Chunnin Exams Sasuke was a fucking disgrace. The jackass fought to entertain The Hidden Leaf Village and flaunt for them despite all they put his clansmen through.

I just wanted to clear up this last point, Sarada used many more chakra intensive jutsu against Buntan and that was after losing half her chakra via the loss of her shadow clone. What happened after 3 jutsu was blatant nerf in comparison to what she's done before. She's definitely being nerfed in the chakra department even the sharingan is nerfed it's somehow become chakra intensive. She doesn't have as low chakra as you think that's just shit writing by SP to eliminate her. She has more chakra than Boruto as confirmed by their stats.

On that note I'm out.

Edit: Sharingan use (supposedly chakra intensive in Boruto)
Shadow clone Jutsu 1/2 her chakra lost.
After losing 1/2 her chakra
Lightning ball 1
Lightning ball 19 simultaneously.
Lightning funeral
Lightning armour and boosted by adding more chakra.
Genjutsu

This is ignoring all else that was going on like water walking and avoiding Buntan's attacks etc. All the while having her chakra intensive sharingan active.

Compared to chunin exam nerf we csn see the difference.

Just because I thought you might be interested to know, and ignore this if you don't consider the novels canon, but in the Sasuke shinden book, they give a few details about Sarada's sharingan.

In it, it states that not only do additional tomoe increase the genjutsu ability and reaction time of the Sharingan, they also state that it drastically lowers Chakra consumption while in use.

This correlates with what we see in the manga, as earlier on in the series, Sasuke would have to ration his use of Sharingan (Although not that much) and over the course of the series, many sharingan users show that with greater experience, it consumes less chakra.

This is shown to such an extent that in shippuden Itachi is almost NEVER shown without his sharingan active, and sasuke never has a fight without it on except for the beginning of the Bee fight. (He does not turn it on until after he lets Juugo and Suigetsu attempt to beat him.)

To make a long story short, the manga has always implied subtly that more experience means less chakra consumption (Which makes sense because Ebisu stated that chakra consumption is lowered over time with greater mastery of certain Jutsu's, using naruto sasuke and Sakura as examples, stating naruto wastes a lot of excess chakra making a clone, while sasuke wastes a little, and Sakura wastes almost none.)

And on top of this, the novel now states that one tomoe sharingan is super draining just because it is one tomoe, and on top of that, is weaker.

The bright side of all of this, is that theoretically, Sarada should absolutely wreck with 3 Tomoe.

Thanks for the additional info I thought it was the opposite :lol.

It would explain why Itachi always has his sharingan active with his below average chakra reserves. I still think they overdid it with the sharingan being as chakra intensive as it's portrayed at 1 tomoe.

"Peace doesn't excuse Ignorance"

Ignorance does not require an excuse :|

Do you understand what ignorance is? If so, then you'd understand why it isn't Sarada's fault that she doesn't know the history behind the clan or villages shadow.

It is the responsibility of her predecessors to teach her the truths behind the clans and villages, if they don't, she literally has no way of knowing.

Imagine if you died and went to a hell from some religion you never heard about and the god of that religion said "You are in hell because you didn't worship me" And you reply: "I didn't know ____ism was the true religion, I never even heard of it!"
And the god replies "That's your fault, ignorance is no excuse for not knowing."

WOWEE!

Or a more realistic example: You and a buddy go to the store, and they steal something. You didn't know. He gets caught, and you go to court with him because you were there. In court, your buddy says you didn't know anything about it, and the camera at the store proves you made no moves to assist your buddy, and the footage heavily implies you had no idea it was happening.

Yet the judge says: "Sorry, you are an accessory to the crime, and ignorance is no excuse."

Totally reasonable, totally fair.

You can't be held responsible for not having information that you never knew you were supposed to have. A college course on photography can not fail you for not knowing latin. Sarada can't be faulted for not magically acquiring information that is classified Konoha history, especially when her parents and Naruto seem to be actively hiding it from her. There is an episode where she reads from a scroll in the library of the Uchiha's past. It mentions nothing of the massacre, just that they were wiped out some time recently.

