You're pretty close, but now, let me give you my take on it:

~The Rules~
The rules in the fight can all together decide how fun its going to be. It's pretty much a given that it's going to be Rei's rules but then the rest can change the fate of a fight. So lets go into the details a section at a time.

~The Terrain~
This is one of the most important factors in the entire fight which can make such a difference. It really upsets me to see some of you just say "Grassy Field", is that creative? No. It just sounds like you're getting ready to play jutsu tenis. The reason i say this is because in a realistic fight you're be moving around and using the terrain to your advantage like in any fight we ever see, i'll give you some example:

The Valley of the end: This is a classic terrain, used so many times, but why? Well to start off with its like the number one place to fight due to the history behind it. So you always start on one of the heads, it's just tradition but with this you have a water source which is great for any water users. Next you have the trees around you, you can run into these to hide, or just use for your general advantage. So like you use wind stream to blow yourself out of the way of an attack, hide in the trees to observe your opponent and make a plan. If it's two of you who want a creative fight it really helps to do stuff like that to make a story. Next you've got the cliff, you can just jump off down into the water or trees below to escape an attack or to create some distance. It all comes together to make for a more interesting fight.

Amegakure: Same as above, look at the Jiraiya pein fight. You're in close quarters but can use the piping to escape, create a bit more of a story, and generally feel like you're in the Naruto verse.


Its called RP - Role Playing. How better to get into the roll then throw yourself into some terrain in the Narutoverse. I personally have the most fun by being my bio, getting into character then thinking how they would counter an attack in that situation, and if i have a nice familiar peice of terrain with that it really helps my creativity and the flow of the battle.

~Customs/Restrictions~
So the main rule in most fights, the restrictions. A popular misconception is the use of customs being a power increase. This can be the case but for me its not the main reason. As many of you know i had Natsu for a long time now, a custom bio that i adapted from fairy tail for the rp. So i made a bunch of customs to go with him to help me stay in character. Mostly B ranks, but it made for more fun fights cause with customs i could fight as my bio would. So Natsu uses fire and lightning, but because i have a B rank fire custom that releases fire from my feet as a jet, i can avoid a large water jutsu. Silly things like that go a long way.

Another restriction, though it may sound stupid now, would be to limit the elements or something you could use. This will force you to really think and get creative in tight situations. But what if you lose? Does that really matter? You lose a battle but have fun doing so. I'd say its worth it.



~You're Character!
As i have noted above, it makes a huge difference of what bio you use to how the fight will go. Some of you may think its the most OP bio that wins, but is that really the case? Pein vs Jiraiya, took one toad song to take out 3 paths, if all 6 had been there, who knows. Same in the Rp. For me, the point of RP is to be your character and learn to get out of any situation with that character. If you can't, its like a game of chess, no escape with your bio, its checkmate. But i can't stress enough that winning isn't everything. Try and fight as your bio would like you have to in tests and see how much fun it can be. If this isn't for you i understand but i'm sure trying to be creative with what your bio can use will be more fun that Jutsu tenis.

So how to get things flowing. You've set the scene with you're amazing terrain or in the Ninja world that's been set for you. You've chosen your character so you know why you're going to fight and have your rules to know your limits. Next is how to kick start it. Simples, run in using 3 F ranks.... wait, no that's not right. No fight ever started that way in the manga so why should any in the rp. Let the fight start simple and build up. Most fights i start with Taijutsu, but that's because i love tai. Other fights i start with the use of weapons. Some examples, throwing kunai/shuriken, using wires with weapons, smoke bombs, flash bombs, explosive tags. Its all basic stuff but it goes a long way to starting small and an epic climax of like a clash of two elemental rasegans or something. Thats all up to you. But now lets take this a step further.



So let me set the scene: You're a random Anbu ninja bio, against any Iwa ninja. You're in Konoha woods, so you have trees to use. For my first move i drop a smoke bomb so they lose sight of me, and through the smoke throw 2 kunai with explosive tags. In the smoke i make a clone, one runs out to attack my opponent from in the smoke, the other hides behind the tree using it as cover waiting for a chance to strike.


You've attacked with a weapon, set a trick for the opponent, used basics and been creative using the terrain it all adds up to a win.

Alrighty, no worries.

So i'm gonna start out with what we call "free form", it's basically a way of fighting that doesn't use jutsu. You throw weapons and such or use punches or kicks. It's basically your bog standard ninja way of fighting. Free form actions such as jumping or rolling, can't be used to avoid jutsu based attacks, but you can use it to counter other free form attacks. An example of this would be:

1. I throw two kunai at you (free form)

2. You use your sword you hit the both of them away (also free form)

If i'd used a jutsu to infuse the kunai with an element for example, you couldn't just hit them away like that, you'd need to use a jutsu.

