Personality: Consistent with his monk like appearance, he’s a calm and stoic individual, mature beyond his age due to his upbringing among the fire temple monks. He’s assertive but respectful towards his fellow humans. He likes to read books, write Haiku in his spare time, and enjoys creating Bonsais. He’s a gifted individual with a sharp intellect rivalling Nara Shikamaru

Background Info.
History: Kushan was born to a ninja couple who traces their roots to Konoha; outside the walls of Konoha, this was due to his father(A intelligence gathering and counter intelligence expert) been sent away on a long term deep undercover intelligence and counter intelligence mission in the Eastern border of the Fire country near the former Whirlpool country, on a top secret mission to counter and protect Konoha and the Fire country against Kirigakure and it’s intelligence corps. Newly married, his farther didn’t want to leave his new bride (Kushan’s mother) behind; hence decided to take her with him, with the approval of the village’s elders.
As time passed Kushan was born and maintaining the there cover his parents never told him of his roots. Kushan was led to believe he was a son of a local merchant and his wife, he was told that his father; a merchant from the border of the land of fire visited Konoha on business once and met his mother, they fell in love but her father objected, therefore they eloped and are living in secrecy, in fear of been found by his mothers family, who apparently were powerful ninja’s of Konoha. He was brought up in a restricted protective environment to prevent there status been compromised with unwanted exposure, Kushan however very unexpectedly liked this, and spent his time under the tutelage of his father who trained him in the arts and the way of a ninja, and further installed in his son his expertise in strategic and analytical thinking, intelligence gathering and counter intelligence. Kushan’s mother a gifted Kunoichi in her own right; developed and nurtured her son’s knowledge and education in academic skills of a ninja; they hoped that there son would continue in their foot steps and continue to serve his country and village once they’re gone; when the time comes. By now Kushan realised that his family is not what it seems, that there’s more to his fathers story; after all he was the son of a intelligence officer of Konoha.
When Kushan was 10 years of age, their family’s identity and status was discovered by one of their neighbour’s; who was a Kiri sympathiser. This person betrayed the family to the Kiri’s counter intelligence body. Kushan’s father expecting this would happen someday had measures in place to protect his child. He realised that his family has been compromised, true to his greatest fears; he took the necessary steps to protect his son by sending him to the fire country’s impenetrable fire temple which was closer than Konoha itself to his then location before Kushan left he was called to his farther’s office where he was told of his origins and his parent’s mission. Kushan as any son would want; he wanted to stay and fight, but his father’s orders were absolute he is to remain at the Fire temple until he himself can come to bring him back home. His parents blessed their child, knowing that this was their last stand for the land they loved; wishing that this would protect their son and the “will of fire” they entrusted to him will light brightly in the future, Kushan never saw his parents again.
At the fire temple, Kushan realised before long that his father would not come to fetch him he could only obey his father’s last wish and do as he was asked. Kushan’s disciplined mind saw a heaven where he could learn not only ninjutu, but the opportunity to further his scholarly ambitions, he spent the next 5 years of his life furthering the foundation his parents developed in him, his gifted nature and sharp intelligence served him well during this time. He was taught by the Ninja monk's including Chiriku himself. His passion for solitude saw him been saved during Hidan and Kakuzu’s attack on the fire temple which saw the death of most of his fellow monks including his Master Chiriku; when the battle erupted he was meditating high up in the mountains near the temple, when he saw the smokes from the direction and came to the aid of the temple it was all too late, the impregnable walls of the fire temple has been penetrated.
This massacre and reasons behind it convinced him that underground bounty hunting should be stopped at all costs, and he made it his personal duty to hunt and destroy collection centres in the Fire country, these travels within the country earned him the his title “the wondering monk”, these travels brought him close to his parents home and the place he was taught to love since he was a mere child Konoha; where he decided to stay on until his fate calls him on his next adventure
