i must have missed that part, i doubt this... but even taking your word for it, his body cant handle it, otherwise he would have used it vs orochimaru instead of killing himself to seal his arms

It's true that Hiruzen does know 8 gates. It would have been foolish for him to use it against Orochimaru, because he would have been wasting chakra with Taijutsu techniques when he needed sealing jutsu to deal with the edo kages and orochimaru.


To OP: Hiruzen wins with Mid to High Diff. Hiruzen + Enma is enough to handle a 7th gate Might Guy, and if push comes to shove hiruzen can just unlock the gates himself while utilizing Emna, which would completely overwhelm Guy.

Secondly Might Guy fought on par with Madara and actually defeated him if it wasnt for his healing prowess, which Hiruzen does not possess. Kakashi was able to use the eight inner gates but only ever opened the first one, and Gai and Lee showed that it took years and years of extremely hard training to open multiple. 16/17 year old Lee could only open up the 6th despite years of training solely in taijutsu with the greatest taijutsu user ever in Gai.

And yet he never shown The Gates so even if The databook Said he could use all techniques in konoha, it is still mere speculation if he could actually do it since he never used it and there is no hard proof of it. However it id possible that he could, and considering that he was able to use all techniques including basic five elements, ninjutsu, genjutsu and taijutsu as Well as Fuuinjutsu and Kinjutsu and summoning he would have an Extreme Arsenal so there is The possibility he could beat gai but to be honest there is no Real Way to Prove whe is better since Gais 8 Gates rivaler madara in itself and he was hailed as The Best taijutsu Warrior.
