Takeno showed them the road map. A long red dash paved the way outside of the Badlands into the Land of Fire. Specifically they were aiming for the eastern mire. It was a long trek out, and it would take multiple days to complete the mission, the estimated time being two go three days. He gave them each a copy of the of the plan, and moved out towards the land of fire

Chise offered a careful nod as she listened to Mirabelle's proposal on their next move. She carefully looked back to the bulk of the room, pausing as a moment before offering a rushed shuffle of her pace toward the doctor. She carefully bowed her head toward them with hands folded properly in front of her. "I'm leaving now.. I'm sorry I couldn't do more to help, but when I've finished my travels and missions, I'll come back and help however I can again. I promise.." The Doctor merely lifted a curious brow before smiling, raising a gloved hand to pat lightly at Chise's bowed head. "Don't worry about it lass. Go and do great things, just stay healthy and safe." With a nod of affirmation and gratuity alike, Chise quickly turned and moved back toward where Mirabelle was waiting, meeting back up with her before leaving the hospital and eventually the area together to make for their next destination. She was curious as to who it was Mirabelle specifically had in mind that she was trying to find. Someone that was in charge of the oversight of an entire region yet by no particular specification yet seemed hardly unreasonable to be intrigued by, yet Chise opted to withhold her questions for later, given the travel-time ahead.

LLM toward ( 115 ) Graveyard of Sin
After having traveled a few hours at a gradual pace from Takinomori back toward the primary region where Tsumigakure resided, Chise felt an uncertain tension build up in her shoulders; hairs peeking along the back of her neck as she strained to ignore the anxiety that seemed to slowly swell within her with every passing hour that brought her closer to the village. The last time she were there, things were far from being considered in "good condition" and she feared that the worst had only escalated throughout the entire village. Yet she didn't have the means nor the time to pass through to investigate, at least not based on the explanation by Mirabelle on where they were heading immediately, so she opted to simply place her faith in the villagers, as well Sado and his companions that they could hold out long enough for her and Mirabelle to hopefully put a dent in the level of uncertainty of everything that was happening. With luck, Chise might pick up a few skills along the way to hopefully be more useful to the village when she returns.

This marks the beginning of my missions: "Study someone who has the virus directly (requires more than one RPer to complete). A-rank"

Rushing quickly to Banri's side, Fuu would help him down onto a nearby rock for him to sit, before turning her attention to the medical gauntlet as she knelt down in front Banri. It provided all the scans she would normally run using her diagnosis skill and saved her quite a bit of time. In spite of this, Fuu would still run her own diagnosis of Banri while reading the gauntlet, placing her left hand on his forehead.

This is a pretty impressive device... She would think to herself, before going through the results of the gauntlet and her own diagnosis.

You've got something severely burning through your chakra, causing a massive strain on your system... but, also seems like your physical traits taken a hit. Seems your nervous system isn't quite firing the way it normally would, something is hindering the transmission of signals through your body.

Shit!!
Fuu would suddenly exclaim, though remaining in place in front of Banri, only removing her hand from his forehead and releasing her grip on the medical gauntlet. She would then proceed to run a diagnosis of herself before double checking a reading on Banri's medical device.

She briefly sigh before standing upright, taking this moment to finish her diagnosis and plan of action. Taking a step backwards and in the direction of Takinomori, Fuu would look Banri directly in the eye before speaking.

Look, the thing causing all those symptoms. From what I can tell, it appears as some sort of foreign entity causing it. Not a bacteria, but something a little worse. It seems you're infected with a new strain of virus, one I haven't seen before.

It would also seem that it has quickly transferred itself to me, either during our spar or just now when I was diagnosing you. However, I don't show any symptoms... yet. I'll have to monitor myself to see how long before the symptoms appear, at least we'll have a timeline for this.

We'll need to get you to a hospital to quarantine you, run further tests and to draw up a timeline of where you've been and who you've interacted with. Maybe we can find where you picked this thing up from. I'll need to talk to Sado as well, so he can get all our medical resources onto this.

Your thoughts on this?
Banri seemed to not be responsive at this stage, possibly another effect of the Virus or just him musing over the consequences of having such an affliction. Either way, Fuu couldn't afford to waste much more time.
Realising that she couldn't leave Banri alone in this state, even if he would be fine, Fuu couldn't risk anyone just walking up to see if he was okay; that would risk spreading the affliction to others. As such, Fuu would opt to make a shadow clone and send it ahead to the hospital in Takinomori with hopes of setting up a proper isolation unit for Banri.

