And so science should be the true answer? Both have their qualities and flaws, you would be surprised to see just how scientists reveal whatever benefits them best for whatever causes they want to defend.
You completely missed the point of my post. I was calling out people who are entangled in a net of double standards. Those people have the following philosophy about the world:
"If I want to accept something as fact, I will, but if I don't, I'm still right because of my holy book, and who cares that the science I reject has methodology just as solid as the science I accept."
I was also referring to the philosophy of science, not scientists who inject personal bias into their works. They are not even remotely the same thing.
so you mean to tell me that science should only be exclusive to atheists and someone must be atheist in order to be proud or use technology and medical advancements?
Brate, you mistake religion to religious cults. You are also exhibiting the same mentality towards them.
It's like a progressive person calling others Nazis or religious nutcases when they themselves push their own values and beliefs on others and forcing the government to enforce said values and beliefs. Last time that happened, the holocaust happened.
I wonder if everyone adopted your logic "be atheist or be denied of anything that isn't religion-based"
Like so many, you assume too much and put words in my mouth because you do
not listen. I most certainly am
not atheist. Religion and theism are not the same thing.
Science belongs to
everyone. There are many religious moral values that should be kept, but I was speaking about strict
fact, not morality. I take no issue with someone who adopts religious moral values. I
do take issue with someone who tries to dabble in scientific fact while also positing that their holy book is a good source of unbiased evidence for supernatural occurrences. It's hypocrisy, and I despise hypocrisy, as should any logical person. The people who think that way accept and reject facts wherever they please based on personal bias, and I think it's unacceptable that those people act as if they're science enthusiasts.
Science and religion go together.Thier are many citings in Bible which have been confirmed to be true.Lots of tons of scientific researches have come to the conclusion that Bible is 'fact'.Science is necessary to prove ancient writings but things like the first man was a 'monkey' is kind of disturbing considering man was created in 'God's own image' which means God is a 'monkey' which is disturbing hence 'religious' people dismiss that notion.
You have no clue what you're talking about. Go educate yourself. You might find it useful to look into the different types of logical fallacies.
People like you are what bother me the most. Grow the hell up. Stop bitching about religion when you yourself are putting science itself on a pedestal as if it was the holy bible and every single theory that has ever come out of the mouth of every single scientist ever was the unbiased word of god himself. Also you don't have to be a religious person to disagree with a retarded theory about human evolution.
Another thing i'd like to point out is; I haven't seen a single "religious" person whine about science in years. I don't know what you're searching up on the internet but for me, everywhere i go i only i see people like you. And it's pretty darn obnoxious.
Your entire post is riddled with misrepresentations of what I said.
People like you are what bother me the most. Grow the hell up. Stop bitching about religion
Based on how terrible your reading comprehension is, I'd say I'm a lot more grown up than you, but okay. Not surprising that the tilted are the first to throw out insults. I was not bitching about religion. I was bitching about
religious people who pick and choose which facts they want to agree with. It's absolutely pathetic and hypocritical.
when you yourself are putting science itself on a pedestal as if it was the holy bible and every single theory that has ever come out of the mouth of every single scientist ever was the unbiased word of god himself
Once again, I was not defending
scientists, but the philosophy of
science itself, which is that no personal bias should be involved in the pursuit of knowledge -- that the universe should be objectively observed and all double standards, which are totally irrational, erased. The entire point of my post was to call out
people who live in a swamp of double standards. They choose to accept facts only when the facts don't challenge the consistency of their biased narrative.
Also you don't have to be a religious person to disagree with a retarded theory about human evolution.
Did I say that? No, but in your mind I did. Shows a lot. Retarded theory? Do you have any idea the size of the mountain of evidence supporting evolution? But you can call it retarded because it doesn't fit how
you want to view the world, of course. Sounds familiar.
Another thing i'd like to point out is; I haven't seen a single "religious" person whine about science in years. I don't know what you're searching up on the internet but for me, everywhere i go i only i see people like you. And it's pretty darn obnoxious.
Whine about science? Where did I say religious people whine about science? No -- many religious people
claim to support scientific endeavors and then turn around and reject certain disciplines of science that are just as robust as others simply because the pieces of evidence provided by those disciplines challenge their precious world views. It's absurd how common it is to see a religious person genuinely interested in a discussion of Einstein's theories, for example, but excruciatingly uncomfortable in a discussion of Darwin's theories.
And of course, your final comment is full of "I haven't" and "I never see." Nice job providing useless anecdotal commentary to what is supposed to be an objective discussion.
