"We have to burn away the cancer that has infested the West since Hanguri collapsed. Our blood, our very name, is known for its fire and fury. Is it not rather practical to approach a mainland conquest with this...?" He motions toward Orys. "It would be better to approach the mainland with a reason: to bring order back to a lawless place; compare this to just arriving on their shores with our dragons, unleashing a devastating rampage to force them to bend the knee. While I may seek vengeance...it would be akin to hitting two birds with one stone. I get my revenge on the lawless bandits that wounded my brother, and our family takes its first steps to establishing our legacy." It was a rare moment of pragmatism from the aloof middle sibling.
Although she was wont to push and prod until she got her way Visenya knew her limits and simply gave a nod of agreement at her brother's suggestion. Then, removing her finger from Orys' new, now complete hand, gently bending some of the joints and feeling for flaws beneath the soft, pink skin. She looked back to Aegon with a satisfied expression and nodded again, content. "I approve of your restraint, little brother," she said with the faintest hint of a teasing smile. "And you can go knowing that Orys will be fine. All he needs now is rest. The servants will see to it that he gets it," she added with a strict look at the two maids, now fussing over the unconscious man. "I will get someone else to move him into bed. You have other matters to attend to."
Out of the corner of her eyes Visenya briefly inspected the wood of the fine trestle table Orys was laying on. It was still unstained by blood, thank the Gods...

Rhaenys awoke with a sleepy yawn, the morning sun already shining through her curtains casting a soft maroon tint over the room as the red silk hung from ornate iron drapes. She had rested well last night after a long thorough conversation with one of the soldiers about which sword was best for breaking armour. He was cute, thinking that he knew more about battle than her. There was none that could match her ferocity in battle. Except perhaps her Sister, or her Brother. As she dressed in formal red robes, walking down a spiral stone staircase she caught a glimpse of a few dragons flying outside, most likely her siblings pets and let out a whistful sigh. It had been too long since she had been flying (only 48 hours) but still too long.

Finally reaching the hall, the smell of cooked flesh, ale and burning logs blew into her face, her eyes widening with satisfaction. She indulged in many pleasures with food being one of them. Sitting down at the table, Visenya and Aegon weren't present, most likely off planning some battle strategy she thought to herself.

She was half way through a hunk of boar and loaf of bread when a small poof of smoke erupted behind her. Without even lifting her head from her food she said,

Who enters der dragun den between mouthfuls of food.

A small white slug with blue markings along its back lay before her, one of her summoning contract animals used for delivering messages.

Miss Rhaenys, I have a message from Mistress Kazumi she stammered.

Regurgitating out the scroll, Rhaenys picked it up and brushed it off before reading.

Dear Rhaenys,

I hope this message reaches you before the evil has been let loose, for I go now to fight it. The Ruins of Chungsu have become a hive of activity with ninja, walking dead and some strange creatures performing a ritual on a tomb within it's monastery. You were always a guiding light to me, even after I married my husband. Without you, we never would have started that clan, nor founded the village.
I leave everything in the clan, the village and all my possessions to you. I hope you can protect them and be there for them as much as I tried.
I hope your brother and sister also find time to try to make peace in this world, as we sorely need it.
You taught me what it meant to be a positive influence on people, how far you should be willing to go to protect and fight for your clan. I've learnt that peace is the noblest of aspirations, but sometimes you have to fight for it.

Yours always,
Kazuzmi Mishima,
Former head of the Mishima Zaibatsu

The entire world fell silent to Rhaenys, as if everything had stopped, all noise gone, the smell of the delicious food non existent, as Rhaenys stood in shock, her arms dropping to her side, almost dropping the parchment. Her childhood friend, who taught her how to fight, how to survive, in trouble and fighting for her life. Kazumi had left an entire clan to Rhaenys, now being the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Well that name was going to change, she want a Mishima organization. She would think on this later, but for now she had to tell Vissy and Aegon.

