They tried to tell Naruto no matter what he Do pains and conflict would always arise in the world.

He kept blabbing about peace with such naivety.

Now the village is destroyed..again. And the world is back in chaos.

They were foolish to listen to a 16 year old boy who had no actual knowledge of how the world works.

Now their deaths were in vain.

Hopefully Naruto won’t be so naive anymore if he survived.

The cycle of hatred came to an end.
The Bijuus as a weapon was resolved.
The war between villages is no more.

The problems of Naruto era were solved, everything that is bound to happen, has a different origin. So no, they didn't die for nothing.

The theme does seem to have shifted into tech and aliens.
I don't know if there is much he could do with the knowledge he has been given.

Madara never listened to him if anything Madara was taken out by Dues ex Machina. Yeah I agree though Nagato shouldn't have revived the villagers (bad writing) und Obito becoming a good guy was quite bad it made his purpose worthless.

Of course all of they died for nothing, The main characters literally threw away EVERYONE’s chance at a ‘happy ending’.

They weren’t in vain. Read the last chapter and Sasukes internal monologue.

Kishimoto, as daft as he is. Perfectly laid out the theme of the series and it’s purpose .

Peace is something that may be unattainable in your lifetime or even at all. But you still try. If everyone didn’t try, nothing would happen. You endure and always try.

Naruto did against multiple odds and changed the world, if even for a moment.

Please read the last chapter.

But ultimately, Naruto and Sasuke ruined everyone’s eternal happiness.

Happiness is subjective. Something that makes you happy doesn’t necessarily make you happy the next day.

Those dreams, were lies. Escapism from being forced to abandon the things that you’ve endured. The things that made you who you are. Erased.

They only have their individuality and happiness until they die and turned into zetsu.

That and she was about to use the worlds population to fight.

IT reminds me of the ending to neon genisis evangelion in a way

Now I wanna watch NGE.

Madara wanted peace at the cost of humanity, destroying their past and future.

Sasuke wanted to erase the past to protect the future.

Naruto is wanted to preserve the past and use it to change the future for the better.

Both rejected madara’s ideals.

Humanity always has a choice. Madara was trying to remove that.

You will indulge in your dreams and you will reject reality.

What’s the point of life if it’s handed to you?

Time to watch NGE for the 5th time.

Nope, it was eternal happiness. They were unable to differentiate between reality and the genjutsu so it was technically 100% authentic.

It wasn’t Eternal they would die and cease to be humans. As Kaguya did with the humans before she was sealed.

It’s not authentic if it’s a genjutsu. Their dreams and happiness were forced on to them.

It wasn’t real. It was a lie.

I know how the technique works lol, they would’ve been happy and fulfilled up until the point where they were no longer humans.
It’s authentic since one can’t differentiate between reality and the genjutsu.

No they wouldn’t, it’s a genjutsu, like KA except on steroids that preys on your deepest desires.

It’s basically massive siren call.

Naruto vehemently rejected the concept, but if he was caught, he would have been forced into it.

It’s not authentic if it’s a genjutsu just because the victim doesn’t understand what’s happening to them doesn’t make it real.

It’s real to them, maybe but to the ones unaffected, they’re cocooned and brainwashed.

Did you watch matrix?

Madara's vision of infinite tsukuyomi (without the Zetsu transformations) would have been perfect.

You may say, "what fun is life when it's just handed to you", but that is easy for you to say if your life is even moderately decent.

However, tell that to children born into empoverished families in 3rd world nation's and who lose their parents and essentially have no way to really rise up and make their lives any better.

Tell that to people whose entire lives are screwed over by things they can't control! How about those Jews in WWII who were placed in death camps just for being a certain race/religion? What about the kids among those Jews who didn't even have the power or knowledge to try and escape the country or anything like that?

How about those Japanese preschoolers who were just sitting in class one day and then they suddenly got obliterated by atomic bombs (due to being in Hiroshima or Nagasaki during the war)?

What would you tell those people?

You may be fine with telling people to just accept their lot in life, and to just resign to whatever screwovers and suffering comes their way.

However, people like Madara and I don't believe in just taking the pain and resigning to being a loser in life. Problems must be destroyed!

Long live the alternate infinite tsukuyomi (by alternate, I mean Madara's vision of it where you don't die and turn into a Zetsu, and you just live forever in eternal happiness)!

Long live Madara Uchiha!

That was filler though. We saw a few canonical dreams in the manga, and none of them knew that they were dreaming.
