We all know that Hagoromo had defeated Kaguya using a technique that’s unique to the Rinnegan (and arguably the Tenseigan) which is the Chibaku Tensei. Now, in the anime (I know but bare with me), Gamamaru had told Hagoromo that if he had learned Sage mode, he’d be more than a match for his mother. Now at that time it’s important to note that Hagoromo only had the sharingan. After Hagoromo killed Hamura and resurrected him, he awakened the Rinnegan and fought alongside Hamura to take down Kaguya.
With all that being said, Hagoromo had freshly awakened his Rinnegan and had to learn to use his new eye’s abilities just as Sasuke had to play around with his. It’s safe to say that a skilled Hagoromo would’ve taken down Kaguya by himself (yeah, no sh*t. His power alone allowed Naruto and Sasuke to do it). So what did Hamura actually contribute to the battle and how weak is he? It’s true that he possess a Kekkei Mora Byakugan and six paths senjutsu (somehow, idk) but I don’t believe for a second that even if he had mastered sage mode, that he’d be able to defeat Kaguya. And I use “defeat” loosely. Be it sealing her or destroying her Momoshiki style (which I believe Hagoromo can).
What do you guys think?