As the shadow clone appeared in a cloud of smoke, Fuu would hand over a second scouter so they could remain in contact with each other. Not having to exchange words, the clone would race off towards Takinomori at full speed. The clone would be created already wearing the large cloak that Fuu was known to wear in her travels; this would be a crude method of making sure she doesn't spread the virus through others coming into contact with her clone.

Fuu would turn her attention back to Banri. Banri? I've sent a clone ahead to the hospital in Taki, hopefully whatever this virus is, it isn't wide-spread... though if it is, we'll at least be able to pool resources to get a vaccine out.

While she waits for his response, Fuu would locate and move to collect her own cloak off the ground, pulling it over herself before returning to Banri. All the while, She would make note of anyone entering the nearby area, so as to warn them about approaching.

Beginning the D-rank Mission: Hear rumors about the virus origins.

Combing with D-rank Elements: Investigate the Noticeboard/Listen to the locals to learn about recent events.

Having had to walk a substantial distance away from Banri, by the time Fuu had collected her cloak, Banri has managed to leave the immediate area for an unknown destination. Breathing a sigh of frustration, Fuu heads to one of the outer-lying towns to gather news of current events, hoping to gain some information about this virus.

Reaching a small township, she maintains a safe distance from the surrounding populace, keeping herself fully covered by her slightly tattered cloak. Reaching the noticeboard she was able to read some of the posters plastered over it, noting the mention of a Tournament at the Dark Tower; for the cure to this disease. Older posters made note of the victory against Shinigakure and the plagues of Undead caused by the events of the Mother Tiamat events. Around her, Fuu would listen in to the discussions of the locals:

-... Children of Tiamat.
The ones Sado-sama and the others faced off against?
No, that was Shinigakure!!
Idiot, the Tiamat incident was before the war with Shini.
Oh, my bad. I spend to much time foraging in the Mountains to know these events.

This one discussion between a trio of villagers caught Fuu's ear, causing her to walk nearer by, leaning against a nearby wall that was side-on to the group while still being innocuous to the group.

Anyway, like I was saying; I heard from a group of fisherman, sayin' they haven't been able to catch anything for weeks from the Hokubo Ocean!
That's cause this Red Fever comes from there, it's a lingering curse from Mother Tiamat, I've been telling you all this!!

Their discussion had begun to draw in others to the crowd, starting a back-and-forth of opinions and rumours, though the most common was that the mention of Hokubo Ocean. As the group got more and more active, Fuu took this as her cue to turn and leave the area.

Seems that particular Ocean may have been the start of this Disease. Chomei would inject, speaking within the shared mental realm with Fuu.
Yeah, seems that way. Might be worth checking out, or at least having someone look into it?
The amount of Med-nin this Village has, you should go and see if someone else has done the heavy lifting first!
That's not a bad point. We'll head back to Taki, see if anyone has begun their own studies on this.

Arriving from

With a careful nod, Chise extended a hand and took hold of the invitation that Mirabelle had given her. She looked it over as carefully as she could with consideration to her still throbbing head, yet it was rather straight forward: A tournament being held with the prize of the cure for the virus. Chise's eyes widened briefly at the mention of such a thing, then found herself feeling a sudden tightness in her chest. Something didn't quite sit right with her that someone had what was necessary to save so many lives, yet instead of choosing to pool resources to see it mass produced and distributed, they instead hold a competition for everyone to fight over like starving animals.. She could feel her teeth tighten against one another behind her lips as her jaw clenched; there was no doubt some ulterior motive behind all of this, but she had nothing else but a gut feeling. Could she try and prevent Mirabelle from leaving based on just that..? Doubtful. With a soft smile, Chise turned to Mirabelle. "I think I'll head back to the village.. I feel like so much needs to be done there, and I'm sure they can use as many hands as possible to help get things back under control. Good luck, Mirabelle-Sensei. Please be safe."

After speaking their farewells and Mirabelle departed ahead of Chise, she took her time to gather her thoughts and energy before she settled to begin her trek back in the direction of the Graveyard region, where the village resided. With luck, she'd hopefully make it there in time to help make a difference anywhere she could.

LLM toward Graveyard of Sin ( 115 )

This message marks the start of the following mission:

House of Black: A Graveyard's Backlog (Arc 13 Mission) Rank: B-rank Description: It seems as though the virus has officially peaked in the village, but that means the most people expected has already been infected and things are getting out of hand. Unclaimed bodies fill the streets, the undead roam and people are struggling to remain vigilant through this. You are tasked with a bit of cleanup duty in the village: Take out at least 10 undead and start a lineup of the deceased to be appropriately handled and prepared for their last rites. At the very least, "out of sight, out of mind" may give the village the necessary boost of morale to keep fighting through this. Note: Complete destruction of the undead bodies is not permitted (i.e. turned to ash, shredded into pieces, etc). Try to keep them as recognizable as possible.

