[Coming from here]

Mission Objective:

- Obtain a sample of the sea of life.

Hibari arrived, having crossed the long oceans to get here. He was looking for the remnants of the events that had transpired here. With his rinnegan he looked around, trying to identify the chakra here but it's as the rumours had said, this wasn't of this world. There was no chakra. Though there was something. As he was entering he could see the different colour of the water, he wasn't risking touching that directly. As he entered the landmark he created an orb of water below him using it to carry him above the water's surface travelling across it:

( Suiton: Seisuiryū ) - Water Release: Azure Water Stream
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user will create a moving body of water beneath him that travels towards the opponent carrying the user. They then slash the opponent with their sword multiple times.

[Ocean conversion reference]

Contamination:
(Enki Keiyaku) – Amino-Geis (Reference)
Spoiler
Type: Supplementary
Rank: Forbidden
Range: Short – Long
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: The Amino-Geis is a sort of contract cast upon an organism on the cellular level when exposed to the corrupting influence of the Sea of Life, which harbors the Authority and will of Tiamat. When placed, a transformation begins to occur where the Geis rewrites the organism’s existence on a structural and genetic level. The entirety of the body is remodeled and abandons its current form allowing Tiamat to impose whatever physical form she wishes to impose upon it. The body’s control-center, the mind, is also rewritten, with all traces of humanity and intelligence being replaced by the will of Tiamat. This contract is incomparable to ninja techniques which impose mind control, as they are temporary bindings that can be broken through surges of chakra and other means. Amino-Geis is a type of Divine skill that cannot be broken short of the organism being entirely destroyed or another phenomenon in nature, possessing similar Authority to that of Tiamat’s. In some sense it is similar to Yang Release’s Ring of Hell, allowing for physical modification of another’s body. However, this skill engages in that on a much deeper conceptual level, allowing for genetic material modification on a massive scale that allows for absolute control over mind and body.

Hibari looked around, it wasn't just part of the ocean, everything here was black. What had really gone on here. This wasn't of this world... or was it. Then again, maybe it was. What if this was the world biting back. Wars had destroyed life and land for an age, who knew what came before them. Hibari wasn't here for a history lesson, he only came from a sample of the water for them to examine to try and move forwards. He pulled out a vial getting closer to the water, but as he got closer, the water began to ripple. Something was coming. He controlled his water to move him up quickly away from the surface.

Bursting forth from the ocean, a being like Hibari had never seen, lashing out at him but he managed to move out of the way in time. It landed on the surface as the water resettled. Now as the water had splashed up, Hibari avoided it, but with his rinnegan tracking he managed to hold out the vial to capture droplets as they fell without them touching him, though now he was faced with something like never before. This mutated beast was like a piranha with arms and legs, what kind of mutation was this?

You must be registered for see images

It landed on the surface it's fang's bared, focused on Hibari. He wasn't getting out of here without a fight. But what was he even up against? He needed to get the sample back. Without understanding what they were up against, they didn't stand a chance. The beast went under water swimming around. It was only a matter of time until it attacked again. Hibari had to do something quick. The beast lunged once more and Hibari moved out the way throwing three kunai with explosive tags at it, moving back as the exploded on it just before it hit the surface of the water.

The being went under the water. There was silence as the water settled. This was his chance. He controlled his orb of water aiming to leave. Moving while he still could, closing up the vial and placing the vial in his jacket. As he made his way, he heard something behind. The water being parted by a large fin. The beast was following him. He needed to do something quick. If he released his water jutsu he'd fall into the black mass that was the ocean, but if he didn't do something, he'd be at the mercy of the beast. Instead using the connection of the rods through his body. He sent the message to Tsuna...

"I need help..."

As Tsuna rested he got a message from Hibari through their link. He could see the beast chasing Hibari. He knew the plan, he just had to get his Animal path ready.
With that going up in the air, Hibari released his water jutsu and swung his hand forwards as the beast leapt at him. As he did this he released a blade of wind that was aimed to cut straight through the beast, cleaving it in two, between it's eyes all the way down to it's tail, each half falling back down into the ocean to either side of Hibari. Though as he did this, he began to fall, just as he was about to reach the ocean, in a puff of smoke he was gone back to the land of water as animal path summoned him back

Before he was summoned back, he noticed the insides of the beast he jutsu cut in half. It was like nothing he'd seen. The ocean had changed it completely:

(Fūton: Kaze No Yaiba) - Wind Style: Wind Blade
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: This technique is a pinpoint slashing strike, where the user emits chakra from their fingertips and materialises it into an near invisible weapon that assaults the enemy in a gust of wind. If the Sickle Weasel Technique can be regarded as a swarm of small wind kunai, then this technique is akin to a virtually unavoidable longsword which can leave the target's body mutilated. Just being in close proximity to the technique can cause minor cuts. The wind blades can be created and thrown, like projectiles, in rapid succession, although in this case, each one weaker than the single use application. The technique cannot be blocked by physical weapons and is insanely fast by not relying on the use of Hand seals but, because it still requires the user to perform hand gestures to use and is somewhat visible in the effect it produces, it can still be defended against by using appropriate evasion techniques or fast elemental ninjutsu.

Starting A rank Mission:
  • Obtain firsthand experience of the severe effects of the virus.

Rumors had spread of the large scale battle. Luckily Kouen was a rouge and was nowhere to be found. As he approached the dark ocean, the atmosphere was incredibly dark. As if hell once descended onto the playing ground. As he approached closer he heard a voice in his head

"Master... What exactly are you doing? You do realized that this thing does crazy things to your body? Did you forget that you already have whatever this is?" One of the Djinn spoke inside of Kouen mind.