She knows nothing of Itachi, Sasuke, the Uchiha's planned revolution, or any of sasuke's sins on the path of hatred. There is NO way of her getting that info except from the mouths of those who experienced it. And there is NO WAY she would ever know to ask, because she has no idea that there even IS something to ask.

Silly.

Yeah There is no WAY she is knowing about something that is stamped in her freaking back everyday. Or in her house's walls everywhere. Sasuke didn't know much too. But he was desperate to know of it. He was eager to know more about it. It wasn't just a detail in his life. Nor in the others Uchiha. That's why the Uchiha became an interesting subject in Naruto. She, don't living along with other Uchiha doesn't excuse for her to drop the research that freaking tells that her grandmother and gradfather had been slaughtered.
And sorry, people even if not knowing they are buying stolen things, they CAN and Will go to prision. Why? Because you've got to have conscience about the world you are living, like it or not.

Sasuke knew nothing of the truth about the Uchiha massacre, but you know why no one blames him? Because all that time he was looking for the answers. And not in some restaurant, eating hamburgers telling Boruto to shut up. Or bashing her own mother because some strange photo. Or praising blindly a postion, without knowing the pro and cons about it. Even part 1 Naruto knew of it.

"She is in peace enviroment, she won't care". Simba was much more playful, naive, and terribly incorrigible. And yet he is much more willing to know more about his ancestors even if his father didn't want to tell about it. He made sure he told him everything about it.
He demanded it. And not whined about it.
A disney character. Poor you.

Walls of text to justify an Uchiha having an obviously weaker and less chakra.
And I'll be here waiting for Sarada shame again and again the Sharingan, and now the 3 tomoe. What? Can't keep up with puppets? Has to cover to know the enemies defects? lol
Old Uchihas did that while fighting and overkilling.

Yes lets have Sarada be a total rehash of Sasuke's character and make a 12 year old girl search for answers about her clan, even though logically in her position, one would assume everything in the Konoha library about the uchiha clan would be all there is to know.

Look, if there was a LOGICAL reason for a 12 year old girl to expect her history was more than what she currently knows, I would agree, but I can not see a reason why she would suspect something is being hidden from her.

Besides, we all know she will eventually learn the truth about the fate of the Uchiha, and when she does, I seriously doubt she'll just be like "Oh okay then", she will probably have an arc of development etc, etc about the whole ordeal.

If they treat sarada as they treated Sasuke (As a dual protagonist of sorts) there is no way she will lag behind Boruto in development OR power, and in that case, I see one future for her: Learning the truth of the village and Uchiha, And creating HER OWN answer from there, and she will undoubtedly gain Sasuke's rinnegan at some point if she is to one day battle the Ootsusukis alongside Boruto.

You are, again, judging a 12 year old girl for not knowing a history she has NO REASON to suspect. she simply doesn't know! What more is there to say? She will learn. But not until she either A: has a reason to search for answers, which would require something to make her suspicious of her past... or B: Someone mentions the Uchiha's dark past to her and causes her to question things from there.

By the way, comparing Sasuke's thirst for family information to Sarada's is just stupid. One of them lived through a genocide, the other grew up peacefully, never hearing about the Uchiha except from her mother and the Konoha library, and neither told her anything about what REALLY happened.

Expcting her to react like Sasuke despite them being int COMPLETELY different circumstances is unreasonable.

There are a number of things parents keep secret from their children. How many of us know who our great grandparents were, let alone two or three generations prior to that? While some cultures are better at tracking these lineages than others, that comes with its own line of problems. Families can get into very bitter feuds. It would, therefor, be in the interest of parents to not tell their children every facet of history right off the bat. There are decisions made between my father and my Uncle that were never passed down to me, even though they affected me (perhaps far more than it would first appear... one brother decided to help build factories for overseas competitors, one brother didn't. One brother's children were allowed into relatively powerful positions of business, one brother's whole family was nearly destroyed - probably not by any action of the other brother, but who delivered the 'opportunity').