After a few hours of travel that carried from one day into the next, leaving Chise to settle in for a moment of camping between locations, she finally arrived back in the primary region where Tsumigakure resided with fresh rest putting more pep in her step since the prior day. She was certainly worse-for-wear at the time, so a night's rest, regardless of the fact that it was on hard soil, served her a much needed recharge. She had set out from the Grand Divide after having pursued a lead with Mirabelle, yet they seemed to instead find something else along the way.. A tournament was being held, one where the supposed grand prize was the cure itself to this virus that was spreading and causing so much misfortune. A strange knot turned in her stomach as she thought that someone was making such a thing some gambling chip to a game, likely for their own entertainment. How many people would have to suffer while the conclusion to the tournament was nowhere in sight? Would the winner of the cure even think to actually produce and distribute it to all that need it? Was it possible that if one village received it, would they use it to prevent the other from getting their hands on it..? Perhaps there was more to it than she could hope to figure out on her own, but it didn't change the unsettling feeling she had stirring in her gut. For now, all she could manage was focusing on getting back to the village and hope to find some recognizable remnants of it since this had all began.

The closer she came to the village's walls, the more she began to see plumes of smoke rising into the sky. They seemed tame and even diluted, as if the fires that once generated them had been put out, yet the heat and decay of the charred contents into ashes were still bellowing some smoke. Chise knew there was little chance that it wasn't just the results of some festival that was happening, and that everyone was perfectly fine. Things were far too dire for such a naive ambition to be real.. Her emerald eyes slowly cast skyward toward a looming darkness that gradually began to crawl over the nearby hills; clouds that carried the rich scent of the first rain growing nearer with every passing moment. Chise realized she'd have to pick up the pace if she were to arrive before the weather turned. Just as she began to pick up her feet and begin her attempt at rushing forward, she

was suddenly cut off by an abrupt appearance directly in front of her. Luckily she was paying attention, otherwise she may have stumbling right into them. Bringing herself to a stop, she eyed the figure and recognized it to be the Tsumikage himself.. Why was he here? Could it be possible that something happened back at the village? He had his eyes fixed passed her shoulders as if looking for something else before meeting her gaze. "Mirabelle isn't with you?" She blinked before passing a glance over her own shoulder as well as if to confirm that she in fact wasn't there. It seemed Chise had become a little bit too familiar with Mirabelle's presence always being close as the sudden remembrance that she was elsewhere struck her, leaving a momentary low pit in her chest. She nodded, slowly turning her attention back to him. "We received a notice of a tournament that was being held with the cure to the virus, so she left to go and participate in hopes of winning it. I chose to return to the village to help out however I can." Her tone took in a renewed resolve as she straightened her posture and eyed the Kage directly. Chise hoped to be of use however she could; the idea of doing nothing and simply waiting for others to resolve this fight for her was out of the question and left a sour taste in her mouth whenever it'd cross her mind. The Kage offered a brief nod before extending a scroll to her. "That'll be fine then. I've got a mission for you. It's dirty work but someone's got to do it. When you've finished, keep doing whatever you can to keep the peace in the village. Tsumigakure will ride this out like every other struggle before." Chise extended a hand to take hold of the scroll carefully, retracting her arm to look at it closer. Before she had the opportunity to raise her attention back to the Kage to respond, he had disappeared in a sudden plume of white smoke. Her eyes widened briefly as she realized that it was in fact only a clone, which made more sense than the idea that he had come personally to meet her. She looked back down to the scroll and began to unbind it, reading through the contents to take in what it was she was now tasked to do. Her brows knitted together as she realized the grave task she had been set with.. She'd have to gather the dead, as well "put down" those that had risen again. A memory briefly flashed across her eyes at the first moment she had witnessed the Undead, back when she and Mirabelle had initially left the village to head toward the hospital. They were shambling, lifeless husks that took on the slight familiarity of the life they once were.. Could she truly manage this..? The sudden roll of thunder carried through the sky which jolted her back to reality. She clenched the scroll in her hands as she tucked it away into her bag, setting her attention back toward the village. ".. It's dirty work, but someone has to do it.. For the village, and everyone in it.." The words of the Kage rang back through her mind of the brief description of the mission, reiterating them aloud to herself as if to reinforce how true it was. With a deep breath, Chise began her trek forward once again, moving for the gates of the village with the new task set before her..