"Yes I do.. but in order for me to understand this myself, I have to experience the worst. I promise you, I wont die to this. You of all people should know this..."

Kouen said back to his Djinn being.. only to be retorted with silence. He had to make sure to deactivate the borg. As he did this, he simply jumped into the dark lake.. right after jumping back out.. This illness was indeed powerful because Kouen could feel the effects of it spreading already.. It felt as his insides were tearing up from the inside out. Slowly grasping his breath, almost on the verge of hyperventilating. Gaining composure. He almost couldnt bring himself to get out of the lake.. But this was just the starting effects. He knew it was going to get worst..

Looking at the scenery once more he decided to walk away.. It will take awhile before it officially starts to settle in. So he sought out a village for refuge.. Kouen wasnt a man of ill will but he also knew in order to experiment on this and come up with a cure for it.. He will also need test subjects.. or in best case scenario people who were willing to work with him. So he sought out a home..Stumbling as he walk he knew he wasnt going to be able to walk for long.. The scenery was indeed dark and gloomy.. This place needs rebranding.

Explore an infected location.
Obtain a sample of the sea of life.

I would awaken to a rising piquant smell engulfing my senses, boding me to open my eyes to the cockcrows of the day. The rays of light shone down upon the vast ocean, striking the surface, but just barely going deeper. The heavily contaminated waters would flow calmly beneath the boat, gently rocking it in an almost constant pace. While the ocean did look beautiful and somewhat scenic in an artistic sense, it was everything but that. Hokubu had served as the main ground for the battle with a proclaimed goddess, causing it's rapid metamorphosis into a petri dish of cataclysmic levels. Or so they say. From what I can see, this ocean is just Tia-whatever's bathroom. She took a massive piss and called it the sea of life. While I am all for asserting dominance like dogs, it's a step too far to have your piss contain some std that infects anyone! Or well, at least that's my theory. Anyways, whatever this ocean contained, it was something unpleasant, something that had taken effect on me by some means. The most likely case was during the battle with the proclaimed goddess, perhaps a side effect?

The virus or disease that had infected me and others seemed to be quite potent, as it gnawed at my chakra pool, reducing it by a significant amount. Not only that, but I feel weaker overall, as if my very own life essence had been weakened. The sensation was something I did not like, but for the time being I had to muscle through it.

My mission was one that could prove to be important, as the fates of countless others could be affected by it. It was an interesting prospect, yet all the while still a bother. Nevertheless, it was time to begin. I would ditch my boat and ride atop a newly spawned Hawk. The flight path would help cover a larger portion much more efficiently, but for what seemed to be like an hour, the ocean was rather uneventful. Nothing of particular interest had popped up yet, perhaps it was a calmer area. I progress further, picking up the pace, soaring high in the sky away from the surface level. It would appear that the landmark lacked any of it's normal traits, and who could question it? This place was simply no place for any commoner. My exploration of the ocean would persist, as I move from one area to the other, trying to gauge any sort of differences if any. The differences on the surface level were almost non-existent, with the life above being describable the same. Or at least normal life. While there were no signs of regular people, the ocean was littered with beasts of various sizes and shapes. It seemed that the mutation that the fake goddess had caused have had unique repercussions on the animal life. From what it appeared, there was a potential that Hokubu's very own food chain had been broken.

Description: Using the ability to manipulate Ink, the user will gain the ability to place the ink on their bodies for the sake of future battles. Similar to getting a tattoo, the ink will rest on the user's skin in a variety of shapes and forms, and can often times be confused with Fūinjutsu seals. The ink "tattoos" have a variety of uses and properties, namely the ability to create ink animals directly from the user's body without the need for a scroll, because in essence the user would have turned his body into a living canvas. By channeling chakra into the ink the user can have the tattoos move about on their bodies in order to ensure the perfect orientation. Ninjutsu and Ink manipulation techniques that would require pre-prepared scrolls can be done with Sōzō no Karada by either the user drawing the needed shapes on their body or having the image needed already drawn on before the match. How this works is by first drawing the required shape/kanji onto their body and then coursing chakra through the ink to summon the preferred effect. Due to the ability to move the ink while it is on the skin, a new shape can be created instantly with chakra control and as such the user would only need to drawn a single shape once and then have it re-purposed for anything else. As mentioned before, the main ability of this technique is to allow the user to bring forth small, ink made creatures for the sake of carrying messages, scouting, or general amusement. Meaning, even if they were used to attack they would count as free form techniques with no rank or damage value at all. The creatures able to be created are listed below:

Hawk (鷹, Taka) Can be ridden for reconnaissance or high-speed travel. Smaller variants can be used to carry explosive tags or be used to deliver messages.

Rat (鼠, Nezumi) Can swarm across an area to search for a target much faster than the user would be able to on their own. Being so small, the rats are inconspicuous, also making them suitable for covert message delivery.

Snake (蛇, Hebi) Can be used as ropes to restrain someone. With the ability to soundlessly enter through even the smallest crevice, they can also be used for covert ops.

Tomoe Lion (巴獅子, Tomoe Shishi) Used for travelling on ground, these lions appear vicious on the outside but are actually harmless. If needed they can be used to hold down a target with their powerful jaws.

Fish (魚, Sakana) Made of special, water resistant ink, the fishes are able to travel through bodies of water to deliver messages or very small objects in their mouths.

Note: Must be stated in the user's biography or beginning of the battle.
Note: Up to 3 tattoos can be made in one go.
Note: The technique can be used five times per event, with each contract lasting two turns.(In the case four are made at a single go) Alternatively, the user can create a less amount of constructs and have the additional turns added to the created construct. For example releasing two creations that would last four turns each. Due to the technique lacking any actual damage potential, this extension serves for more story oriented purposes.

