I don't think he will die. Katasuke is the main proponent of the scientific ninja tools research, which is currently exclusive to Konoha. Seeing as the enemy now has equally advanced tech (due to info from Katasuke himself), Katasuke will be needed to help keep the Leaf Village ahead of the technological curve.

Just like sumire...he will not be missed.

Katasuke can appear in every chapter, if he wanted to, he'd still not be missed. If he died, people woulda saw it coming...just right now, I think it might be a little too early, maybe.

I think he will die. Maybe not so soon, maybe in the next chapter.. who knows. All I know is that the dude will die in this. I feel the only thing keeping him relevant is the ninja tech. However, he has the assistant we saw and Sumire that is being trained as a scientist... so plot wise, I feel like him dying will invoke a change within Boruto and also give Sumire a chance to be relevant again.

How would Katasuke's death confirm Sarada's 2 tomoe and 3 tomoe? Sarada has no attachment or emotional connection or history with Katasuke. Boruto is the one that has history​ and connection to Katasuke.

You're the second person who I have seen make the analogy between Boruto and Gohan.

I however see no resemblance​ whatsoever between Boruto and Gohan and the way their powers/characters/inspirations work.