Upon crossing the threshold of the village's gates, Chise was immediately met with an eerie silence that she had immediately been put off by. If she bothered to really think about it, it made sense. Given the circumstances, everyone should be locked in their homes, businesses should be shut down and the streets were meant to be empty for the sake of safety and avoiding any unwanted spread of the virus. Yet it still felt so surreal to her, as if just knowing it was meant to be this way wasn't enough to prepare her for the reality once she had faced it.. The ominous silence was slowly washed away by the sound of the first colliding raindrops against the stone walkways and rooftops with a heart-wrenching sight of lifeless bodies lying indiscriminately around the area; some propped against walls, others tucked over benches or booths. Some were men, some were women, elderly.. Chise could feel something trying to work its way up from her stomach, a burning sensation that threatened to burst in a flow of bile if she wasn't careful. She bit sharp against her bottom lip as she restrained the urge, doing her best not to hover her gaze too long over any one particular body.. Suddenly, her attention was caught by the abrupt groans from a nearby alleyway. Her gaze flicked sideward in the direction, hoping to potentially spot someone alive, albeit struggling to stay that way given the sounds coming from them; with luck and a bit of swiftness she'd be able to help them. Instead, she was met with the sluggish, shambling posture of a "thing" that can no longer be considered alive, nor properly dead.. It seemed to be aimless, merely moving in whatever direction it could go in before colliding with an obstacle, adjusting slightly then dragging its decaying feet elsewhere until the same thing would happen. Chise felt frozen; feet glued to the rock pathway beneath her as she struggled to really determine what to do. She knew what her mission was, and even remembered what Mirabelle's initial judgement was upon first seeing such creatures, yet she strained to ignore the thought that they were once people; members of the village just like her.. Suddenly, an abrupt yelp sounded from a nearby food cart. Her eyes snapped toward the direction of it, eyeing the soft, dampened paws of a dog that was tucked underneath of it. It wasn't only her that had seen the animal as the undead before her immediately pivoted toward the sound and began to shuffle toward it. The dog was stuck, boxed in and incapable of escaping without running immediately into the undead being. She gritted her teeth as she watched it get closer, her brows knitting tightly in frustration at the growing sense of dread at what might happen once it reached the animal. Just as the walking corpse approached the cart and got down, moving to crawl beneath it to reach for the dog whom had let out another cry, Chise's voice escaped her in an abrupt shout as if in hopes to draw its attention, even if only for a moment. Just as she did, she immediately began to pour chakra into the ground beneath her,

directed through the contact of her feet as well as having suddenly dropped herself to the ground to slam her palms into it. She focused her intent at the base of the Corpse's feet, swirling and mixing with the pooling water that had begun to gather from the rain that had started not long ago. Suddenly, a pillar had formed from the water beneath the Undead as it rapidly ascended in a diagonal direction, launching the body of the creature through the air before colliding with a heart-stopping thud against a building, falling to the ground in just as rough of a collision, it's head having been split open from the blunt force of striking against the stone wall of the building (1). Immediately she stood back up and rushed toward the cart where the dog was, she peeked underneath to see it shivering and whining in place. "You have to run now.. go somewhere sa-- a-Ah!? What the--!" As if immediately broken from her naive notion that there was really anywhere safe at the moment for it to go, she had suddenly been jumped from the side by another Undead that had moved from behind the cart. How could she have missed it..? Was it stuck, or somehow intentionally waiting for her to get closer? The creature quickly pinned her as it buried its decaying hands into her shoulders, threatening to tear through her coat as it slammed her against the wooden surface of the cart. She lifted a foot up quickly to plant against its body, trying to pry it away from her with all the strength in her legs, yet it was barely enough to prevent it from snapping at her face and jugular. She clenched her teeth violently as she practically tried to retreat deeper into the firm wood paneling behind her, yet to no avail. With little choice, she lifted her hands and quickly performed the ram hand seal, letting her hands part to begin generating water in a gathering process around her right arm. After a brief delay, she immediately lifted her right arm and slammed her palm forward against the center of the Corpse's torso, releasing the gathered water in a pressurized bullet that launched forward and blasted against the Undead's chest, launching it backward several feet and collapsing against the ground (2). Chise panted rigorously as she eyed it's body with wild and panicked eyes, the chest cavity having been blown open from the close range and impact of the technique's force, accompanied by the fact that it was still a decaying body, regardless of whatever it was that took hold of it to reanimate it..

