Hello, hello. Yes!Hello Student! You Ready to learn that Clay?!?
Well Here we go. Give us a brief overview of what Clay is and why you would like to learn it
Posting this here for navigational help.
Well. Clay is fairly simple in its uniqueness. An ability unique to Deidara, I want to look into the versatile aspect of the ability. Deidara's special Clay is formed through the use of advanced Earth manipulation (or Earth based in the manga at least), where the user uses two specialized mouths that feed the chakra into the clay, giving it life in a sense. One can say that these hands acting as the normal molding of chakra that is done, and allows to shape the clay into a variety of shapes and forms, that carry a certain sentience, as shown in the manga/anime. However, its true power lies in the fact that explodes violently through the incantation of Katsu, which is done with a single hand seal. This makes Clay very useful, and of course, deadly in close range and very useful for long range fighters. I want to learn it because of this unique capability that allows for some interesting close encounters, and some freedom in its creation.

Alright good answer, we'll not go through the most important technique of his whole arsenal. This shows a variety of ways his ability is used just in one technique, but it has forms and each form goes from C1 - C4, the final being C0 which is the last technique you'll ever want to use in battle. Last Resort jutsu. C1 Is the weakest, but can be quite versatile in what you create. C2 Creates a dragon capable of flight and also using abilities of it's own. C3 is a large scale bomb in the form of a statue and C4 is a large clone of sorts which releases a large quantity of microscopic bombs - that when breathed in cause victims to literally turn to dust. These techniques literally go from 1 - 100 real quick. Go through and familiarise yourself with the restrictions, analysis and ask any questions.

Description: This technique was developed from a forbidden technique that Deidara stole from Iwagakure. By using the technique's ability to knead chakra into objects through the mouths in the palms of his hands, Deidara can infuse clay with explosive chakra. He then moulds it into a shape depending on the abilities he wants it to have and spits it out. After moulding the clay, Deidara can enlarge it to various sizes depending on the intended purpose of the clay. Once enlarged, the clay creations can be brought to life and controlled remotely by Deidara, who can then detonate the clay by saying "katsu" (喝) and performing the seal of confrontation. Though the explosives are powerful, they are all earth-based techniques, and as such, can be defused by a lightning technique. The technique varies in strength, depending on how much chakra is put into the creation of this "living" clay objects. This was often scaled and referred to by Deidara as going from C1 to C4, ending with the strongest, C0:
C1 - Deidara's most basic and versatile form of explosive clay created from a single palm mouth. These are small animated dolls that often resemble small birds or insects, though he has once made snakes, fish and some misshapen-like creatures controlled by Deidara through a wire made out of clay which could regenerate themselves, while multiplying. They have little explosive power, making them excellent for covert operations. He can release them at high speeds. Its power varies from C-rank to B-Rank.
C-2 "Dragon" (ドラゴン, Doragon): One of Deidara's specialties; a large dragon, capable of flight. While Deidara is safely on its back, the dragon spits out smaller clay figures that attack the opponent like guided missiles. The dragon also produces clay mines, which are used to force opponents to fight in a limited space. The Dragon itself is A-Rank and its mines and its clay figures are C-rank. It can stay on the field until detonated.
C-3 - Deidara's most powerful large scale bomb, an enormous, roughly human-shaped statue that Deidara drops on targets from above. Its explosive power was great enough to apparently destroy a large portion of Sunagakure. Its S-Rank in strength and produces a Long Range explosion from which the user needs to escape as well.
C-4 - "Garuda" (カルラ, Karura; Viz "C4 Karura"): A giant doll, shaped like Deidara himself. When it ruptures, a cloud of microscopic bombs is released. Impossible to be seen by a normal eye, the victims breathe in the bombs, which then enter the bloodstream. Once there, the countless micro-bombs explode, causing the victims' bodies to disintegrate at the cellular level, literally turning them into dust. According to Deidara, he created C4 for the sole purpose of defeating Itachi. Unlike the other Explosive Clay techniques, Deidara consumes the clay using his actual mouth instead of the ones on his hands and performs the Tiger → Snake → Bird → Snake hand seals, releasing an enormous quantity of explosive clay which then transforms into the gigantic doll. The doll itself can be used to do physical attacks and move about on the field. Its S-Rank in strength. The cloud of clay spreads up to long range, rapidly but the technique can only be used twice in battle.
C0 - "Ultimate Art" (究極芸術, Kyūkyoku Geijutsu): Deidara's most powerful technique; a suicidal technique in which he eats a large ball of clay with the mouth on his chest. This consumes his entire body, condensing the body into a large black sphere with jagged teeth and pupil-less eyes. The sphere then opens up and detonates, destroying everything within a blast that covers the whole battle field. Its explosive power is Forbidden rank, costing 60 chakra points and dealing 120 damage to anything caught in it but it kills the user upon being deployed as it cannot be used by clones.
Note: only Deidara can use this jutsu.