Children can be very quick to rally to the defense of their parents. It is easy to "color their mind," as my mother used to say. When the parents begin talking about all of the bad things they have endured over time - it can very quickly lead children to be unnecessarily hostile toward children from those families, with no reason to bring the issue up, again.

In this case, there is no reason for Sarada to try and bear Sasuke, Sakura's, or any of the Uchiha's burdens. It could be argued that 'ninja' stuff makes her need to be more advanced than the background populations of children - but I think, in this case, the parents are generally trying to let the past remain in the past for the sake of the children. I'm not sure it's really even proper to try and assess characters like Sarada against characters like Simba. While I would certainly argue that Simba is the more noble of the characters in his story arc - Sarada's is more practical and representative of the human experience.

Kids get ideas. Both of my brothers were (and still are) far more blonde than I was. My from was more narrow and angular - a substantially stronger representation of my mother's side. I often joked that, as I was born 2 months premature and spent the early portions of my life in an incubator and technically died several times during birth - that I was actually some kind of genetic engineering project. ... Which would actually explain a few things.... but the point is that it isn't unusual for children to act the way Sarada did, and it isn't all that odd for Sasuke and Sakura to try and let the past remain in the past for the sake of their children.

How many of us have dug into the history of the family heirlooms and those sorts of things? Symbols and crests used by our families? These are not things people usually begin taking a lot of interest in until after they are looking to start their own families and begin thinking about what it was that might have been passed down to them without their full knowing. To Sarada, their family crest is kind of like this thing her parents do. It's like how some people have a lot of dolphins or eagles theming the decorations.

If you want to compare Simba to Sarada, then Simba was being raised to be a king and those demands of being a king were being placed on him very early. This is a very different concept from Sarada, who is not truthfully being 'raised' to be much of anything other than what she chose to be - a Ninja and Hokage. It's a very different view of heredity on the part of the parents, to begin with. One representing a sort of royal/noble viewpoint, and the other representing a far more egalitarian/commoner viewpoint.

Yeah, I use an emblem every freaking day, and I don't even want suspect what it means fully. The range of your mind analysis is just as great as hers. You are the kind of person that would use fascist symbols if someone told it was cool, and then when you get imprisioned you tell the police "I don't know anything about it, you can't take me!!11"

Obito isn't a rehash of Sasuke's character, and even he knew about his past, what it meant, even being quite shocked in being in Madara's presence, and when he died. And he was an orphan. Treated very badly.

I don't know about you, but if I discovered that my clan, nation was wiped out, in the same day I'd stop everything I was doing and do the deepest analysis in the subject ever done -even if I'm at peace. Why? Because I care about people who would care about me too - and that were my grandfather and grandmother. You don't have this kind of honor? Okay, but I do.
Sakura already told her, Sasuke's family was wiped out. And she has no reason to suspect it?? You are the kind of people that think that holocaust is just a breeze passing through, that should be forgotten.

And even if she learns it: as you said she will be like "Oh such a dark past...I'm not like them...I'm must be the cutest and nicest Uchiha everrrr!! So I can be like Naruto senpai kawaiiii" - All to justify Konoha's actions, never having a critical postion towards them. Even Sasuke doesn't go around adoring with his soul Konoha all out.

7 years old Sasuke had a really peaceful environment and didn't even know much about his clan past fully, and yet he qustioned about the situation.
12 years old Sarada has just as peaceful environment as he did, and doesn't question anything. She is small minded, I have discovered now. wow! Another point for her.

Yeah, if your grandparents were murdered and you still say you have no reason to suspect anything, you deserve that government wipes your soul and criticism out, with brainwashing. And....any bad name that people throw in your way. Not caring for family is one of the worse sins after all.
You are just that rotten.

That is an extremely impassioned judgment against a twelve year old.

It's as you said. Her grandparents were wiped out. People she never knew, and barely contemplated the existence of. If Mom and Dad don't act like it was a big deal, then why would she? We take a lot of cues from our parents and the people around us. It can be argued that we should drop everything we are doing to investigate every single tragedy out there, but there are many and our time is limited. We take our cues from parents, teachers, family to help us determine which events are important to remember and research, and which ones are not.

