Note that Sarada's first design as a little child made by Kishimoto already had a Sharingan in it, which basically confirms that she indeed has her Sharingan since she was around 3-4 years old.

So it's canon I didn't think SP plucked it out of thin air, they were likely using Kishi's ideas.

Regarding the pic 123Fire says Konohamaru said Sarada excels at everything.

It was epsiode 50 and Konohamaru confirmed that the whole class are prodigies in a way.

So some are in one thing, others in a few(Boruto) and if Sarada excels at everything then she's a prodigy in everything
