuck mafia from the start. There is def 1 townie that can rival mafia. MAYBE 2.

So with that in mind mafia killing 3 per night is mad crazy. They can pick us appart in 3 nights and if we misslynch it can be even sooner. Thats just unbalanced.

that being said.
Why attack is fake is highly possible. Not only do you scare town in them thinking mafia has more fire power than they do you also put seeds of doubt.

I played with Kyte few times and he was always inactive and when he was active i wasnt impressed. Thats my impression of him

Alice is played with few times and i can understand NK on her.

Last posibility is that scum can fake attack on themself and then say i am town since i got attacked

Looks at anta who said alice and kyte are town since they got attacked

2 are real attacks
Last one is fake to throw town off while scum can use to paint themself town

What you think after reading these? For me it looks like someone who's trying to influence players with his idea.

From where he got that idea? Have you ever wonder?

i just read those posts as somebody trying to think through the NKs and having strong opinions

if he secretly knows something about any of the NKs, which is possible, i'm not seeing which of his beliefs looks fake enough to cover up for his extra knowledge

not sure i'd go along with the "1 fake attack" idea but i dont see the benefit to scum!johan to sell that narrative, just seems like a random speculation

i guess if i had one suspicion about those quotes it'd be that johan wants to seem disconnected from the kyte kill attempt specifically, when maybe he had a scum teammate kill kyte or something?

but yeah im not seeing a pro-scum narrative that he's selling or anything

yeah ultimately i still lean him town, those quotes that ansa quoted on this page actually just look overall towny to me, like somebody actually trying to think through that stuff. liked some other stuff too but idr too specifically rn

i guess nessos and ansa seeing the same thing with johan makes me believe the suspicions being real more?

but idk i didnt actually find johans posts that suspicious myself

also i think the switching to novote thing might just be a playstyle thing, wouldn't read into it as ai, some players just naturally unvote to express nonseriousness

maybe i towned demon too easily though and i should still be suspecting him