It had suddenly dawned on Rhaenys as she was searching for her siblings that it was Halloween. Was this mere coincidence that there's hordes of undead were roaming the land with it also being a spooky holiday? True that this holiday was based on the story of Cassander, but he never used zombies and undead to fight, it was his legendary ninjutsu and armies. Rhaenys would look further into this as she gathered information about these sightings. But for now, as she passed one of the servants, she gave orders to decorate the castle in such an appropriate manner to bring the holiday cheer to the castle. Pumpkin carvings in every room, candles lit at every hour, fake cobwebs and spiders stuck around the hallways. Before leaving, Rhaenys searched specifically for Visenya's chamber maid, and ordered her to put a extremely large spider under the covers of Visenya's bed. Chuckling to herself, she couldn't wait to see her reaction. Shame she would most likely be away during the prank.

Normally she would kiss your husband farewell before this call to adventure, however time was of the essence if Rhaenys was to find the source of this corruption of life. Taking a crew and boat from the docks, she sailed towards the mainland heading north. Before doing do, she left a note stuck to the table in the feasting hall.

My dearest Siblings,

I have received word that foul creatures have been plaguing these lands, during this coincidentally auspicious time of Hallow's End. I received a scroll from my dear childhood friend Kazumi who was investigating these disturbances and may already be lost. She gave me her clan, her lands and her title as Clan head, which will be brought in to our house, and fly under the banner of House Targaryon.

I head north to the Lightning Mountains where rumours among the servants have been strongest. Take care, I shall be back soon, and bring glory to our House.

Fire and Blood
Rhaenys

Coming from

As Daenerys approached the mainland, her chakra system was still strained from the attack she released so she slowed down her chakra use and deactivated her Rinnegan, allowing the crimson red eyes to reappear. As she lands, she notes the area; filled eith the bustling sounds of city life, the islands were populated with many factories and marketplaces to exchange goods. She would have dawdled more and looked around the land to see what all was around but Drogon had reached out to her, having continued flying south. Communicating mentally, she was informed of her dragon reaching the other members of their clan. Somehow they weren't in the actual base anymore. Nevertheless, it'll prove beneficial for them. Turning towards Chungsu, Daenerys leaves the landmark.

He nodded, showing appreciation for the effort she put forth in healing Orys. He was relieved to know that his closest friend would survive to see another day, and another conquest. But the lingering wariness still hung over his head - the enemies that had done this to him still lived on, breathing in the same air he did. It was unacceptable. He would take his leave to seek out answers.

This post encompasses a mission using the following storyboard elements:
- Perform administrative duties (1)
- Make all the necessary plans and arrangements for your Clan (4)

Visenya decides to make plans for the future.
________________________________________

After she had seen to her duties Visenya found herself at that same escritoire, reading and rereading her notes on succession, occasionally nodding in agreement. It had been a good exercise to put her thoughts onto paper. She really was satisfied with her concept of a law of succession, but it was only one part of the intricate web that was a state’s legal foundation. Thus, she picked up her pen, laid out a new sheet of paper and checked her light. Tonight she would write about the office of the head of House Targaryen; its privileges, obligations and duties, along with its role and position in the hierarchy of what would become their state apparatus. She briefly wetted the nib of her pen on her tongue and then wrote her first idea down in bold, underlined letters: Princeps, the foremost, the first in order. Beneath it she wrote, just like before, ‘Aegon I’ and drew a line from it to the names of herself and Rhaenys besides their husband’s. She knew that her sister’s role would be very different from her own, but both of them would have a part to play in the administration of the Targaryen’s sphere of influence.

Monarchism or republicanism was the first question that came to her mind. The Lady of Dragonstone did not doubt that her beloved husband would prefer the former, but it was Visenya’s intention to resist the allure of autocracy and despotism, although she did not consider them and absolutism one and the same. One-man rule could take many forms and she endeavored that theirs would stand the test of time and change, so if the title of king or emperor begat resistance from the populace then she would not hesitate to strike it from her papers. Responsibility and accountability would be the most important problems to consider as far as the Lady was concerned. It was just as important that the lower classes be able to enjoy some rights, tempered by responsibilities, as it was for the classes of premiers to enjoy the same.