The C1 variation is a nice one, where you can make all sorts of animals out of clay. However, they aren't very strong and I would mostly only use them as a deterrent in order to get away or so. It's quite versatile in general, though.
The C-2 Dragon, is to create a dragon that is able to bring forth more of what it's made of, explosive clay. This dragon can be used for offense, defense, and also for supplementary purposes. This can force the opponent into a corner, and it can force them to fight you at long range since it can fly. The guided missiles aspect of the clay figures is pretty great.
C-3, a more large scaled technique, where you will create a massive replica of yourself and basically cause it to explode. This is great if you want to cause all out mayhem. However, you need to have a way to escape it as well.
Probably the more powerful techniques of Deidara, the C-4 where you will cause a massive doll to rupture, causing microscopic bombs to be released that can't be seen by the normal eye. This technique is quite insane, and seems like a last resort type. I imagine the microscopic bombs can't be seen, but they could probably still be sensed?
Lastly, the C-0, a suicdal attack where you will eat the clay with the mouth on the chest. This basically create a 120 damage blast. Not preferable lol.

They are indeed quite straightforward so I don't have any questions on them. One is just a linear based bird that bomb dives and kamikazes the opponent, and the other is a follow up from the first, where you will use the bird to gain some distance while laying cover fire with the clay spiders. Pretty cool Clone variant, enough to fool the Sharingan - not the Mangekyou however. When in close combat with the Clone it can trap people who come into contact with it. Seems you can choose whether it be explosive or not, at least it gives you the choice i suppose?
(Sokkuri Geijutsu) – Altogether Art
Pretty cool technique, I like it aesthetically too be honest. SURFIN SPIDERS ATTACK! Attacking the enemy with the style of your art!
(Kibaku Nendo Tsuin Tori) –Exploding Clay Twin Birds

I really like the Clay Clone, and the second one can also be used to get some clay closer to the opponent to be honest. As for questions, I don't have any.. The techniques are simple enough to understand.

Creepy ass jutsu, unless you like spiders like me. Generic Jutsu, though spiders can crawl across and up surfaces so terrain doesn't really stand in their way.
(Bakuton: Bakuhatsu Keisei) - Explosion Release: Explosive Formation
Sort of a defensive technique as well as offensive, if someone really wants to get into Taijutsu range of you, you can suppress that with this technique. It's range is quite large for a ring technique too so that's pretty cool.
( Bakuton: Shō Shī Surī ) - Explosion Release: Small C3
A smaller less powerful variant of the C3 bomb under the exploding clay technique. A little statue that you can customise rains down on your opponent.

(Kibaku Nendou Kobun) Exploding Clay Minions
Bit of a strange jutsu, i don't know i the chakra cost is a mistake? The explosive aspect of the technique becomes null and void if hit with a fire or lightning ninjutsu. I understand lightning, but fire idk why.

Second ability is a little more spammable than the first since it has unlimited uses, but you gotta be on a C2 dragon :'O