The current state of the ocean, in addition to my very own, essentially bounded me to lower the Hawk to obtain a sample. The Hawk would decent in an area that appeared to be free from beasts, at least for the moment. I had to obtain a sample of the sea of life, studying it would no doubt yield results on some front. But could I touch the sea itself? It was a rather risky and stupid thing to do all things considered. As such, I'd bring forth three vials from my pouch. I would utilise my shadow to form into tendrils that wrap around the vial, securing the vials before directing them towards the ocean, scooping up three quick samples. The hawk would have dived, whooshing by the top of the ocean. The tendrils would be placed in angle that accounted for the Hawk's movement and in a manner that allowed the swift placement of the lids of the vial, ensuring the proper storage of the samples.I would proceed to clean the outside of the vials, utilising sterilisers and gloves, making sure that no contact with the sea of life occurs. I would then store the vials within my pouch and relinquish manipulation of my shadow.

(Kage: Kurechin) - Shadow Arts: Cretin
Type: Supplementary
Rank: E
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 5
Damage: N/A
Description: Used for the purpose of story telling, Cretin allows the user to manipulate his shadow in all of its forms in order to convey a story to an audience. The story can range from a simple manipulation that covers a few centimeters to a grand, up to scale, extravagant showing. The user's imagination is the only limit. The technique can last 5 turns due to it being inherently harmless and easy to use. It costs 5 chakra points per turn to sustain, with a turn interval required between uses.

I would then take my leave, opting not to investigate in the ocean life, at least not for the moment.

As I was about to leave the ocean, I would be greeted by a familiar person. I did not know the man personally, but there were some general ideas surrounding him. Yo, I would reply, waving a greeting towards the man, what's up, erm Menma? I would say with a slight scratch of the back of my head.

Hearing himself be mistaken for Menma will cause Hei to laugh. Their personalities complete opposites.

"Neh, I'm not Menma. My name is Hei. I believe we fought along each other briefly against Tiamat. Your name is Vayne right?"

Oh, sorry, I'm quite terrible with names. I would reply. Yup, I am Vayne. So, what did you want to ask me?

Accepting/Starting the following mission
Fight an individual of comparable strength (3)

The man spoke clearly on his intentions, intending to take me down for the bounty and proceed to study me. I let out a chuckle as I slip and ingest a soldier pill, doubling my chakra, enabling my chained technique of the Sage's Body to be more effective. It would enable my entrance into SM, albeit in it's imperfect, but unique pitviper form. I would remain visible, standing atop the Hawk 10 meters from the ocean, and 12 meters away from Hei.At least you're quite forward. Let's begin then!

( Heishi Piru ) Soldier Pills
Type:Supplementary
Description and Background: Soldier pills are a more combat aimed variation of the military ration pill. Upon ingesting the pill, your chakra supply doubles, but burns at a greatly accelerated rate due to the "pressure" involved. Upon ingesting the pill, any ninjutsu you use gains +15 damage and any taijutsu gains +10 for 4 turns. Upon expiration of the effects you must use an extra 10 chakra for every technique afterwards for 5 turns with no enhanced effects due to the fatigue setting in meaning you have to force your techniques more, and thereby adding to the toll it takes on your body. These pills are a basic medicine medical ninjas use in combat and are essentially black small round pills which are swallowed and absorbed through the mucosa in the stomach, made off of various ingredients and medicinal herbs as well as stimulants. Can only be given out to up to 4 times, excluding the user's use.
Description of Side Effects:
-Upon using a second pill in a conflict the additional chakra cost after expiry rises to +30 until healed
-Upon taking a third pill, the medical ninja will suffer cardiac arrest upon expiry of the pill.
-Costs a move per turn to use.
(Senpo: Hebi Sēji Hontai) Sage Art: Snake Sage's Body
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Charka Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Snake Sage Mode users discovered the ability to summon the scales of the White Snake Sage. With summoning the scales, they have the ability to absorb natural energy and transfer the energy to the user. The user would summon the scales along their body. The user doesn't have enhance protection but just summons the scales along their body. These scales attach their selves to the user and gather natural energy and transfer the energy per turn at a 10% rate of the user's chakra for the following four turns. The percentage is based on the user's max chakra reserve so for an example if the users has 1000 max chakra reserve 10% of that chakra is converted into senjutsu chakra which is 100 so that is what is transferred to the user that turn and the following turns. The first turn the scales are summoned it auto converts 10% of the chakra and when the chakra is converted, the user enters Sage Mode that turn also; if they have not already. While this technique is converting chakra the user can only use two other jutsus until this technique ends. This can be used for all forms of Snake Sage Mode(Imperfect and Perfect Sage Mode) This cannot be used to prolong Perfect Sage Mode as per the rules but can be used to enter Perfect Sage Mode and get to its max level of senjutsu chakra which is 40% max chakra reserve.
-Only summoned by users of Sage Mode
-This technique last four turns or when the user cancels the technique.
-Can only be used twice per battle one turn cool down in between usage if a Perfect Sages but two turn cool down if Imperfect Sages. Perfect Sages can used this technique three times per battle
-No other Sage Mode jutsus in the same turn as this tech