After a few delayed moments, Chise slowly began to recollect herself. She lifted a hand and rested it in a tight grip at her chest; a fistful of her own clothes for her to pull at in an attempt to focus on anything other than the panic that had just overwhelmed her mere seconds ago.. She slowly closed her emerald eyes, only to suddenly snap them back open as she heard the stumbling of more bodies in the distance. She perked up with a wary gaze, shifting rapidly back and forth and then over her head to make sure another one wasn't making an attempt on jumping her unexpectedly. Instead, the sound was that of a small group of them a ways down the street; roughly five of them arranged a few meters apart from one another, bumping into crates, walls, boxes and fences alike in aimless direction with the exception of two that were both hovering over what appeared to be another lifeless corpse, tearing at it's flesh and consuming whatever was left in the way of flesh and bone. The grizzly sight forced another flare of bile to rush her as she clapped a hand over her mouth, fighting violently to resist the burning sensation of acids that were threatening to overcome her senses. With tightly knitted brows, Chise slowly shifted from her seated position as she brought herself to her feet, staring down the street at the scene before her. The memory of what it was that she had read in the scroll flashed through her mind; the mission she needed to do here was right in front of her, yet she felt paralyzed to do anything. Perhaps it was the fear that struck her from the previous close encounter, or maybe the fact that she still hadn't quite processed all of this yet. Was this truly what it meant to be apart of the Ninja world? Was this dread and bleak reality the true way of the world and everything she had experienced up until now just some naive, blissfully ignorant way of things..? Her fists clenched at her sides as she slowly looked back toward the cart, eyeing the still shivering dog underneath of it that seemed just as paralyzed as she was. If she did nothing, would this animal know how to survive..? If she just ran away from all of this, would it find another way to stay alive, or would it be left here to die, knowing only fear and pain just before it's final breaths? She couldn't take that chance. She refused to let such a thing happen..

With a sudden renewal of confidence, Chise re-centered her attention forward down the street at the small gathering of Undead ahead of her. She needed to put these husks of life down.. Even if they were once people, the mere idea that they might be trapped in their own decaying bodies was enough motivation for her to do what needed to be done. She took a few
You must be registered for see images
steps forward, closing the gap between her and the Undead up to ten meters. The sudden thought that there was far more of them than of her and the reminder of how easily just one of them had overcome her by coming up from behind her only moments ago made her realize that she didn't particularly care to face them head on, if she could avoid it.. Perhaps she could construct some clones to balanced the odds? Just as she had this thought, two of the standing Undead closest to her had both pivoted to face her simultaneously and began to rush her. A spike of panic rushed her heart as it began to beat rigorously; she didn't have much time to think now. Taking the first immediate thing that came to mind, Chise recalled that she knew more than just water techniques now, given the short yet proactive time that she'd spent with Mirabelle up until now, giving her the resources she needed to study other elements and their techniques. Quickly she began to gather chakra within her as she clapped her hands together into a firm hand seal, willing the earth surrounding the feet of the two Undead that were approaching her to rise up and quickly coil around their feet and ankles, stopping them in their tracks and holding them trapped in place. A mixture of sweat and the water from the rain began to drip down her temples as she clenched her teeth from the tension of the situation. She wasn't entirely sure or overly confident by how durable those earth bindings were and she didn't much care to test them by waiting to see if the Undead could break free of them. With a deep breath, she proceeded to conjure forth more chakra as she reformed the seal previously performed into that of the bird seal before willing the stone and mud ahead of her to begin warping against the will of her chakra, molding them upward in sharp, spear-like protrusions that with her intent, began to erupt forward in a trail until finding the two Undead she had ensnared, skewering through their bodies in several different locations, but most primarily through an eye socket to each of them, destroying the minds behind them and returning them to a lifeless, dead state once again (3/4). With a brief sigh of relief that had worked as well as it did, she realized that the other three remaining Undead had all taken notice to the noise of her techniques working the earth around them, all turning to face her as they began to stand and charge her, closing the gap quicker than she had hoped they would. She quickly began to lunge backward several paces to maintain a distance, all the while sporadically releasing her chakra into the air around her, fusing with the rain and moisture in the air as it began to form concentrated dense spheres of water above her. With a swinging arc of her arm forward, the spheres all launched forward as projectiles and collided against each of the Undead, focused primarily for their heads as they broke through the softened decaying flesh and struck considerable damage to their skulls, concussing them and causing them to drop limp into the ground, lifeless once again (5-7).

