Though it could be extended for 22 as well, considering the snails pace.
------------
Boruto will expend all of his chakra just like he did in the fight against fatass (they specifically referenced the lightsaber as being chakra inefficient for a reason), the seal will prevent him from molding his chakra, Ao will kill Katasuke seeing as he's now been rendered defenseless, and Boruto's sheer anger/hate towards Ao will push his body past its limits, forcing open the seal and unveiling its true power finally.

I had the same thoughts, more or less, but I wanted to give him credit for sparking the thread idea.

Alright going back to Boruto's initial activation, let's talk about how the seal activated (in my opinion):
- Boruto used the shadow clone technique twice vs. Shojoji + Goons:
- Boruto applied lightning to his shuriken jutsu:
- Boruto used the Rasengan five times:
So the general understanding of this match is that Boruto was utilizing his Rasengan to the point where his reserves hit a small point. Although he wasn't physically disturbed, it was only until after the fifth Rasengan where we saw Boruto's seal activate for the first time.
I think its safe to assume that Boruto's seal activated due to his chakra reserves going low, right? I mean there wasn't any other physical drawback other than him using chakra, and its not like he had an emotional trigger either.
So let's go back to the current events, we know that Boruto and co. are going to fight Ao again. Now the idea is that Boruto's seal will force itself to activate again, either by him expending his chakra again, or possibly an emotional trigger (what if someone died, as in someone he cares about -- Katasuke for example, whom he has just forgiven).
Now to the former, this is how Boruto is going to expend his chakra resources again:
Boom.