Visenya began to scribble ideas of hers in neat bullet points. The title of the sovereign did not much matter, whether it was Archon, King, Emperor, or even Steward, it was the powers of the office that truly determined its nature. Whatever their title this Princeps would be the most powerful and distinguished officeholder in the state, but what would their powers be? They could not be unilateral when it came to decision-making; Visenya did not trust absolute rule even to herself, much less to her far-off descendants. A system of checks and balances had to be instated, maintained by a capable bureaucracy staffed meritocratically, and all of it had to be in alignment with the hereditary model of succession that she had envisaged for the Targaryens. The Lady frowned to herself. Too much power would risk an incompetent or unworthy officeholder, or perhaps one controlled by other factions, which simply would not do. Too little, however, was simply unacceptable, that much her brother had made abundantly clear to her. Visenya grimaced at the growing mess of papers on the desk; it was not as easy to mark the powers of the Princeps without first having considered the modality of the state apparatus at large.

‘To maintain the illusion of pluralism, while ensuring the reality of centralized power’, she wrote under one bullet point. As a well-read woman Visenya knew of democratism and was not entirely opposed to a few of its tenets, some honors could even be granted by lot or vote, but she was adamant that power should rest with the wealth of the nation; the Targaryens in particular. The head of their family should be able to exert influence on all branches of government, and yet still at least appear as if they are subject to them. His would not be a state of patricians, as had been the Freehold, but Visenya was practical enough to admit that it would benefit from many of the properties thereof. By her method of succession, and here she referred back to her earlier work, the office would be held for life, or passed voluntarily to the elected successor by its current holder. They would not enjoy diplomatic immunity, but should sit on the councils appointing judges and magistrates, or be able to appoint representatives to do so in their stead. Perhaps there should be no one office, but a collection of offices that added privileges and rights cumulatively? She considered it for a moment, and then struck the sentence. No, the office should carry weight by itself. It should have veto powers over the legislative and executive agenda, but it should be restricted somehow. Perhaps a supermajority, or something similar, could overrule the veto? If the powerful posts of the bureaucracy and administration were filled with loyal men this would ensure an efficient state apparatus, but even if not they would still need to unite against the family head to restrict their power. Yes, Visenya nodded to herself. That would do.

The Lady of Dragonstone sighed contentedly as she leaned back into her high chair, surveying the fruits of her labor. It had been much more of a theoretical discussion than had the papers on succession, but that was to be expected without her having first considered the framework of the state itself. That would be next on the agenda.

Tobirama stood on the head of the bird looking around as they flew over the cluster of islands, Zeref was asleep on the back of the bird at this point. Tobirama watching, his vision linked with the the birth through the chakra rods and rinnegan. The bird soared through the clouds passing over, but something felt, strange. With his chakra sensory reaching so far he could feel something, someone, this level of chakra, it was insane. He instructed the bird to head in that direction before waking Zeref, informing him. Zeref knew this was the right decision. He wanted to understand all the threats of the world.

The bird reached closer to the locaiton before his eyes locked onto the target. The bird would slowly circle descending, landing infront of the individual. Tobirama stood on the head of the bird looking down. Zeref was hidden on it's back, his hiding in camoflague hiding his appearence and his seal hiding his chakra. Tobirama spoke first....

"How could anyone sense a being like yourself and not be drawn to it... just who are you?"