Description: One of the more naturally talented Snake Sage Mode users, Shady, had found a way to develope his sage mode to more fit the snakes he used. Specifically, he found a way to adapt his own bodily functions to be like that of the Crotalinae Species, or Pitvipers; A Species of snake that he himself discovered. Whenever the user enter sage mode, whether it is Perfect or Imperfect form, he would sacrifice more chakra in order to gain more unique snake features belonging to Pitvipers. This would pertain to their scales, senses and their passive abilities mentioned for basic Pitvipers. This includes their naturally advanced sensing through their pit organs. And the natural ability to camouflage their scales. Due to the minor change to the anatomy, the user would have access to these passives when entering sage mode.
Note: A passive ability that is activated along with Snake Sage Mode but must be placed in the bio and posted upon use (but not taking up a move slot)
Note: Must have learned Pitvipers Sub-species of Snakes
( Fukanzen Hebi Sennin Modo ) - Imperfect Snake Sage Mode
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: N/a
Chakra cost: N/A ( -10 turn to sustain )
Damage Points: Active + 20 damage to all ninjutsu and taijutsu up to S rank
Description: An empowered state of body achieved by blending natural energy with one’s physical and spiritual energy. The mode heightens performance on all levels by adding a new dimension of power to the user’s chakra. The state is a direct result of Senjutsu chakra circulating through the body. To enter this form, a minimum of 10% of the user’s maximum chakra reserve must be moulded into Senjutsu chakra, all subsequent technique employ Senjutsu chakra until the minimum cost (-10/turn) cannot be paid to sustain the mode. The user is resistant to damage, reducing 20 damage from all techniques for the duration of this technique. The user is able to passively sense chakra and his/her perception and reflexes are enhanced. Their ninjutsu and strength increases, empowering taijutsu and other close range physical combat techniques by +20. Additionally, the user is able to break out of Genjutsu, using Genjutsu release technique one rank lower than what he would normally be required to. Lastly, the user gains access to snake anatomy and other physical feats granted by Sage mode.
Note: Usable twice per battle . Must wait 2 turns before using this technique again. Perfect Sages can use either perfect or imperfect form thrice with a delay of 1 turn between modes.
Note: Imperfect Sages can convert a maximum of 30% of their total chakra reserve. Perfect Sages can convert a maximum of 40% of their total chakra reserve.
(Hebi Kuchiyose: Sentaku-shu | Snake Summoning: Selective Species, Crotalinae: The Pitvipers (Reference)
Type: Supplementary/Defensive
Rank: D-S
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 10-40 (Depends on rank of summons)
Damage Points: N/A
Description:
The Crotalinae are a selective species of snake summonings which were bred and assigned only to the greater of the snake contract signers. These species of Snake summonings specifically had evolved over time to have harder, more adaptable scales covering their body and an enhanced pit organ that naturally heightened their abilities to sense. This heightened sensing used through the pit organ seemingly was developed not only for predatory reasons but also for defensive measures against other predators. The sensing was exactly like the basics of any other snake, just taken to a higher level. Meaning they could sense minute vibrations up to a certain distance around them and even had an infrared optic map of the world before them. Typically, most snakes of the Crotalinae subfamily had natural infrared maps overlaid through their optic tectum, but with the Selective species being bred into existence it was heightened to the point of even being able to put this to use in the pitch black and in the darkest of times. The facial pit actually visualizes thermal radiation using the same optical principles as a pinhole camera, wherein the location of a source of thermal radiation/heat is determined by the location of the radiation on the membrane of the heat pit. The resolution on the infrared mapping through the heat pits has a very high resolution, which in turn allows the snakes to sense different levels of heat and cooler areas in extreme detail. Besides the sensing, their scales made for a greater form of defense, allowing them to survive harsher conditions and more damage than an average snake summoning. Not only were the scales on Crotalinae found to be more thicker and tougher than average, but they also held a passive ability to blend in with their environment by changing colors and becoming camouflaged. This coupled with their sensing made them very dangerous predators that were even able to escape other predator's perception if they didn't have some higher form of tracking or sensing.

Note: Must be posted within the bio or in the beginning of a fight.

Note: The Crotalinae Species can be summoned as generic snakes like the ones summoned in techniques such as: Summoning Technique: Giant Snakes, Summoning Technique: Three Headed Snakes, or Just the normal generic summoning technique, though instead of being normal snakes, they'd be of the Crotalinae subfamily. They won't take the place of those techniques, instead the user uses the generic summoning technique to summon Crotalinae, having to post this technique along with it but not costing an extra move.

Note: The sensing of minute vibrations and infrared mapping spans as far as an 100m radius, with larger snakes being able to sense the furthest due to their larger pit organs. Snakes under 40m in length can only sense up to 50m whole anything bigger can sense up to the maximum reach.

Note: The evolved scales allow the Crotalinae Species to take up to 20 more damage than average snake summonings of their rank. This is due to the thickness and tougher nature of the scaling covering the Crotalinae.
1200 - 30(GOA) - 15(BOC) - 5 (Cretin) = 1150 * 2 = 2300 with 10% = 230 - 10 (GOA) - 5(BOC) = 215

Mission: Recall the history of the world (C rank)

He strolled across the great corrupted ocean, others would fall here and burn away in the mothers embrace, but to him it was a loving embrace, the sea of life welcomed him as he moved across it. Seeping into him the genetic memories of the ocean blurred his mind, he could see flashes as he moved through it, like some of the memories were trying to force to the front of his mind, competing for dominance like rabid dogs fighting over prey.
The flashes began to formulate in to something cohesive, he saw a tanned man, young, wealthy probably given his attire, he was charging at him again and again, rage was all that he felt, the man had a longsword and a shield, but those born of the mother had no need for such human weapons, he tore at the steel with his bare hands, his powerful fists dented the shield like a blacksmiths hammer, raining blows down upon his foe he ignored all the damage he received in retort, blinded by the seas power to heal him. The shield was buckling under the sheer force and the man who held it was cornered, suddenly the memory shifted, a mental pain shot through Lucifer. The memory shifted, he was kneeling before the man, tears welled in his eyes.