In her retreat backward from the Undead that had previously charged her, Chise had found herself backed against another building wall, leaving herself propped there for a moment as she attempted to collect her breath and calm her thoughts, yet she wouldn't find this so easy to do. Without warning, she felt a tight grip grab hold of her ankle. Her gaze shot downward in panicked confusion as she saw a split-apart Undead that had
You must be registered for see images
crawled out of the alleyway beside her, clawing at her pant-leg, trying to pull her or itself closer to bite into her. She tried to retreat to the opposite side yet it only brought her stumbling to the ground as the Undead began to crawl closer up her legs. She began to kick against it wildly, planting her hands against the ground as she struggled to pull herself backward against the ground, yet the wetness of the stone's surface from the rain caused her palms to only slip across it instead of carrying her as intended. With a shout of frustration and fear, Chise had reached for a nearby stray rock as she brought it rapidly around in an arced swing against the Undead's temple, causing it to tumble slightly off of her, giving her the time to tuck her legs out from under it's grasp as she proceeded to continuously ram the rock against it's skull over and over until a visible cave-in could be seen across the top left portion of it's head, leaving it lifeless once again (8). She remained straddled over it, heaving exasperated breaths as she could feel her heart practically trying to beat out of her chest. She slowly let the bloodied rock fall from her grip as she stumbled backwards and away from it, placing herself in the center of the street once again.Carefully she began to pick herself up, not wanting to remain in such a vulnerable condition for too long. She looked around herself, realizing that the noise she had just made didn't go unnoticed as two Undead slumped through a broken door to a house, moving toward her. One was like the others she had faced so far, but another was much larger and bulkier; the person that it once was likely a very strong and powerful individual given the muscle tone of their body. Taking a couple of steps back to put a bit more distance between her and them, Chise immediately began to gather chakra into her arm, gripping hold of her own forearm as she extended the arm forward. Rocks had begun to manifest themselves surrounding her outstretched hand in a circle around it, utilizing her chakra to form themselves. Once all formed, she released them forward, each rushing projectiles that were aimed toward the Undead. The smaller Undead had been hit by three rocks, each striking near it's head as the force was enough to knock it off balance and backward into the house again, bouncing it's head off of the floor and leaving it motionless (9). Meanwhile, the rest of the barrage collided against the hulking Undead, a few striking at it's head while others hit across it's body, yet it didn't seem to do anything, the rocks merely shattering like glass against it's body. The moment of realization that ordinary techniques such as that wouldn't be enough left her stunned and unaware that the Undead had continued it's approach, leaving her little time to react as she tried to leap away, only for it's meaty hands to clasp around her neck, casually lifting her from the ground. Kicking her feet beneath her now hovering state, Chise's hands lifted to plant against the Undead's own, clawing and prying at them to try and free herself as she fought to take in gasps of breath that had no means of reaching her lungs. The sudden flash of the dormant memory from her past rushed through her mind, the familiar sensation of having the breath choked out of her something she didn't particularly care to remember, and certainly not like this. Clenching her teeth tightly together, she suddenly opted to instead of clawing at the Undead's hands, moved to clap her hands hard between them, conjuring a sudden rush of chakra that fused with the wind around her and released an abrupt and violent gale of wind that pushed outward between them, tossing the Undead away from her, as well as her away from it, the gale also striking against herself in the process, knocking what air she had left out of her as she collided against a wooden stall on the opposite side of the street while the Undead stumbled into the wall of the house it had originally emerged from. Coughing violently, Chise felt the sting around her neck and along the rest of her body form the impact she had just taken having been thrown backward, her brow twitching as she watched the hulking corpse begin to stumble forward once again toward her after recollecting it's balance. With stiff shoulders from the pain that was no doubt wracking through her body yet she couldn't feel from the adrenaline pumping through her veins, Chise struggled to lift her hand as chakra began to concentrate around the center of her palm, gradually forming an orb of water that -once entirely formed and concentrated- suddenly skewered outward in the form of several spear-like streams of water that each rammed through the joints of each limb to the Undead's body, natural weak points that regardless of muscle mass, could be taken advantage of with enough precision. The final spear of water had found its way through the Undead's skull, directly between it's eyes, immediately reducing it to a limp mass that was held up by the spears until Chise released the chakra holding them, resulting in the body falling the ground in a hard thud (10).

Chise sat on the ground, heavy breaths escaping her as she ran her hand tenderly along her throat, feeling the sting of the iron grip that had felt like it nearly snapped her neck in half.. Her emerald eyes felt heavy as she slowly pulled herself up from the ground, letting out several more violent coughs that eventually resulted in a small spitting of blood that she coughed up to the ground, yet it wasn't all too certain if it was caused by the illness she had like the coughing fit she previously had back in the Grand Divide before, or the encounter she just had; possibly both.. She slowly shifted her gaze around herself as she carefully looked around every corner and edge she could see, waiting quietly in place for several minutes to see if anything else would come forth to try and jump her, yet it seemed to have grown silent, at least for now. She slowly looked up toward the sky, taking in the cool touch of the rain to wash over her face for a moment before she looked back down, eyeing the direction of the original cart where the dog had been hiding under. She moved toward it, peeking underneath only to see that the animal was no longer there, likely having taken off at the very first opportunity. Somehow she had felt a little disappointed, yet at the same time relieved that she wasn't instead finding it's lifeless body.. Hopeful that it got away, Chise propped herself against the cart as she took a few more minutes to gather herself, letting the adrenaline slowly die down. Raising her hands after taking her time to calm down, she performs a series of hand seals that suddenly conjures forth a few plumes of smoke, creating three simple clones infused with some earth chakra to make them slightly more sustainable that she then utilizes to begin gathering the bodies of both the dead and the Undead she had just faced, carefully lining them up on the side of the road one body at a time. She wasn't entirely sure who she was meant to report to when this was all done to come and pick them up, nor was she entirely certain that anyone would, any time soon.. Chise looked upon the faces of each person, the

