50% of it was, like sakura vs shin...etc none of that happened in the manga one shot. sp just added extra stuff in to make it longer, which is called filler.

Well shojoji arc wasn't that good not my fault

 

[The Paradox]

It's the fact that everything has started off so carefree and nearly mundane that will make the main plot even better. Everyone is hyped about Jougan, the seals, the 3rd Otsutsuki, Kara, Kawaki, and maybe even the whole direction of Team 7 and where they'll end up going with their powers that have 1) either already have been shown or 2) have been foreshadowed.. that everyone will come back and maybe even be forced to watch the episodes they skipped over so they can get more context. I know I did that when things got stale here and there in Naruto's era.

Also, I get it. I also really want to see the main plot really take shape in the anime (it's just starting in the manga finally).. but at the same time it's kind of nice to see them grow up from practically the start. It lets you understand the characters a lot more and will make later events have a larger impact. I feel like the chunin exam would have had a larger impact on the audience had we known more about K11 back in part 1. I didn't care about the other characters and if they passed, failed, got injured, or died. My only focus was on Naruto and Sasuke for most of it.. aside from the cool and flashy fights some of the other characters were able to bring to the table.. I would have never given the other characters another glance until I was forced to.

It seems like people here are sleeping on Ao which is a shame because we are entering the unknown territory of the manga where we are finally start breaking through the surface. The main plot starts to advance where it actually matter and for the first time in a long while we are encountering a danger who were introduced as kara like Ao who can potentially become a great villain with how much of a threat and menacing he was that actually brought high level of tension in the story.

The anime has done nothing relavant to the main plot and it has become far less thrilling as time passed by; each arc ended up in disappointment. I've always been the person to advocate side characters and to explore the lore around them and yet the building stage have been dragged on for long enough and I'm done through waiting.
