God is a system that was created in the ancient time to control people. IT's an ancient tool. Don't you see it? There are many gods. And each religion can't disprove the other. Born into it, and you'll be there to defend your beliefs to death. Until you realize. Did I believe in God? Yes I did. And why did I? because everyone else did. If God exists and He probably does, there would be no way to prove His existence, He is supposed to be beyond the human understanding of things, beyond human morals.etc etc which is why it is pointless to argue why does an Omnipotent God allow what we deem "evil".

as i said befor you have to find god on your own terms , umm i dont see god in the same light as some but try reading the book by Erich von Däniken "Chariots of the Gods" and some book by people like minded it may help you a bit more as it did me in term of coming to understand it better

I think it's interesting that Jews themselves don't believe in an eternal hell and the references to an eternal fire was an actual place called the valley of Gehenna where people burnt waste and sacrificed children to pagan gods

Why do people believe what they hear, even though there's literally no evidence? Example: someone tells me that they fought someone, I believe it and I become biased. Are people actually naturally gullible? The same can be said toward religion. There's no proof that a God exists, yet so many blind people are sheep. That's why these mega churches are making millions of untaxed money.

Believing some random stuff someone says about his daily life and believing in an ancient world religion that has influenced our society for centuries is something of a completely different magnitude. These are not comparable.

Secondly "believing what you hear" is time, place, theme and person bound. Why would you question something your best friend says during a common conversation? But if another person of who you know from past experiences lies quite a lot and says the same thing, you might doubt it. Or if something is so unlikely you might question it simply because it sounds so absurd. With other words this differs from situation to situation. Or what are you going to do, huh? You don't believe what the person says, so you ask the person who supposedly he fought with, but how do you know that person speaks the truth? Ask the hospital if they have records of treating the wounds of the people involved? Ask the police whether they have a records about these people disturbing the peace by fighting in public? But then how do you know all of these are real?

You make zero progress as no matter what you do, everything is uncertain. With other words you would be utterly paranoid, which makes it impossible to function properly.