sense of terror that might have been expected to be frozen upon their features from their final moments was more one of peace, as if despite all that they faced in their final moments, the eternal rest they now had was more of a relief than a burden. Perhaps she was looking into it too much, yet the thought helped her continue on with the job she was doing, making it a point to gently push down the eyelids of each body that had their eyes left open through death. After having gathered all those that she could, Chise lifted her gaze toward the sudden glimmering light of the sky above her; the dark clouds that had loomed over the village for a time having dispersed and made room for the sun to shine instead now. Water dripped from her soaked hair and down her face, her emerald eyes fixed on the slow revealing blue sky as if longingly. ".. I know I shouldn't think it.. but, it's hard not to wish for the same peace they seem to have now.." Chise sighed to herself in a tone of melancholy as she lowered her gaze one final time to the line of bodies she had arranged before slowly making her way down the street, unsure of where else to go right away, so she opted to head for Mirabelle's apartment, where she hoped it was still untouched and just as comforting as it was before..

Banri would arrive and hand over the artifacts to the clone.

( Sainan no Fune ) - Calamity Vessel
Type: Artifact

Artifact Rank: A-rank

Range: Short - Mid

Chakra: N/A ( chakra equal to the seal )

Damage: N/A

Description: Calamity Vessel is a unique artifact crafted by a group of the first Fuuinjutsu practitioners. It comes in the form of an all-black chain-link necklace with a red, spiraling gem hanging from it. Specifically, the gem would be a protection mechanism for the user against outside sealing jutsu, seeing as they specialized in such. The gem is able to passively sap chakra from the user when needed. With the chakra fueling the gem, it is able to innately react to dormant or active sealing jutsu. Once an enemy sealing technique's abilities attempt to become active or a dormant seal is in range, the gem would send out an instant pulse of chakra that covers mid-range, canceling and destroying said sealing technique altogether. This can only be done on sealing techniques of A-rank or lower, and would use up an equivalent amount of chakra as the seal in question is made up of. This would be a passive ability, not taking up a move slot due to the artifact simply using chakra on its own accord. The ability of this artifact can only be used once per arc and can't be recharged until a new arc.

(Arashikyojin) – Storm Giant’s Signet
Type: Artifact

Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A (+1 Rank Suiton)
Description: A ring traditionally worn on the left thumb; the ring is a relic from the Northern peoples of Kael Drakkel in the Glacier Mount. It is fashioned out of an indestructible blue stone that augments the user’s water manipulation skills. All Water techniques of the user’s are strengthened by one rank, up to A-Rank. S-Rank and above techniques are augmented by an additional 10 damage. Once every four turns the user can further manipulate their water techniques through an infusion from the ring, granting them properties akin to that of the Grudge Rain Technique. This causes the user’s techniques to gain chakra absorptive properties, capable of consuming the chakra in techniques of equivalent chakra, rather than in damage. This infusion relinquishes the traditional damage boost, opting for a boost of 20 chakra instead. When the water technique directly strikes a living target with a chakra pool, it will drain 100 chakra per full turn of contact. After using this infusion, the ring's abilities are deactivated for a period of two turns.

(Senzo Sentan) – Ancestral Edge
Type: Artifact

Rank: A
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A (+25 per strike)
Damage: N/A
Description: The Ancestral Edge is a five foot spear forged from steel and imbued with a mysterious orange ore from Tobusekai, the Eastern Continent. The spear predates the Hangurian Freehold, although is thought to have come after the Sage of Six Paths spread chakra throughout the world. Unlike traditional and conventional spears, the Ancestral Edge does not cut bone or rend flesh; instead its blunt strikes siphons the essence of that which it hits. In simple terms, the spear drains chakra from those it comes in contact with, barring the wielder. A single strike, a moment of contact, drains 50 chakra from the victim and returns 25 chakra to the user. The 25 chakra that is not returned to the user is stored within the spear, which is slowly stored up within the spear in order to access its fullest potential: the ability of nullification. Once the wielder has successfully stored 25 chakra within the spear, the spear can release an invisible pulse of chakra up to the end of mid-range from the user’s position. This invisible pulse of chakra, travelling at thrice the user’s speed, has the potential to nullify all Fuuinjutsu up to, and including, S-Rank for two turns. The spear is remarkably durable, being able to sustain itself from A-Rank attacks. The spear can survive a single S-Rank attack, but after which its defenses will be nullified; this leaves it vulnerable to mere freeform damage. The spear’s chakra reserves are drained at a rate of 25 per turn outside of battle.

