I honestly hope he does. If he dies, Sarada 2/3T confirmed. That's the reason why I'm thinking she'll stay to fight Ao.

If Katasuke dies, Sumire might turn into a important character to the plot. Katasuke dies > Sumire, his student, inherits his job.
