Well, you should understand. I'd at worst mark myself next night if I got my reads right, that's why I always like to keep it to myself until it's solidified and I push for the whoever I read scum like he won't survive the day. Although asking for reads from your suspects before you call them out could be a great leading point to the rest of the scum in case he's flipped scum, so I understand your perspective as town, if that's what you're coming from.

So i'll enlighten you.

I have a reason to think it's less likely that the scum's target has been protected from the scum. My guess is that the scum has been role-blocked by someone.

Well, it's a miracle since not only the scum action has been failed, but also the Serial Killer's, and I've just noticed it was a full moon night, that means other town-killing roles such as the werewolf should've been active last night too - if my memory about the full-moon night is intact, but i perhaps i need to ask the host about it -

I'm sure there is some information to be shared this day, without backfiring at the town.

That's true. Is there a possibility that there is no Serial killer at all?

Maybe the serial killer was jailed, and the mafia targeted the serial killer, but he was protected since he was jailed(that'd explain why nothing happened overnight).
