Jack is quite a fighting material. Just something to boost up the level of power, stamina and so on for the likes of Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Franky. Franky needs to catch on the monsters of StrawHats.

Even though not (yet) explicitly stated, I think there's little doubt Jack has fishmen genes. Same thing for his DF; it's not explicitly said it's a regular one, but the way they were talking about it, makes it pretty certain. And even if it was artificial, it's certain that Jack is completely immobile at the bottom of the sea, so it being artificial or not is actually not relevant in this case.

DF on itself don't drown someone, they make the eater a hammer in water, which will lead to drowning as he can't swim, unless of course you can breath under water. And who an breath under water? Fishmen.

Mammoths don't have teeth like that and even though it's not impossible for a human to have such teeth, they are rather characteristic for a fishman.

Dellinger being a fighting fish does make him a (Hybrid) fishman, a mermaid is also merfolk. And Jack being alive on the bottom of the sea with shark teeth is all the proof I need to know that he is a fishman. You can't expect Oda to take you on his lap and read the story to you because you're lacking in the brain department.

Please show me a page where they explain why van der Decken's body is different. But you'll probably come with a bullshit reply that you're not going to do it because 'omg lul kid can't you see how his body is different'. I'll just refer to my previous answer. Their body isn't different, at least not in the eyes of the sea spirits. They both still sink like a hammer thanks to their abilities. That is the reason why they're in a bubble. 1) He breaths under water and has a mouth, meaning his teeth and lips, that is highly characteristic for a fishman (no shortage of examples here: Hody Jones, Arlong, Dellinger...). There really aren't many entities that fit those criteria. The fact that hybrids exist in the OPverse, makes this something so plausible to the point the majority of the readers already accept it as truth.

2) We know for a fact that there is an enormous amount of variation in the fishmen gene pool, let alone when you add a human in the mix. Dellinger was a hybrid, yet you couldn't see at all physically he was one and he was able to actually let his teeth and dorsal fin grow out. So your argument about skin type is nonsense and invalid. People are talking about Jack being a half and half, but it's very well possible he's 1/4th fishman or even less. It's easily possible that after so many generations the amount of fishmen genes is so low that appearance and ability wise there's not much to see anymore.

3) DF make people hammers in water, it makes them lose all their strength, which leads to them drowning. Fishmen however can breath under water. Vander Decken was living in a bubble because of this. Believe it or not, but some people aren't interested in winning discussions. It's all about enjoying guessing, enjoying making possibilities of after certain event/story.
