Black Panther stomps at the box office and is only bested by The Avengers. If you don't understand why that's huge and how that 'not big 12%' played a role in this, I just can't talk to you.

worldwide. . . that's not just the 12%. If anything it's clear that it appeals to more than just the black demographic living in america. -_- u were not saying much to begin with.

Edit: And iron man 3 , and captain america civil war still sit above it in terms of money made. Not for long hopefully, but again i wouldn't attribute their overwhelming success to targeting white people. Since again, they done make up the entire world. Maybe idk the movie was good, and the ensemble cast drawed a lot of attention.

People showed up because of the cast and what the movie represents. The movie was literally about the 12% in the US and other black people in the world. That was a main plot point.

Even if we take away the world wide part, it still set huge records in the US and a major contributor was the 12% because of what the movie stood for.

that's where i disagree since movies that didn't do that, still sold more. Iron man 3, Captain america, and avengers isn't catering to black people yet sold more.

The major factor is that people have bought into the MCU and superhero movies (marvel ones at least) are what's in. When it's all said and done ppl will look at the MCU as a triumph since its the first and only series to ever pull something like this off.