So here goes, i'll start things off




Sin stood on the bridge facing the strange looking individual about 10 meters away from himself. A curious looking fellow, though he was unmoving. This got Sin excited. Being an uchiha he had it in him that he loved to fight and well, now was a time for him to play. A grin spread across his face from under his hood. Sin would then brace himself before sprinting forwards with a burst of speed towards his opponent. As he reached him, he would drop down with his right leg out going forwards, sliding along the ground performing what would look like a slide tackle in soccer, taking your left leg from under you, causing you to fall forwards face first into the ground.

As Sin passed under you, he brought his right leg around, to turn his body around to face you while still in a low crouching position to see how you'd react.

1. You don't actually have to let me take your leg from under you. You could of lifted your leg at the last second and then stomped on me and so on. Don't feel like you have to take the hit, remember ninja's dodge and block all the time as long as it's in a logical manor.

2. You jumped back. Which is fine, but did you need to. Even if you took the hit, you're falling down, what's your natural reaction telling you? You'd put your arms out to stop you hitting ground, from here, you could try and kick back out at me because you'd be in like a press up position etc. Adapt to the situation in a fluid motion.

3. You jumped back, that's still fine, but it leaves you open, keep trying to take control and put me on the defence. Throw a kunai or shuriken, you have lots, you a ninja, all of them do.

4. You "hit" me. How do you hit me? A punch? A kick? Which hand or leg did you use? Not only does it help me get a clearer idea of what's going on but it gives depth to the fight, detail is key.

For the purpose of this practice fight, i'm going to assume you punched me with you're right hand in the face.




As his opponent jumped back, Sin could tell he wasn't used to this and didn't expect that from him. It made this even more fun. He remained kneeling/crouching as the man rushed towards him. As he went to punch him in the face, the man would have to lean down as Sin was low, as the punch came, sin moved his head to his right, going to the inside of the punch while turning his body to face the inside of your arm. As he does, he grabs your wrist of your punching arm, with his left arm, while grabbing your upper arm with his right arm, using his twisting motion and pulling on your arm, do to a judo throw, using your momentum to throw you over him landing on your back, hard on the ground, knocking the wind out of you.

"Try not to rush in blind kid, it might cost you your life..."

As the opponent dodges the punch , and grabs Mikhail's right wrist but Mikhail had anticipated this move from him and raises his left leg to deliver a high kick to your left side of the abdomen. The impact of the attack sends you flying to the side of the bridge.

Also just while i think of it. There are two types of fights in the BA, official and unofficial fights.

Official fights meaning you can only use what you know. And your bio can only be in one official fight at a time. if you win an official fight you will get kumi and official fights can be used for rank ups too. This will also be the case where you collect DNA for edo tensei and such abilities, only official fights allow this.

Unofficial, basically don't count for anything, no limit on how many you can be in, and well you can bend the rules a bit more. So for now in this training battle i could say lets fight as though you can use A ranks aswell. Just don't go too wild.

If you're unsure on any of this ask, but you can refer to our training and you will see what ranks you can use and how much chakra you have, in your bio it says what elements and skills you chose also.

With the gap still short between them, he proceeds to infuse Chakra creating a half dome of lightning aimed at you. The lightning surge hits you head on and leaves you paralyzed for a few seconds.

Description: The user by use of a sword can use it as a rod to attract lightning currents that are channeled into the user from opponents attacks and by pointing the tip of the blade into the ground the user is then able to dispel the lightning charge nullifing the effects of paralysis. However this only works on free flowing lightning based techniques such as the Chidori current and not on focused lightning based techniques




I can count my chakra if you want but i've got like 3000.

Anyway, Nice first try. Your detail is getting better on the fighting side. Now show me more of your character in your moves. I created the bio for you and now i'm interested in who this guy is, how would he fight?

Are you gonna try using a couple of jutsu? Or basic weapons to try and trick me.

Description: The user by use of a sword can use it as a rod to attract lightning currents that are channeled into the user from opponents attacks and by pointing the tip of the blade into the ground the user is then able to dispel the lightning charge nullifing the effects of paralysis. However this only works on free flowing lightning based techniques such as the Chidori current and not on focused lightning based techniques

I'll assume your sword is in your right hand O_< Details.

As Sin kneels his sword tip in the ground he looked on at his opponent who draws his own sword in his right hand and bolts towards sin, it seemed it wanted to strike head on. Sin held his sword now at his side in his right hand as you shot towards him. As you go to strike with the handle of your sword, Sin would use the palm of his left hand, to strike your right hand with an open palm strike. What this would do is push your attack away from him and push your arm across to the left side of your body, causing your attack to miss.

Though unfortunately for you, at the same time, Sin would thrust his sword forwards within his right hand, going under your right army he had hit across your body, stabbing you through the gut while countering your strike.

(Hirateuchi) Slap

To kinda fall past the sword like that is a bit of a weird way to do it, but, you can actually do this with a jutsu

Now lets try some mid range fighting. Same field, you start mid range from me, i'll let you go first. You can still run at me or what ever you like.

As you drew and throw your five shuriken, i draw and throw five kunai with my right arm, deflecting them all off to the sides into the water below.


Come on, wheres the combos, wheres the thinking ahead. Nice details but very static, how are you going to take your skills to the next level?
