So we have weeded our all of the unworthy characters and this is what it comes down to! The two strongest characters in One Piece fight for the title of Pirate King!

Who will take it?! Shanks or Dragon?!

REMEMBER:
1-discussion about match ups is encouraged!

2-characters will have 24 hours to tally votes!

3-After the 24 hours are up in the case of a tie, the next vote wins! (For anyone who waits to be the tie breaker I will obstain my vote to break the tie if need be)

4-characters should be judged based on whatever the majority decides. For instance if you beleive weevils hype is enough to beat his opponent and the majority agrees with you then that is the answer. If everyone decides to use pre time skip luffy then that is the decision of the majority! So with that said, no opinion is too far out there!

For the ocean bit they were all too busy to see his ship coming into MF, or at least that's what I chalk that up to. As for running up on Akainu, well we know his crew is fast look at Lucky Roo back at Romance Dawn no one even saw him move until he pulled the trigger and Ben got the drop on Kizaru at MF(iirc). I've heard the ideas and do like them but as for now I don't think we can say Shanks actually stops time until we see it.

Characters appearing out of nowhere to save someone's life in the nick of time is so common in like, every anime. Luffy did it, Goku did it, Naruto did it, Saitama did it and now Shanks. It's not that big a deal.

This would be a real monster battle. I think whoever wins It'll be "victory" with big losses (permanent damage). If I had to have a guess I'd have to give it to Monkey D Dragon EXTREME dif.

The reason for this is simply because of the title. Shanks is a Yonko, however, there are 3 other Yonkos along with him currently. He has not distanced himself from the world to the point where he is the MOST wanted man, not only by the marines but the whole government.I can't see Dragon being below Yonko level, considering:
1.His father was equal to Roger
2.He is the father of the next PK and the main character
3.It makes no sense to introduce him so late and have him be weak
4.He is the world's most wanted man, it's not as if he hides at all times, he has shown up in many places in the flesh. If Marines could just kill him or imprison him, I think they would by now. The problem is that it's not possible.

But like I said Shanks is no pushover.

I feel we're in for a surprise once Oda showcases Dragons power among other things.

It was a tough choice, but I'm going with Dragon.

Exactly what I'm saying. I won't doubt if Dragon is "Yonko Level", but even if he is, how do we he'd be able to beat Shanks. We have little knowledge of what his abilities are or how he would be able to counter Shanks' abilities.

Kaido should've won his match with Shanks, after all, Shanks lost an arm to a sea monster, and BB just does everyone else - this is just wrong. BB is going to be the nexxt Pirate King, FACT!

I know that Shanks is incredibly strong. I don't know if Dragon is too.

In a match about who is the most dangerous I would vote Dragon. But I'm not sure about what Oda qualifies as dangerous. So for now I have to vote Shanks.

Don't you mean other fans of different manga that start reading One Piece ?

It makes no sense that a One Piece fan isn't well informed about the manga they're fan of compared to other manga.

Sabo is stronger than Yonkou commander level, that's called warlord of the sea level by the way. He's way stronger than Ace by 100 times and Ace is yonkou commander. He one shot an vice admiral (which Ace stalemated a captain) and he stalemated a Admiral while adjusting to his devil fruit powers.

Dragon's hype is unrealistic I know, but don't degrade Sabo's feats. He beat Jesus Burguess a First mate of BB's crew.
