I find it weird alot of uchiha fan's don't like boruto when i find him too be more like sasuke than naruto.

The only thing I hate about Boruto is the “lovey-dovey,cookie cutter friendship” bs they always try to make their protagonist use. Other than that, I haven’t found another fault.

Boruto is not really like Sasuke was in part 1. Their personalities only share so
Many traits and their backstories couldn't be more different.

That said I don't particularly like Borutos laidback attitude. After the movie I Starting to like him more because he was able to choose to his role to protect the village from the shadows but he still has some growing up to do before I can start appreciating him more as a character

Boruto in my opinion is one of the better characters of this generation, whether you like him or hate him. You can't deny that simple fact that his character is constantly changing. And I can't help but be reminded that this is Naruto's son, but he acts ... so different at the same time.

For example, Boruto being a Prodigy ninja who deplores hard work.

Who despite having the abilities to excel, would rather use mods or cheating tools to speed through the process of working. You can even see this in examples where Boruto had to be reminded in a real world example to not expect immediate answers to fall on his lap, you have to try.

And the most important is his resolve, being absolutely pathetic in the face of true adversary. If he's not fighting for someone else, Boruto would rather give up on the spot if it looked like it was over.

Kishimoto made a protagonist whose base revolves around:

* Not working hard
* Expecting immediate answers to fall on his lap
* Gives up easily unless he's protecting someone else.

That's literally the opposite of some Shounen Characters, including his father. But I digress, despite the obvious differences between both he and his father, you'll still have people call him nothing but a Naruto clone. Because everyone is a unique character in Boruto's generation not inspired by their parent or parents, amiright?

Regardless I think there's something heartwarming in seeing this spoiled little shit mature.

The spoiled brat who blamed his father for not being there, growing into someone who accepts their own flaws and mistakes. There's something poetic about this development. A child who wanted attention and recognition from his Father to a shinobi who supports the Village and his friends from the shadow. Anyway that wraps up my thoughts.

I agree he's more emo and had mood swings to boot. 1 moment I don't want to do something or this is wrong blah blah, the next moment I want to do it and it's all good. He's bipolar af, perhaps people enjoy that kind of thing but not me. I wanted to see a different character altogether and not the child of the previous protagonist being the new protagonist.
He is liked by most people for absolutely no concrete reason man. Protagonists having descendants as heroes is extremely redundant. It would be better if Metal Lee becomes the hero to be honest.

I like boruto because he is like Naruto but with more versitality, he doesn't yell he is going to be hokage all the time, and he doesn't chase after a emo 24/7. He makes up for all the things i didn't like about naruto which was my favorite when it was his story. I also like boruto because he has a sasuke vibe when he fights.

Metal Lee’s story would be far more annoying. I don’t even think you thought about how we’d have scenes of him fainting and goofing up moves simply because he’s being observed until the end of the first manga arc, at least.

Exactly he wants to become a support character but is taking the lead. Support characgers stay in the shadows it's pure and simple Clone(Boruto) is only there for the purpose of making money. Blonde haired, blue eyes protagonist son of the previous protagonist been there, see that, done that. He's different is th excuse which is a joke.

I've long advocated Metal Lee replacing him. Or my personal favourite having a cloned Madara(Orochimaru style) non incarnate(so not op) and lookung at struggles tgrough their eyes. The plot development potential is immense and allows room for major development and character dynamics to be explored. Even a female lead and looking at things through a different lens is far better than anything Boruto can offer.

I don't know if I like him but thinking about it, it's interesting seeing some sort of continuation/evolution of Naruto, like he has Naruto as his dad but also Hyuuga in his lineage and he is not considered a drop out like Naruto but he can remind you of him a little as well. Sasuke is his mentor.

that goes for most of the new gen fans.

If sarada wasn't uchiha, I doubt people would care for her character, Same goes for boruto and being an uzumaki/hyuga

I get the feeling you only like Boruto because he is the main character. Naruto chasing after Sasuke was kinda annoying but its also understanding for someone like him because of the reasons. Its still far better act trying to save a friend who fell into darkness and yelling how is gonna be the best Hokage ever then annoying little brat who thinks he is better then anyone. And dont even compare him to Naruto because Naruto knew how others felt and their pain unlike this cocky little brat

Nope if Sarada was as useless and whiny as SAKURa part 1 then I would dislike her and be ranting

To me personally naruto was just a normal hero story. Boruto possibly f cks his whole life up, he’s a brat, and he’s probably the catalyst for the state of konoha in the time skip. THATS awesome, that’s some shit I wanna see. Fallible good guys, people that make horrible mistakes, stuff like that. I WANNA see him falter on his beliefs and the things he knows, it shows a wholly human side to the character(if it plays out that way) it’s just more interesting that way. Naruto was naruto and he was always gonna be that way and never give up. Even when he should he never waivers or falters, great to keep his theme going, not so interesting to watch. Remember, this is all my own opinion on the 2 here

Because his character and its development has ridiculous potential. I realized that when we saw in ten chapters him going from this....

Boruto grows. He learns, he develops. Its more than you can say for almost everyone of the new generation so far. Maybe that's because he's hogging the spotlight, but the way they're doing it, I have no problem with it. We get to see him going from an entitled brat to a competent Shinobi, and it all makes me all the more anxious to see the person Boruto becomes once he's gone through it all, especially since we've got a lot to look forward to judging from the glimpse we got on that.

Well stated. ^This pretty sums it up for me as well. I don’t really care for his personality at present but, that being said, I also know that the current Boruto isn’t going to be the same one we were introduced to as a teen. The road to that Boruto is what interests me the most about him.

What is there to not like about him? He’s got the swag jacket, the swag pants. Does many swaggy rasengans with lightening tricks. Boruto makes you wanna enter the Taco Bell to get you a burito. This man is the perfect wrap of swag and taste all in one. You can’t ask for better than this.

I like him cozz he is better than Salada

Best reason thus far.

Because they are silly, they believe he is an improved version of naruto when infact hes a hollowed out version of him

He is not a improved version of Naruto. Naruto was something more than a shadow clone and rasengan. He was a iconic character who inspired people every time he had a big battle. I don’t see Boruto doing that with his character archtype. Not into the whole prodigy jazz. Prefer the dumb stupid characters who make it big instead.

1. He's a nice and friendly guy.

2. His arsenal of techniques is nice and diverse, unlike what his father's was as a kid.

3. His fate is so mysterious and interesting. Why is Boruto's eye the key that will light the shadows (or something to that effect)? What exactly does Toneri see in Boruto's future? How/Why will Boruto's blue eyes take everything away from him? What did Momoshiki see in Boruto's future? What powers does the jougan have? What powers does the seal have? What is Boruto's role/connection to the Otsutsuki, to Kara, to the age of shinobi being over, to Naruto's potential death, to the destruction of Konoha, to Kawaki, etc...?
