Its makes sense to sideline the 2 of them when you think about. One has an OP powerup that will make the fight short because he can singlehandely beat Ao or give him a run for his money and the other is a fodder who cant contribute to the fight(even admitted so in the chapter). Time for Boruto put those kenjustu skills to the test.

I don't think Rasengan is evident as your chakra color, unless their colors are blue. I think its just something stated, but most times characters wear their signature colors on their clothes.

First thing I doubt konaha best scientist will be killed this early on I think more so ao will die and I'm pretty sure he'll retreat.

As for boruto losing his chakra because of the sword maybe but he also has the jutsu absorption gauntlet so even if that seal thing happens again he won't be totally helpless especially if konahamaru is with him.

Ao won't die in this fight. He'll be the first to witness Boruto Curse Seal and report it to Kara. Not to mention, Ao is much more valuable to the story than he ever was before since he was the former of the Right Hand man of the Mizukage which pretty much align with Boruto Goal. Moreover, the Byakugan he stole have connection to the Hyuga Heritage which might play important factor to Boruto life.

It depends how much Katasuke contribute to the plot however we already had his moment in the previous arc which is a league way to the current arc. Kodachi puts alot of time on Katasuke character and the technology so it's likely he will die in the near future to give him the end conclusion.