Visenya was in her study, handling some routine paperwork at her escritoire when she sensed something. She felt the hair on the back of her neck stand on end, but reaching out with her limited sensory abilities gave her no answer. Rising from her chair the Lady Visenya quickly made her way from her study in one of Dragonstone's towers to the entrance hall, all the while directing servants to search for her siblings. Aegon would be cross with her if it was a false alarm, but Visenya had a feeling, and when the Lady had an inkling woe be to those who dared get in her way. Storming out of the castle she finally spied something to confirm her suspicions; a large bird circling the modest castle, looking like it was about to land, and so it did, right in front of her, carrying a rough-looking man of white hair, clad in grey and blue armor. The sight made Visenya very conscious of her own attire; a practical, embroidered blood-red and black dress with wide sleeves, one that clung tightly to her lithe frame. She had not chosen the attire with conflict in mind.
"I am Visenya, Lady of Dragonstone," she answered the stranger's question with an owlish blink of her eyes, choosing to ignore the... flattery for now. "You find yourself at Dragonstone castle, seat of the House Targaryen, held in the name of Aegon Targaryen, my lord husband."

The woman before him had an aura about her, not just the chakra but the way she held herself, the way she spoke, one of pride, confidence, one that make Tobirama feel a bit defensive. Even though he looked around, his head moving, the giant bird's eyes always looked on, the linked vision of all three would leave no openings. Finally Tobirama returned his gaze to her.

"I bring a guest, one of great importance to your.... house.... though they wish to be welcomed first... do you accept my lord....?"

Zeref remained awake on the back of the bird, watching curiously through his linked vision, he wanted to see what made this castle special, and there was only one way to do that.

Visenya did not question it. Indeed, a guest was a guest whether important or not, and the Targaryens of Dragonstone welcomed all their guests with open arms. With practiced ease the Lady dipped into a formal curtsy, bowing at the waist respectfully. "Then by the customs of our House I welcome you to Dragonstone, may our meeting be a fruitful one." A roar overhead had Visenya looking up, giving a light smile when she spied Vhagar approaching the castle to circle its towers, as was her habit. Even if this guest harbored ill intentions he would find Dragonstone and tha Targaryens tough nuts to crack.
Visenya looked around for a moment before looking back up at the white-haired as-of-yet-unintroduced stranger. "I am afraid you have me at a disadvantage, however. I cannot welcome what I cannot see. Will your master be arriving at a later time? We can find quarters for you if this is the case."

Tobirama smiled kindly at the words of being greeted. He was a man of a traditional Nature, he knew the customs of how to greet and hold himself when it came to meeting renowned families and such. Going off the castle in itself, the dress she was wearing, the amount of people inside and her demeanor, it would seem as though his master, Zeref, would fit right in here.

"Forgive my, intrusion. My Lord likes to take precautions in times such as these, an era of feuding and wars, you can never be too to careful. I am but a servant, a messanger. Though let me introduce my him..."

Tobirama knelt bowing down, on one knee, his head lowered as he spoke.

"My master and savior, Zeref, The Dark Mage"

As he said this it was like a figure stepped out of nowhere, Zeref stepped onto the head, releasing his jutsu that made him invisible, stepping into view looking down with a smile. His black robe with white scarf cast over his should with a dragon sword at his hip. He Inclined his head towards the lady.

"Thank you for your hospitality. I appologize for my... unique ways of doing things, but as Tobirama states, you can never be too careful".

He turned to Tobirama who stood up now, Zeref shoot his hands but in a way that they grabbed each others arms at the wrist, an old style of handshake, before releasing.

"Thank you as always friend, i'll be in touch later."

With that Zeref jumped down a meter away from the lady and smiled. His chakra was still not able to be sensed, while his arm held a new seal, one hidden by his sleeve.

