In those arcs, the other characters at least had a chance to shine and get developed unlike how it is in the manga.
Also the fights in the anime so far are>>>than the manga.

Boruto and Mitsuki vs Shizuma >>>Boruto vs Shojoji yes but come on the ao fight was really well done. It looks like a seeious struggle and someone actually died. Ao is also not a random guy he’s a member of KARA who have relation to Otsutsuki. And all the stuff with the vessel is very suspenseful . In every media manga>>>>anime . Granted i never said sumiee mist and byakauya arcs are bad it’s just they’re not that important

NOT really. I still like the anime what changed now is the content in the manga it’s way better now. Remember i used to hate the manga when shojoji arc was going on

Uhm....being connected to the main villain(s) or whatever doesn't make a fight any special. It was just terrible.
Sarada & Mitsuki were USELESS.
The reflexes and speed during that fight was really dissapointing for every single one of them, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Also, killing somebody in a fight doesn't make the whole fight amazing, the actual combat was bad.
Even Mitsuki Vs Sumire was better:kk:

Since the last chapter I've began to appreciate the anime a lot more minus Boruto's excessively fillerish character.

How is he fillerish? Before the anime came about, our only real source of development for Boruto was the movie (the manga was still in the rehash, so that is still the movie). One movie is just one instance. If anything, his behavior in the movie was an exception rather than the rule, since a collection of over 40 anime episodes​ depicts his character over a longer period of time than the events of one movie (which only depicted his character over a few days).

Longer period of time = general personality/character
Few days = single instance/very little development

In short, if anything was fillerish, it would be the movie.
Anime > movie in terms of depicting Boruto's general character.

True! And tbh, if they wanted to make it hype all they'd have to do was give us more Naruto/ Sasuke or the old gen. I like the episodes but It is a little annoying that nothing is shaking. And they keep doing the bs parallels ig (Like haku and this new kid) RECYCLED. Hopefully they announce the exams in the anime soon. 3 weeks maybe?
