Tsuande against Mei? Who logically takes the match up

I think Mei is slightly underrated because of her performance against Madara but that was to be expected. Susanoo can practically tank any and mostly alll physical attacks and her ninjutsu alone is not enough to hurt susanoo. However someone like tsuande who relies solely on Cqc and doesn't tout speed such as the likes of the raikage. I think Mei could pretty much dismantle her ability to fight in close range.

Mei has the hidden mist jutsu to obscure her vision. Acid mist to destroy her summon and lava to lethally hurt her even if she activates her healing powers. Not to mention several mid range jutsus to keep her at bay.

on the upside Tsunade would only need 1 punch to win the match but that is easier said than actually done. So who do you think would win and why?

I dont know why everyone think that Mei is weak or something, and that she did bad against Madara. I think that Mei would win, she got a lot more techniques at disposal, only way Tsuande can win is because of Katsuyu

Depends on start distance. As long as mei keeps her out (and she can if she has the distance) tsunade loses.

Tsunade has larger reserves, she can instantly heal any damage that Mei’s Elemental jutsu’s does her body which are mainly demonstrated as long range attacks so being that Mei cannot put Tsunade down long range should either (A) burn herself out chakra/stamina or (B) be forced to engage Tsunade close range which puts Mei in a hopeless predicament becuase Tsunade stomps her in CQC.

Tsunade is just the stronger shinobi, you could even argue that Tsunade can blitz Mei before she even makes a handseal.

I’m willing to bet that Byakugou Tsunade could do that way longer then Mei can launch attacks; Mei wouldn’t have a choice but to try and get close to win.

Tsunade wins, all she need to do is increase her speed via chakra and leap towards Mei and engage in CQC and it’s over, lava style was evaded by Karin, water style poses no threat to a Byakugō user and acidic mist gets dispersed if Tsunade strikes the ground.

Let me put it in a better way.. Tsunade has proven that she can move faster then Mei can form a handseal & release a jutsu, Tsunade literally jumped a far distance from the other kages to deflect Madaras attack with her body in one panel.

Tsunade survived traveling at the speed of light in base form and managed to still kick Madara before attending to her injuries or even used byakugou.

Meis acid mist isn’t stoping Tsunade period, yes I’m sure it’ll be painful but that still not enough to keep Mei safe. Tsunade would just attack and regenerate at the same time,

Mei doesn't have anything to say she or her justu are quick either though. It's more likely Tsunade is way faster if you're asking me and should win the matchup. Mei could take limbs with the lava, but Tsunade should still be fine if only 1 is gone.

Just because Mei has the distance doesn’t automatically mean she is gonna win. Now don’t get me wrong, Mei is Kage level no doubt and her Kekkei Genkai are problematic, but Byakugou isn’t the only Method Tsunade has to heal.

You guys think many are underestimating Mei but you are underestimating Tsunade’s versatility Via Katsuyu and her own durability. She is both Uzumaki and Senju so she is durable. She also has that nerve sealing Jutsu she used on Kabuto to really mess with Mei when( and she will) gets in close quarters.

Katsuyu’s acid can counter Mei’s Mist, Katsuyu can split creating a diversion.

Medical Ninja excell at evasion. Suns isn’t gonna stand around and jut take acid and lava attacks because Byakugou MIGHT heal her. If she thinks it’s not gonna cut it she will evade.

Honestly though I can see this fight going either way but I personally give it to Tsunade high difficulty If she could afford to be sloppy fighting Madara and weather all those damaging attacks, she can take on the brunt of Mei’s Jutsu

Water wall will keep her away(its big enough to dwarf even madara's biggest fire tech), while Acid mist capable of burning a susanoo will keep her out. While it is true she will heal. As seen during the madara fight the pain of attacks can cause her to

. And it has the benefit of being continuous sustained damage. Couple that with her ability to use hiding in mist a la zabuza style and then tsunade can't even see her to attack her. The off chance tsuand comes close just water wall(or a more deadly acid tech) rinse and repeat.

Mei's attacks are the worst match for Tsunade's byakugou. Tsuande will have a tough time expending most of her byakugou chakra to continuously heal herself and closing in the gap with Mei when most of the ground is covered in lava and visibility obscured by Mei's mist jutsu which also does high acidic damage enough to melt even Sasuke's basic skeleton susanoo. Katsuyu could be easily dealt with using Mei's water wall justu which could counter Katsusyu's acid and it can easily be switched to attack mode with the water dragon bullet. Tsunade probably will melt and burn before she even finds Mei in the mist.
The only way Tsunade stands a chance is if she's able to engage Mei in CQC but Mei being a kage level opponent knows her own weaknesses and thus definitely won't fall for it. So this is a definite win for Mei.

Tsunade's speed is on par with Lightened A when she cracked Madara's SusanoO.She easily dodge Mei and burst the acid mist and lava with brute force and strikes her which could end the fight.

Do Tsunade really has counter for Hidden / Acid mist ???

People say punch shockwave will disperse the mist but I don't really remember any instance in manga when this happened.

I would still give it to Tsunade.Even when hit she will regenerate. She has Uzumaki / Senju blood so I would say her normal chakra reserves are bigger than Mei's adding Byakugou chakra reserves + Katsuyu makes it unfair.

Also Mei doesn't really have jutsu to finish Tsunade off.

It’s a toss up really, but Mei has a lot more work to do to take out tsunade than tsunade does to take out Mei. If Mei can keep her distance and trap her with a hidden mist and then lava release combo I could see her taking it, unfortunately if tsunade gets a hit it’s over. It’s also fully possible that using a jutsu while in the hidden mist jutsu would give your position away. At which point no amount of lava release would stop tsuna and byakugo from tagging her. So I say tsuna 7-8 Times outta 10
