I started watching the boruto anime again (from 71) and forgot how cool it is. I lile leaving a bit to catcj up on and marathon on days off

As much as i enjoy it, its got a completely different vibe to naruto with its story. I just wonder how its gonna progress. Like the rift between naruto and sasuke was a great plot driver, but in boruto, there isnt really a massive overarching plot if that makes sense? Like sure theres the whole thing about boruto wanting to be better than his father, and all that, but its similar to naruto wanting to be accepted by the village. Its an element but not a plot.
So far they have had great stories with the chunin exams, and the trip to hidden mist, but yeah feels lile theres no over arching plot so far. I guess we could count boruto finding out what his jogan is, but its been super slow so far in regards to that.
Over all im enjoying it though.

Mmmmm youre semi right, there is the 'threat' of the otsutsuki, but its like not a persistent threat like orochimaru or akatsuki was in part 1 and 2. Each bad guy so far hasnt been connected at all, and its been about developing the relationships between the characters instead. And thats not a bad thing, i guess its a different approach than the other series was.
Im just curious as to where they will go with it. I spose as well its hard to have a big bad guy going harder than Kaguya with Naruto and Sasuke still around...

So the Otsotsukis are still a thing.. i miss the Orochimaru villian development in Naruto. Akatsuki where just amazing, a phantom troupe in the Narutoverse.
