The way it's written it seems the translator is suggesting that name but based on the description name fits

Technically, he wasn't since he never got implemented into the movie/manga but now, he's gonna be canon in the anime or at least when it comes to the anime, he is.

Even if the anime implements him the manga didn't so the manga will need to reconcile that unless urashimas is part of a side story unrelated to main plot because we don't see him so far in anime either

That's not true. If you made Momoshiki a lot stronger and had him toy with Sasuke in the start rather than outright fighting him, Kinshiki could also be removed from the movie entirely. No telling how big this guy's role initially was.

If this guy is based on Urashimataro's legend, who was originally a fisherman, then yeah, a fishing rod would in fact make perfect sense.

He could always appear later on in the Manga's story.
