its not only life threatening they have said throughout the whole manga that he heals fast. my Q is not if he will heal his ankle it if the fox will do it or will naruto seeing as the fox no longer has control over his own chakra

to answer the question we need to find out weather the kyuubis chakra still heals naruto automatically or not. that would determine how effectivelly naruto woould be healed/revived during/after the use of the 8 gates. personally i dont think he needs to use the 8 gates since hes completely mastered sage mode. plus he just might have permanent control over the kyuubis chakra without any risks. the 8 gates is an energy drink compared to these two abilities.

SM just throws in more mystery. SM is supposed to enhance your body, resilience strength speed etc. So would SM act as a cushion if he opened up the gates while it was active?

there would be no need to open up the gates while u r in sm, the power of the gates is highly unnecessary when you have another source of chakra, the gates enhance your own body and chakra, but when u got the kyuubi and sm u might as well thro the 8 gates out of your dictionary