"After you, M'lady"

[Tobirama used the handshake to place the seal of the thunder god on Zeref's arm]

Visenya accepted the gracious apology with a bow of her head, her piercing purple eyes eagerly taking in this 'Zeref'. "Indeed," she agreed with the Mage's sentiment. "These are dark and troubled times." She allowed him the privacy and silence to bid his servant to leave him, before courteously following his gesture and leading the way back into the castle proper. The engraved wooden gates had not shut behind her when she first left the safe confines of its gothic stone architecture and so the small party could make their way inside quickly, greeted by two maids at the entrance. Entering the great entrance hall Visenya spun around gracefully with a wide sweep of her arms, welcoming the Mage to their home. "Welcome, Ser Zeref," she said. "To Dragonstone." The great hall was an impressive sight, with its shiny marble flooring and high, vaulted ceiling connected by thick, doric columns. Paintings and portraits covered the walls, and fine, delicate furniture arrangements were set up around the room. Straight ahead an impressive, ornate flight of stairs obviously led to the upper levels, but it was to a small arrangement of ornate gold and red divans on a soft carpet centered around a low table of elegantly carved bronze that the Lady led her guest.
"Please," she gestured at one of the low couches with a smile as she herself sat down. "Be seated. The servants will bring us some refreshments." As she uttered the words she commanded two maids into action with a slight motion of her hand. "I will take wine. It is a guilty pleasure of mine. Do you have any preferences, Ser?"

Zeref followed his host with a gracious smile on his face as he passed through the large open gates into the giant fortress known as dragon stone. He looked around curiously, what would seem like him being lost in awe would infact be his perception, his eyes taking in every detail of what was around him. The lack of dust showed a constant cleaning regime, the maids showed there was an aura of wealth and power. There was no noticable damage or recent repairs which showed they hadn't been attacked, or did it mean no one had made it this far? Either way it was a clear display of power. A fortress like this stood out for miles, and with it would scream wealth, yet, no one had left a scratch or was too scared to even try. What was the secret to the power that resided here? He would soon find out.

Entering the room following his host as she sat down and she instructed her servants in a polite tone. He would watch out of the corner of his eye for their reactions to the command, would they act on fear or loyalty? What ever it was it was all information, it all had value. Zeref remained standing as he didn't like to feel too comfortable in unfamiliar places but he had the perfect excuse.

"If you'll forgive me, after such a long journey lying on that bird, it's not the most comfortable for me to sit right now, if you would excuse me i wouldn't mind standing for a little while."

He walked around the back of the sofa admiring a large image of a gentleman on the wall in a delicate frame feigning an interest.

"I'm afraid the long journy has left me rather tired, wine wouldn't aid me in this manor, though, would it be too much to ask for a cup of coffee? Or even tea, something to restore a bit of life to my body."

Taking a look around the room he turned to face his host.

"It seems as though you and your family have built a great home for yourselves and going off some of the antiquities here, you've resided her for a long time? Not to seem rude, let me get to my point. What do you know of the events that go on outside of these walls?"

A lighthearted shrug was her response. Guest could sit, stand or lie down as they pleased. "I sympathize," she said with a knowing shake of her head. "Special saddle or not, riding my Vhagar is not the most comfortable way to travel."
Visenya nodded her consent, a curt smile on her face. "Of course. Coffee it is, but I shall have an extra glass at the ready should you change your mind. I do so enjoy a Hohkivian white in the afternoon. But luckily, the markets of the Southern Cluster are well-stocked to both of our needs." She made another motion and the two maids, outfitted in a simple, but functional form-fitting gowns in Targaryen black and red, with white wimples to match, quickly disappeared with a muttered "m'lady."
The Lady took the Mage's praise with a diplomatic smile, but kept her silence as he got to the point of his visit. At his question she barely suppressed a scowl. The truth was none to her liking. "The interests of House Targaryen have not extended beyond this archipelago for many years, Ser Zeref," she answered carefully. "We have our business interests here, and not even in export, as many do, so there is little reason to extend our purview beyond these shores." She straightened her dress carefully, eyeing the fabric critically before meeting Zeref's look evenly. "Our family lost its last ties to the mainland with the Razing of Chungsu. So for your question? Little and less. I have not even flown beyond the archipelago for..." She hesitated, then frowned trying to remember the last time she even thought of the mainland in any practical sense. "...a long time.
The servants completed their tasks quickly, returning almost without a sound to place two small glass wine goblets, along with a bottle of what looked to be expensive wine, on one end of the table. While one maid poured her mistress a glass another prepared on the other end of the table what certainly looked and smelled like coffee in a very delicate-looking china cup. Beside it were the usual condiments of milk, sugar, cream, all neatly placed along with a folded napkin on a fine silver tray. Then, with another bow, they disappeared, assumably to the kitchens.
"Is that why you are here?" Visenya finally asked, when they had been left alone. "To bring news of the goings-on of the Continent?"

