Pretty good buildup chapter. The ending leaves hype for the next chapter, where a major battle between luffy,zoro,law, O-kiku vs hawkins and holdem might commence.

I reckon, calamities are deployed out of wano's borders to enforce a treaty or for other purposes (thats why their strong as). And in the mainland, headliners (weaker than calamities but stronger than the average person) and pirates that ally with kaidou are made headliners in charge of certain parts of wano.