In a similar manner to Sarada - there is an entire lifetime my father lived before he became my father - a great many things I will probably never know, and some I only heard about after he died. Some of them are things I asked and he gave a non-committal answer. Others are things I never even thought to ask about.

I get what you are saying, but Sarada's actions are not comparable to someone who is blatantly ignoring or not caring about their family.

Oh? The past must stay in the past?? Tell that to all the holocaust victims. Tell them they are all just raising feuds and shame in a lot of countries. Tell them they shouldn't go around telling all the countries much more powerful than them, they shouldn't slaughter people around. Tell these victims they are making people uncomfortable. Tell them they are making an unecessary fuss about something that happened 70 years ago.

Worse:: You are telling that to the girl that had the whole family wiped out. YOU are telling this to the very victim of the massacre.
You are defending that Konoha did that, and nothing can be changed, and people should never know alll about the issue. Just because this would be revealing ALL the bad they've caused.
AND GOODNESS: You are telling this to the person that wants to become the Hokage- someone that should know all about the Village past, and how to deal and criticize all of it.

How rotten are you?

*****

Sarada wants to become exactly what Simba was raised for. But quite different from her, he questions his environment. He even ventures out to know more about the enemies. And ironically HE should be the most alienated due being from royalty. And it's actually the opposite!!

Willful ignorance of something that is stamped in your back Everyday is not excusable. Ever.
Specially if you are from a noble clan.

Worse, it's in war that people aren't able to have critical position. It's in peace that people are able to have the full picture.
Proving how much of a supporter of brainwashing you are.

I have no words to express my disgust.

Yeah, why would I care about a HOLOCAUST towards my family.
I don't even believe you are supporting such a passives aptitude towards genocide. We are not talking about your gradfather problems with your brother because of some selling that went wrong. We are talking about your grandfather and grandmother that got killed due a much bigger scheme.

Are you from China? Well, I'm pretty sure you are from somewhere the country doesn't support critical thinking because it would be too troublesome, and ruin their plans of manipulating you, and stop you from defending such fascist way of behaving and ignoring blantantly the meaning of something that is right in front of you.

Disgusting.

Within the context of the Boruto, what purpose would it serve to tell a girl about how the village conspired to kill her family? What purpose would it serve to even begin to encourage her to look into it? How would she react? You assume that she would take the Naruto-inspired "I'm going to be Kawaii" - but that's a pretty big gamble, especially if they go Kwai. Then, what have you done? Raised a kid to turn a suspicious eye toward every person who accidentally short-changes them or blocks their path?

There is teaching the lessons of history, and then there is perpetuating the anguish of history. Part of the job parents play, and their importance, is the salvaging of lessons from the anguish so that their children do not have to repeat it, but can still learn from it. It isn't exactly perfect, but it's what we have.

The question, here, was to the character of Sarada. You are, now, trying to blame her for the decision her parents made to keep these things secret, and then trying to blame her for not leaping at the opportunity to dig up bones - as a child.

The discussion of whether or not the decision of Naruto, Sasuke, et al was proper is a very different argument that has very little to do with Sarada or her character.

How rotten are you?

As rotten as what I need to climb into to get the job done. We can wash after.

That's a valid observation. Those who are raised to take further responsibility for the conditions of the world around them are going to be more inquisitive.

Specially if you are from a noble clan.

That consists of two people. Three if you count the vagrant father.
Yeah, if you're on the Hyuuga Estate and see the work of generations laid out before you, it's difficult to not connect to a greater sense of family existence and responsibility. By contrast, the current Uchiha Clan can barely deck out a studio apartment.

Worse, it's in war that people aren't able to have critical position. It's in peace that people are able to have the full picture.

You're kind of defeating your own argument by suggesting Sarada was brainwashed, then trying to blame her for that brainwashing and not immediately dropping everything to jump at the first crack in her reality.

I have no words to express my disgust.

Then just bite, and let the tears flow.