Zeref noticed the sudden change in her demeanor in a split second at one of his questions. Leaving here, their borders, how she spoke of not leaving in a time length she couldn't recall. Lost ties? There was more than simple not leaving these borders. This family held prestige, wealth, power, yet they didn't want to spread their influence for what ever reason they kept hidden. Facing his host now he bowed once more.

"Please forgive the missunderstanding, i meant no offense by my questions. I was merely admiring your home, there is much to admire. I meant it more as a compliment, though sometimes i do forget my place. Social interactions aren't my forte."

As the maids lay the coffee before him he allowed one to pour it for him along with some milk thanking her, refusing sugar while making a comment about being "sweet enough", getting a smile out of the young lady before she left. Taking a sip his shoulders began to relax, the aroma of the coffee, he took it i...

"Wow, interesting... a dark roast... freshly ground... less caffeine due to the roast... picked recently.... you really do have a wide variety of resources, and if you don't mind me saying, that wine looks like something a man like me could only dream of."

He took another sip before placing the coffee back down on the tray and taking a seet at the far end of the table to his host. He took a deep breathe before releasing a sigh.

"I'm afraid that wasn't my original intention. My... assistant, the one you met was looking for somewhere for us to rest. It's been a long journey, but what caught his attention was your home. We didn't intend to crash on your doorstep in search of free hospitality. Though the least i can do is inform you of some of the goings on of the world...

Well where to start.... i recently passed into the land of fire, two of the rising nations seem to have a quarell going on. Hearing this i departed, the last thing i want is to be dragged into that. Rising groups of bandits are attempting to rise to power, i recently encountered a group, former milatary faction, attacking the blackwater village. Pirates forming groups in the land of water, ship captain pyke i had a run in with.... but safe to say i got away from that. It's starting to sound like i attacked trouble haha...

Though... Dragonstone... that name... i have some... interest.... would it be so rude of me to ask it's origins?"

Visenya gave a blank look at the apology, but her smile and nod of acceptance were genuine. She had not intended her tone to be hostile. She also noted the Mage's choice of words with regards to his status with interest. Curious, for a man of his obvious noble bearings.

She beamed at his compliment, however, and raised her own glass in response, taking a delicate sip of its almost clear content. "Do you like it? An acquaintance of mine imports it from a place in the Great Wind Desert near the Gulf. My husband simply cannot do without it in the morning." She laughed pleasantly, with an expression of the same disposition. "But this grape is native to the Archipelago. It is still not too late to try it." She discretely slid the empty goblet a few inches towards her guest.

The news he brought were interesting. Violent, which was unsurprising, but interesting. She had not herself heard of any conflict, although even the local rumormongers spoke of these new, rising 'nations'. A militarized, ninja-run parody of the nation state, she thought to herself with distaste. Pirates in the land of water, however, that spelled trouble for the Archipelago. She would ask about them, but first...
"My grandfather, Lord Aenar Targaryen, raised this castle. Our family has always enjoyed a special bond with dragons and their flames helped shape many of the stones that still make up the walls today. Indeed, my Vhagar was bound to my grandmother, Alyssa, at that time. That is the simple origin of the name." Her visage hardened then, as she countered with her own question. "But these pirates, you must tell me more about them. Who are they, how powerful are they? This Cluster relies heavily on shipping for our prosperity, so anything you can tell me would be of great help."