He was a failure, a voice said in Lucifer’s mind, it sounded like his own voice but distorted, it’s voice was a herald to the return of some memories of his own, his name was Lucifer, the memory he had just seen however was not his own, it was a collection of memories present in the sea of life. His own memories were in there somewhere, but they didn’t matter truly anymore, he was a vessel for the will of something greater, the person he was had died in that ocean but would rose to the surface was greater.

Another memory flashed to the forefront, this time it was jealousy he felt, more than any other emotion it was a burning and bitter feeling that seemed to make the bile in his stomach rise, Lucifer almost choked, how could humans be so spiteful so petulant, this one he was a failure too. His anger and jealousy overwhelmed his devotion to the mother and for all his power he failed just like before, the source of his jealousy swam in Lucifer’s eyes, another man with tanned skin adorned in jewellery, a name rolled off Lucifer’s tongue.

“ Rehoboam” The name meant little to Lucifer, but that name that was the source of the jealousy this memory felt, these memories were so prevalent but they seemed meaningless, no Lucifer refused to believe that, the mother would not present him with useless information, these memories must hold meaning. Was she trying to show him how astray the humans had become, she had given them life, but the powers they wield, they were not borne of life?
Chakra, that was not a gift of the mother, that was something the humans had greedily seized for themselves, from life not born of the mother, these powers were wrong and like all power it had corrupted those who held it to the point of no return, that was what the mother was trying to show him, he was sure of it.

Lucifer moved with a purpose, unlike before, his slow steps became swifter he was husbanding his power, tensing himself with his newfound purpose, these people would return to what the mother intended, but they would not give up chakra willingly. That was fine, they didn’t understand what was best for them, but he would carry them to the truth and the mothers grace. Tiamat’s will was his own now and while the blurred memories kept him confused, this one goal remained cohesive above all else, serve the will of Tiamat.

Arriving

Their ship arrives in the Hokubu Ocean, its now trademark black waters slowly waxing and waning around the ship as trudged through the ocean. They continue onward, wary of staying too long in the contaminated sea.

Stepping once more across the water, Lucifer felt invigorated both in mind and body, finally he had found a lead to follow and a purpose. Taking the strange relic he had received from one of the humans he admired it's faint glow, he had a feeling he needed to keep this safe. Tucking it in to his pants he kept it concealed and safe in the sash as he continued his journey to find more humans.

Additionally, this post contains a mission, using the following Custom Story Element:

Plunge into the Hokubu, and emerge unaffected. (5)

Summary: Seeking a legendary Forge, stated to be found within the Region of Tobusekai, Muramasa, having spent considerable time and effort on the mainland looking for it to no avail, reasons it could have been located on a volcanic island off the coast of Tobusekai itself, and long since reclaimed by the ocean, as no such island has ever been discovered. As such, his only recourse is to confirm his suspicions by delving into the depths of the corrupted depths. However, since Tiamat's emergence, the waters have been left almost wholly undisturbed. Who knows what his interference in those murky depths might awaken...? Drackos. The answer is Drackos, that's who.

Standing on silent shores at the edge of the Hokubu ocean, Muramasa watched as the mud-like waves crept up on to the Land of Tobusekai, rolling up on to land like a hand clawing out at the world itself. To touch these waters... Muramasa already knew. Rumors were spread far and wide that any who touched them were subjected to horrific changes, and underwent a complete and total paradigm shift, their lives given willingly to Tiamat, in all her glory, willingly. Muramasa would not become one of the afflicted masses, if he could help it. As he stared out over the vast horizon, he recalled faint memories of frantically sprinting across azure waves, rushing to perform his duty as a Guardian of the World. Some Hero of Justice that man turned out to be... He couldn't even save one little girl... Unable to stand idle any longer, he drew a blade forth from it's sheath resting at his side, and pressed his thumb down upon the partially exposed blade, cutting his thumb ever so slightly. Drawing it across his hand, a tattoo appeared as Chakra entered the area, before he slammed it into the sand beneath his feet, Summoning forth a winged companion.

(Kuchiyose no Jutsu) - Summoning Technique
Rank: B
Type: Defense/Attack/Suplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description:
To summon the creature the ninja will wipe blood on his hand, perform the Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram handseals and then touch the ground or another object, where a sealing formula will appear. Though it appears that as long as significant pressure is placed against the blood in some form, the summon will be complete, most summoning uses use a solid surface, though in some cases it can even be done mid air. There can be variations to the summoning steps, some ninja like Temari will wipe blood on her fan, then by swinging the fan the animal is summoned. Other ninja like Orochimaru wipe the blood across a snake tattoo on their arm first, then touch the ground. Others will clap their hands directly like Nagato through the use of his Animal Path. The user must have signed the contract with the creature he wants to summon but the technique can be used to summon a generic creature of that contract (B-Rank) which will have no special traits or abilities beyond those normal to the rest of the animals in the contract. The animal is always summoned on the mark that appears upon slamming the users hand or, if not the case, always in short range of the user.

While at first the beast was confused, chirping inquisitively, upon witnessing Muramasa, a trill was given to it's voice, a blatant indicator of joy. It had been quite some time indeed.

"It's nice to see you too, 'Griff."

Petting the Griffon's head, the Mythical Beast in turn pushing hard back into his palm, Muramasa climbed aboard Griff's back, and gave a slight kick, directing the Griffin to fly straight over the Hokubu. While there was always the chance he could attempt walking, or running on those sullied waves, due to it not technically being water, he could just as easily plunge straight in. There werr other ideas, like trying to maintain a foothold. Perhaps burning it, as Mud was prone to hardening, given time, and the required temperature. But the vast scope of the ocean, and once again, the potentially unique composition of the mud itself, made that too risky. No. He best chance at achieving his intended goal was to start from above, and look for the most likely place an island would have once been. Even as high as Griff was climbing, there were no islands in sight. Then again, the earthen color of the mud made it harder to see even small rock formations jutting out of the ocean, so an island could very well be hidden amongst the vastness of this crimson sea...

