Sorry, but no. Kaguya, Momoshiki, and Toneri may be bland, but that's where it stops. They're bland at best, unlike the Uchihas that are actually badly written.

Obito alone ruined many characters, including Tobi, and he especially damaged Naruto's character. Itachi is a Gary Stu full stop. Madara has a split personality that goes from wanting to save the world to wanting to kill everyone in battle. Kishimoto lost Sasuke's place in the story after Itachi's death, so he had to change his views like 4 times just to justify Naruto V Sasuke by the end of it. Salad isn't looking to good either with her irrelevance to the Byakugan Aliens.

Bland writing > Bad writing. Ootsutsuki are the former, Uchiha the latter.

The Ootsutsuki can't be badly written when they have no development. They have potential to be good, unlike the Uchiha that are already bad. With aliens, planets, and dimensions involved, they can lead part 3 to be akin to DBZ, the most succesful manga series of all time.

They are akin to Iwabe, Himawari, or Wasabi. All those three are better than Obito because unlike him, they don't sabotage and destroy multiple prominent characters (Naruto, Minato, Kakashi) and plot points just so the author can justify a pedophile crush.

Obito goal was fine until the war arc where kishi sabotaged his character. Sasuke changed his views as he learned more about the circumstances surrounding the ninja world. Just that the uchiha are better written and deliver great stories than the aliens that have been introduced.

The problem with the Uchiha plot is that it lacks originality when it overdose with parrelism and reincarnation BS.

Characters like Madara & Sasuke lack compelling features as characters because they are alike and they both share the same fate which makes the story so predictable.

However obito is the worst offender in this. He doesn't carry the same hardship like itachi or nagoto and yet he lost his mind over a girl and committed genocide.

Obito literally ruined the image of the Uchiha and drag the whole story into pitfall.

Part 2 was ruined because of the uchiha wank and it all came down to one or the other uchiha being salty for one reason or the other starting with Indra lol. And when you look at the fact that they were taken advantage of by adding salt to their butthurt and that it was an otsutsuki pulling the strings all along, they look even more pathetic than before.

Otsutsukis on the other hand are clearly not driven by something so trivial as hate or butthurt and there entire clan is shrouded in mystery which makes them far more interesting than the uchihas ever were or could have been.
