Been reading some western comics? Come tell us about it!
Who's your favorite character? Any great storylines everyone else should check? How did you get into it?

I just recently started reading DC Comics (mainly Batman though) because I really enjoyed Arkham Games and have been hooked since. I can't wait for the Batman/Catwoman marriage or the next issue of Doomsday clock now that Dark Nights Metal is finished.

Well just know that New 52 is a reboot and rebirth is combining Dc comics with the Watchmen series so right now we're in the most vital spot of it all. Pre New 52 is the mainstream original continuity.

Marvel rebooted after secret wars when Victor Von Doom took over the mutiverse but rebooted again to this shitty "let's put as much races as we can" hero group until Marvel realized its mistakes and went back to bring back the orginal heroes in Marvel Legacy. Right now an amazing story is told about Thanos, Silver Surfer, old Hulk (could be maestro), and Ghost rifer Frank Castle (formerly known as punisher).


One thing you should keep in mind is that in the DC universe the strongest Superhero is Superman of course. Most prep dangerous is Batman/Lex Luther, the underrated is Flash, and the most underwhelming but not weak is Wonderwoman and Aquaman sometimes.

Marvel universe strongest hero is probably Silver Surfer/(Dr. Strange???), if not strongest Avenger would be Hulk. Spiderman is the most underrated superhero and sometimes Captain America suprises you.

The most overrated hero of all times in everywhere you go is Thor, I can't stress that enough on how over hyped he gets by his fans.

New 52 Batman by Snyder was an amazing series.

If you like Lord of the Rings you need to go read Bone, I'm waiting and dreading that movie because Hollywood refuses to do stuff true to source and that story needs no adjustment and only one thing could be added but is unnecessary(a fight scene extension between two big players is left to our imagination in story) If they shot that comic panel for panel it'd be a great movie, nothing added nothing taken away just shoot the panels.

Also some of the better stories have been coming out of the other companies like Image. Check out East of West and Seven to Eternity.

Some solid writers have been; Rick Remender, Matt Fraction, Gerry Duggan, Cullen Bunn. I'm blanking on so many right now.