Several hours later...

Hours into searching for any signs that an island may have existed within the ocean were utterly fruitless. Besides the sheer scope of the area they were searching, the corrupted waters obfuscating any suboceanic indicators, such as topographical features that could be seen from above, and the fact he was working off sheer speculation, and hypothesis, Muramasa was growing more and more frustrated. Letting out a frustrated sigh, and throwing his head back in exhaustion, Griff suddenly jolted to lief, and let out a piercing screech. Immediately looking at Griff's face, he saw a look of confusion, and a frantic gaze, the beasts eyes seemingly darting from one wave to another, as though he could have sworn he just saw something. Muramasa was inclined to believe the beast, as Griffins were known for their tremendous sight. Was there someone, or more likely, something in the ocean? Looking from one rocking wave to another, Muramasa saw nothing. Even his eyes, honed by years of tending a forge, and reinforced with archery lessons from a young age, was able to see anything. Letting all focus drop from his eyes, Muramasa then immediately snapped his head to the right. He could have sworn he just... Giving another slight nudge, and pointing in the direction off to the right, Muramasa kept a keen focus on the exact spot he saw it. There was an island, no doubt about it. Corner of his eye, on the fringes of his perception, yet seemingly, as soon as he shifted attention on to it, it vanished. Was it a trick of the mind? Was it exhaustion of being out this long, with no rest, constantly keeping their eyes trained on everything before them? Was it simply because this place was now cursed? Perhaps all of the above. He saw what he wanted to see... Yeah. That's it. Looking back to the shores of Tobusekai in the distance, they had seemingly covered a lot of ground close to the coast. Muramasa and Griffin had traveled as far as the Strand of the Ancients. If there was no island by now, it was highly unlikely they'd find one any further. Seeing the futility in the search for an island off the coast any further, though he was most certainly afraid, Muramasa reasoned he would go back to Plan A...

"Not the worst time of the year to go for a dip I suppose...
Then again. I don't think there's a 'best time' anymore..."

Directing Griff back towards the center of the Hokubu, Muramasa prepared himself, physically and mentally, for what he was about to attempt. "Suicide" was a good word for it, just like Musashi said... As they arrived at what he presumed to be the center of the Hokubu, or near enough, Muramasa told Griff to head home as soon as he leapt. He couldn't follow him where he was going. And if the rumors were to be believed, sadly, it may not be the last time they'd see each other, though next time, things, and he, would be far different. A low, grumbling, concerned cry fell from the beasts beak, but no matter how sad or concerned Griff appeared, this was something Muramasa felt he needed to do. This wasn't just about some Forge. No. This was to prove to himself he wasn't afraid, or incapable of action, when Deities and Cults and Death and the end of all things were concerned. This was about redemption, not to the world, but himself.

As he stood up upon the back of the mythical beast, he gave Griff one last pat, then leapt into the unknown.

The rush of wind billowing past him. The thrill that came from the fall, and fear from the landing. The thought of losing his mind to some omnipotent deity. None of these things meant anything in the grand scheme of things, but to Muramasa? For the next 30 seconds, they were his entire life, as all else fell away. And he couldn't help but smile. One never feels more alive than the thought that that life might very well come to an end. As he fell ever closer to the Hokubu's waves, Muramasa gathered unique, vibrating Chakra throughout his entire body. Though he didn't have it down to an exact science, being but a mere swordsmith, he knew that all things carried a specific frequency, and that by vibrating one's body at that same frequency, the two targets, himself, and the object of his attention, the Hokubu's Mud-like composition, would essentially "pass through" one another. It was most certainly a gamble, not least of which because this meant, even if he were successful, he still had his landing to contend with, but one issue at a time...

(Ototon: Shinsei no Asgard) - Sound Release: Asgardian Divinity
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: 40
Damage: N/A
Description: The user will release their Ototon Chakra throughout their body to vibrate their body at the same frequency as an object or technique. They will appear to flicker at an exceedingly fast rate, matching the vibrations of the targeted element or material. This will allow the targeted entity to move through them or for them to move through it without taking damage. As there is totally no interaction between the user and the entity, this will allow them to phase through techniques regardless of it's damage. This will work regardless of it's properties or phase, working equally on solid, liquid, gaseous, energy and other states of matter. It should be noted that the user can still move and interact with things as normal barring the material in question (e.g. steel), allowing them to run, wield weapons and fight while this is active. However they should take care when using this technique, as if the floor is composed of the same material, they will phase through it and fall perpetually.

Note: Lasts one turn
Note: Can only be used four times per battle
Note: No S- Rank or above Sound in the next turn
Note: Only works on S-Ranks of equal or lesser Chakra

As the waves of Mud were close enough to lap out and ensnare him, Muramasa closed his eyes, and instinctively tensed himself for the plunge, yet it never came. As hoped, though honestly not expected, he passed straight through the Sea of Life, and was completely engulfed by it. One factor he hadn't considered was the viscosity of the Hokubu, and how visibility was absolutely zero. Passing through something that had physical presence, he should have taken this into account, though it was of minor concern. Muramasa's plan worked. He could safely traverse the depths of the Hokubu!! Taking this unforeseen setback into consideration, Muramasa gathered more Sound Chakra, this time into a technique to give him a semblance of visibility. Gathering it within his ears, then by releasing sonar pulses out into the ocean, or more specifically the space the ocean would be occupying were he not barrelling through it at high speeds. It wasn't absolute, but he could "see", and that's all he truly needed.