This post marks the beginning of my mission using these storyboard elements:
- Do a favor for a villager (1)
Summary: Skarlet would take Banari stuff and keep hold on for him.
________________________________________________________

As Skarlet listens to what Banari says she would take possession of the 3 artifacts.

I am guessing you will be gone for a bit. Am I holding these items for you or will someone else pick these up? I will take them to my lab and have them ins storage there so that they remain there safely.

Skarlet would await a response before heading to her lab.

Banri covers his mouth with his arm and coughs.

"I doubt you'll see me again... But for this favor, you may keep the Ancestral Edge for yourself. A very powerful man that goes by the Dark King will get the ring and necklace at some point. He'll find you...."

Banri coughs again and says his farewells before moving on.

Skarlet could tell by his statement that he would not be back if not a long time but at all. Skarlet would take all 3 artifacts and start to head out to her lab.

Will do Banri. Till the next time, I see you whether it be in this life or next. Stay safe.

Skarlet would than dash at fast speeds towards her lab.

After having finished settling her mission within Tsumigakure that she had been assigned, Chise made it a point to stop by Mirabelle's apartment to ensure everything was still in one piece, at least relatively.. She took some time to rest there, occasionally taking a moment to clean a room here or there given the conditions they had left it in when all of this had begun. She found the bed that Mirabelle had been resting in when Chise practically dragged her there. The rags she used in rotation to help cool her fever, the bowl of water arranged on the nightstand and the blankets and sheets that were tossed in a mess from the rush they went through after Mirabelle had woken up. The memory seemed to spark some sense of nostalgia in her, despite it not having been quite that long ago. Yet so much seemed to have happened since then that it could easily be mistaken for a lifetime ago. Chise took the time to bring the room back to an orderly manner; a level of control that would bring her some peace of mind thinking that -if nothing else- Mirabelle would have something to return to that wasn't so unpleasant.

After awhile, Chise had noticed a bird flutter into a window that she had temporarily opened to let in some fresh air. A note seemed to be strapped around a collar that was attached around it's neck and torso, wrapped in a small cylindrical container. Chise blinked, wondering if the bird would fly away the moment it noticed her shuffling about, yet when it seemed to not leave, she opted to approach and take hold of the note it had, of which it flew away the moment she had it. Unfolding the paper, she noticed immediately it was from Mirabelle. It appeared to be an update letter of some sort; detailing her experience at the tournament and where she planned to head after. Chise's eyes softened a moment as she considered what it was she was up to.. What if she was heading somewhere dangerous and she was still hurt from the battle she faced in the tournament? She knew Mirabelle was capable of a lot by comparison to herself, yet everyone had their limits, surely. With a sense of resolve suddenly passing over her eyes, Chise set the note in her pocket as she moved around the apartment, gathering up a replenishment of supplies to arrange in her bag, including a map she had found among some of Mirabelle's things before setting off once again, making her way toward the Northern-most part of the region where the map began to lead her toward Warenaiwa, the first region she'd have to pass through in her freshly begun journey across the known world.

Spawning with Roronoa bio in sig

Also starting a custom mission:

- Gather and learn about scientific tools (B)

Roronoa Zora... Here she was, right in the heart of the village she was born into; Though it had been many year since she had even seen the place. It looked much different than she remembered. Bigger... Stronger... But also seemed like a bad time to be returning... But Banri's will was very specific.. Banri had contracted a very dangerous disease, completely taking over his body and weakening him severely. On top of such, he entered a world wide tournament in which he finished top 8 before being severely injured and eliminated by some doggo man. Before the disease and injuries fully kicked his ass, he was able to pass off his artifacts and write a letter to one of his closest friends... Zora. He notified her of what was happening in the world, where to find the artifacts and warned her to return home from her isolation immediately... With direcd word that her friend was passing away, Zora decided she'd reveal herself to the world for the first time in over 15 years.

First thing first though... She needed to gather tools... Banri was pretty specific about this also. To his house she'd go!
