Why would you need bad people? We already have plenty of those and you can see how messed up the world is. If you're saying everything would fall apart because it would be boring. You can still have fun and be a good person. Fun doesn't have to involve hurting, bullying or preying on others, taking advantage of other people etc. that stuff only pulls people apart and builds up hate.

It may be an impossibility, but if everyone respected eachother and treated eachother better we would accomplish more and the world would be a better place.

Yes. A good person should be able to kill the Devil and get blood on their hands. Being good doesn't mean they have to strip away their ability of reasoning. A good person would realize that letting a mass murder continue to murder many more is objectively worse than the murderer himself dying. In fact, I think a good person should have extremely strong objective reasoning if he's running around with these kinds of capabilities.

This. A good person should look a lot like future me, and if future me isn't a good person I'll take that to mean a good person has to have limits. What use is being good if you give your all to one and have none left for the rest or yourself? An all-good person has to know their limits and judge everyone around them appropriately. They're bound to make errors and be flawed to some extent.

There is Good... and then there is Stupid.

If it is the intent of myself to harm someone who has no intention of committing harm on others, and whose actions do not pose a threat to those around them - then would it be good to allow me to do so?

Good people have, in general, sought out methods to be able to stop such individuals while not killing them - as good people recognize that a person can commit an evil act without, themselves, being evil. Even those who, at one point in time, can be fully intent on harming another person, can realize another way of life and reject such feelings or actions in the future.

It is this belief that others can be good that defines good, itself. It is the desire to see all things live to realize a greater purpose. However, we have limits to our abilities. Sometimes, the force necessary to stop someone intent on harming society will put an end to their life. Sometimes, a person is so set into their ways of causing harm to others, that death is the only recourse.