(Ototon: Naiteki Ne no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Inner Sonar Skill
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 10 (-1 per turn)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will enhance their hearing by infusing his ears with sound chakra. Then, by utilizing chakra and enfacing his lungs, the user will be able to control the frequency and intensity of the sound emitted from his simple breathing. This low frequency, inaudible sound is passively emitted and has no effect other than emerging from him and bouncing off of objects. Using the enhanced hearing, the user is able to know where everything is around them, effectively creating a sonar effect through the rebound and reflection of sound waves. The hearing and the sonar effect is precise enough so that one can effectively use it to substitute one's vision in battle if needed. Despite being very effective, specially if the user has any of his other senses hindered, it also leaves the user vulnerable to sound genjutsu or sound attacks which will be much more drastic in its effects.
Note: Lasts 6 turns.

What he saw was... Incomprehensible... There were no words in any language, known or unknown to explain exactly what he was witnessing, though he would attempt to do it justice. Countless shapes were swimming through the "waters" of the Hokubu as though it were still water, and yet these were not fish. They were monsters. Mutations as a result of life that deviated from Her will coming into contact with it, completely changing them biologically to fit Her twisted design. Some were small, small being relative. They dwarfed the average human. He meant small compared to THAT. At the heart of the Hokubu, though he could not "see" it, that was exactly it. There was nothing. Not a lack of anything within the depths of the Hokubu. That "nothing" was in fact everything that wasn't a monster... No. There was nothing. A complete lack of anything. No mud. No monsters. Not even space itself. Being a Surgebinder of some skill, Muramasa was familiar with the sensation that came with slipping through the veil of Reality, and into another dimension. But in that "other dimension", the Throne, there was something. What lay before him was a complete and total lack of anything. Reality bled like a wound had been dealt to it, and this was what was seeping through. A void of nothingness. And within that void? Unintelligible noises that crept from the tear itself. Though just a tear in relation to these titanic monsters all around him, it's size was immeasurable to Muramasa. Not only was he reaching a depth that threatened to crush him, he was completely out of his depth in general. Wide eyed, and mouth agape, what lay before him was not of Tiamat's design. She was but a mere woman in comparison to the scope of this hole in space-time, and what his improvised sight could pick up. Fearing for his life should he linger any longer, and knowing his "Divinity" technique wasn't the longest-lasting tool in his repertoire, thus would eventually leave him at the mercy of the cruel, uncaring depths of this corrupting ocean, he had no option left but to leave. Immediately. Gathering Prana throughout his body, he attempted to escape via the Throne, but no matter how hard he tried, the unique, ethereal energy within him would not respond. Was this due to interference from the "rift"? Was it because he'd been cut off from the Throne itself, due to his mysterious disappearance, or far more likely, his not returning to the Throne this past year? Could Prana fade away like that? It was, after all, an energy that itself maintained time through stasis. Questions for another time. Growing nearer to the tear in the fabric of reality he was barreling towards, Muramasa initiated the only other means of escape he had from the Hokubu.

Gathering a large quantity of Chakra throughout his body, Muramasa used the naturally free-flowing sensation he was experiencing through falling through the "air" around him resisting his fall, and utilized it to give birth to wind within himself. With no time to spare, he forced as much air from his body that it would allow, though he first had to break his fall. He was, after all, free-falling through an ocean at terminal velocity. He couldn't simply switch gears, and change directions. Pushing against acceleration first, then gravity after, he forced his way back to the surface of the Hokubu. He needed to escape, to tell the world what lay in the depths beneath the Hokubu... That Tiamat was no longer a concern. Sadly his attempts at escape gave the world around him an indicator of his presence. While he was silently falling through the Hokubu, nothing took note of his existence. He did not disturb the waters as he glided through like a knife through warm butter. The wind coming from his limbs however, they were not subject to Asgardian Divinity. They may have "come" from him, but they were not him, and thus, disturbed the waters. Like sharks smelling blood in the water, Muramasa's fear drew them straight to him...

(Nintaijutsu: Ritomasu Fisuto) Ninja Body Art: Litmus Fist
Type: Supplementary/ Offensive
Rank: A-Rank
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 30 (Plus up to an additional 30 Chakra each turn)
Damage: 60
Description: Developed as a form of Taijutsu supplement, Litmus Fist carries on the concepts of it's parent technique, Litmus Finger, into new fields of use on a much larger, more focused scale. Where the parent technique was focused on creativity and speed through lack of any Hand Seals, this technique is solely focused on collaboration with almost any form or stance of Taijutsu in close quarters combat, especially Free-Form Taijutsu. The user begins by gathering a large amount of Chakra and distributing it equally throughout their body. Once this is done, the user then performs Taijutsu actions, motions, movements, etc, releasing the gathered Chakra in conjunction with them. Just like with the parent technique, these Taijutsu actions and motions are physically representative of the nature of an Element (An example of this would be using friction to perform Fire Release, or fluid motions for Water Release, etc.), which cause the Chakra to take on the properties of, and change into that Element. From there, the user applies Shape Manipulation and the same level of creative freedom from the parent technique to perform various kinds of Ninjutsu enhanced Taijutsu actions, either creating the Element they wish to use from their own Chakra, or using their Chakra to manipulate existing sources, like a nearby source of Water, or the ground beneath their feet, however, any and all offensive actions involving an existing source must originate from within Short Range of the user, same with Elements created by the user. Additionally, the user is able to utilize all canon forms/ states for the Elements they perform, for example, if they use Fire Release they could use ash, or flammable mist, however, the state or form of any attack performed via this technique cannot be changed once released, as the Chakra has already left the body, and been given form.

