Given the things we know the traitor revealed to the enemy and the timeline of events Kanjuro is the one that makes most sense. So let me go over a few points.

1-Jack learned 2 things from the traitor – how to get to Zou and the fact that Raizo was there, back when this was revealed most people suspected that a mink was a traitor, but Kanjuro could have provided them with this information as well. The samurai had a way of getting to Zou (probably Inuarashi or Nekomamushi’s Vivre Card), and Kanjuro knew that Raizo ended up there. Add to this the fact that his ability would enable him to send messages (and the Vivre Card) using his painted creatures.

2-After he was “captured” by Doflamingo’s men he spent the next few weeks just sitting in a cell, he wasn’t sent back to Kaido or anything? Kaido sent an army led by one of his top men to get Raizo but he just let Joker hold on to Kanjuro?
[Kanjuro could be a deep spy like Apoo once was with the Kid and Hawkins alliance.]

3-The first time the traitor revealed the Alliance’s plans in Wano it could have been anyone, but the second time among the information revealed was the fact that Hiyori is alive and in Ringo, not many people are privileged to that information – Zoro, Kawamatsu, Kin’emon, Raizo, Kikunojo, Inuarashi, Momonosuke, Tenguyama, Kanjuro and some other Straw Hats (some other characters may have learned it off screen but that is not relevant). Through the process of elimination and considering the points 1 and 2, Kanjuro stands out as the most suspicious.

In chapter 920 we have the ultimate proof that Kanjuro is the traitor.

In the panel showing Kinemon & co. landing in Wano 20 years later, we can see two small and horrible birds flying above them. Did Kanjuro draw them? Were they sending a message to Orochi/Kaido?

Idk something about it still doesn't make sense.

He said "Since, I was a kid, ever since I lost my heart/emotions, " Is that supposed to be a reference to SMILE? Because he doesn't act like a SMILE victim. Then he says "I experienced joy and sorrow together with you all on a daily basis" so how can he experience joy and sorrow if he lost his heart/emotions?

Is he a Kurozumi? Why didn't the witch lady go to him over Orochi?

Although I did notice birds like the ones mentioned in the thread while they were going to BM's territory also, maybe on the way to Wano to tip off Orochi.

Eating a SMILE doesn't kill your emotions and he most likely wouldn't have been able to pull of his alter ego if he was perpetually smiling. Also we see Orochi giving him his DF and I don't think it's possible to eat a real DF and a SMILE.

I interpreted this chapter as that he lost all his emotions when his parents got killed on stage and that Kanjuro was a 'role' he played. Kanjuro Kurozumi is emotionless, but Kanjuro the Retainer is not and he has been playing this persona ever since Orochi requested it of him 100% of the time, minus the leaking of information. This chapter was the first time he completely broke with (and pretty much killed) his alter ego by admitting he's the spy and kidnapping Momo.

There's a subtle nuance between someone pretending to be someone else and completely becoming someone else. He said it himself: there would have been no greater joy if he died alongside them without anyone ever finding out he was the spy. He would have played out his role even if it killed him.

That is absolutely insane and is rather reminiscent of a character from a Greek tragedy.

Doesn't it? Isn't that what happened to Killer and that one town? But fair point about his actual DF completely slipped my mind about eating both.

Yeah that makes more sense especially now the chapters out too.

They didn't loose their emotions, it just has become exceedingly hard to show them considering they have a permanent smile on their faces.