The user can split the Chakra Pool from this Jutsu into as many attacks they wish to perform, within reason, so the user can perform 1 A-Rank, or 2 B-Rank, etc, or even a combination of different ranked attacks, like 1 B-Rank and 2 C-Rank, etc. However with each division of the Chakra used, so too does each individual action logically lose power, although, this drawback is arguably the Jutsu's best quality, due to fact that the Nature of the users Chakra is only changed when released in conjunction with Taijutsu actions. This allows the user to swiftly and accurately shift between multiple Elements, performing extremely unique combinations of Elements, easily creating their own "style", simply by performing a series of basic actions and combing the Elements those actions unleash. Additionally, at the start of each turn for the duration of this technique the user can expend Chakra equivalent to the amount of Chakra utilized up until that point, restoring the Chakra they have for this technique back up to it's max. Although this action can easily end up eating through the users Chakra reserves, this ensures they can maintain the Jutsu for it's maximum turn limit, receiving the most from this Jutsu in return for the high cost required to maintain it. Finally, while the Chakra for this technique is gathered and prepared throughout the user's body, as it is yet to be molded, repurposed and released into an actual attack, the user can perform other Jutsu whilst this one is active, without consuming the Chakra pool gathered for this technique, however, this cannot be done simultaneously while the user is releasing an attack from this technique, as they are logically using their Chakra to shape that attack and cannot divert neither their attention, nor Chakra flow between multiple techniques.

Note: The user can keep this technique active for a max of 4 turns, and must wait 2 turns after it's deactivation before they can use it again. If the user does not use the full amount of Chakra gathered for this technique by the end of the turn limit, they lose the remaining Chakra. Finally, this Jutsu can be used a max of 3 times per battle.
Note: Can only be taught by Iᴍᴘᴇяғᴇᴄᴛ, and only to those who have learned "(Ninpō: Ritomasu Fingā) Ninja Art: Litmus Finger".

One after another they kept coming. Clawing, swiping, clamping their jaws, all attempting the same thing. Get whatever this thing is. That was all he could think as Muramasa frantically dodged everything thrown at him. He couldn't "see" the teeth tearing out at the ocean, nor could he rely on his "eyes" to track the mutated limbs that clawed out in his general direction. One after another, it was a feeding frenzy, and he was fighting against both animal instincts, and time. Using his winds to flow through his "enemies" like a leaf through trees, floating on the breeze. He wanted to enter his mental state, the one he'd learned upon reading the Go Rin no Sho, and all but guarantee his evasion of these monsters, but he knew, relying on this instinct would only result in him running out his clock, and drowning in the depths of the Hokubu. That was not the answer...

"Instinct is a lie, told by a fearful body, hoping to be wrong."

Instead, he kept up his haphazard, sloppy and dangerous approach at escape, for there was another teaching he could adhere to...

"Let go your earthly tether. Enter the void. Empty and become wind..."

While the wording was especially ironic in this case, as entering the void was exactly what he was attempting not to do, both physically and spiritually. Escaping the literal void at the depths of the Hokubu, and not wishing to escape to the mental void of clarity he relied upon in combat, he let go his earthly tether. Muramasa emptied, and became wind... For what felt like an eternity, he avoided everything he could, all while keeping his destination, the surface of the Hokubu, square in his mind. If he could just make it to the surface, he could then worry about escaping back to land. Back and forth, gliding between twisted corruptions of life, Muramasa's grace was invisible to all, yet it was undeniable all the same. From evading the gaping maw of one oceanic monster, to using his hands to glide across the surface of another, Muramasa never stopped. Never gave up. And when all hope seemed lost, when he thought he'd never make it... He emerged forth from the Hokubu. He did not make an impact whatsoever on the surface of the sanguine sea. No water dripping from his body, no ripples in the surface of the ocean, though it would not remain as such for very long. Muramasa kept climbing, for he knew what was coming next... As he continued to climb, higher and higher, abruptly a massive form broke through the boundary of the sea, like a whale emerging from the ocean to breathe. It's scale was, as he had seen within the ocean itself, gargantuan. Attempting to grasp Muramasa, knowing something had disturbed the waters below, it made a last ditch effort to ensnare whatever morsel was responsible. Higher and higher he climbed, and higher and higher this creature breached the ocean, threatening to swallow him whole. As the beast reached it's apex, and began to fall to it's side, threatening to expel a tidal wave in all directions, Muramasa too felt his strength wane and waver, his winds becoming weaker with every passing second. Believing himself far enough away from the torrent of spacial energy, he attempted to flee to the Throne once again, but nothing... He was truly out of options. As the last ember of hope seemed to fade out, a shrill cry made its presence known. Muramasa had never been so happy for someone to defy his orders... Griff had initiated a dive-bomb straight for Muramasa, despite knowing the danger of what would happen should he make contact with the Hokubu's murky moisture. Angry his friend disobeyed an order to return, yet overjoyed to see a way out, he put everything behind these last dozen feet. Grabbing Hippogriff by the scruff of the neck, and carelessly throwing himself on to the animal's back, as Griff gave out a cry of pain, Muramasa could only apologize in expletives as the pair immediately began soaring away from the behemoth threatening to engulf the Griffin, and eventually Muramasa himself.

While a close call, Muramasa looked back to see that, despite the monstrosity's size, the weight and composition of the Hokubu was, naturally, much heavier than simple water, reducing the "splash zone" to considerably smaller than that either were expecting. And while the danger of being devoured was done, in the grand scheme of things, the danger hadn't even begun to make its presence known... Muramasa had to get the word out. He just had to... The world depended on it. As the pair flew back towards the shores of Tobusekai, Muramasa couldn't help but fear what that hole in reality was, and meant. Worst still were the incomprehensible noises that apparently came from that nothingness.

End of mission.
