For awhile now (including in recent threads), I have seen people blame Hagoromo for the curse of hatred, saying that it was his fault for playing favorites with Asura.

What the heck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????? Are you freaking serious!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????

Are you people who say this really saying that if your papa doesn't choose you for a leadership role over your sibling, then you have the right to try and kill that sibling and his descendants (and to continue doing so for 1000+ years)?!

Enlighten me. What else does this concept apply to? Does it apply to real life too? How about jobs? I seriously want to know this.
If I apply for a job and don't get it, do you think I should kill the guy who does get the job? Should I kill his kids too?

There was once this job at a parking garage that I didn't get. Do you guys recommend that I hunt that supervisor down and kill him? I know where he works after all. Perhaps I should just bomb the place? Give me some advice on this.

Why did Indra even need Ninshuu to begin with? So what if Hagoromo chose Asura? Why couldn't Indra just go his own way and do his own thing?

Please explain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. These sentiments do not apply to Madara or Sasuke. Just Indra himself.

Well some people like to sulk and hate till death. Indra could continue beyond death so it got worse. Why look far? People have made a habit of hating on some manga character and even after 3 years of manga ending continuing their hate mongering on next generation too. Some keep returning it with new lives aka alts to continue their missions day after day since 2011-12 for the same old bashing. So of course some can feel a connection with Indra too.

You want bigger real life examples? Take a look at Middle East.

I barely see people around justifying Indra's actions. Hagoromo was a bad father nevertheless and even more so a really bad written character.

For the power to control them all... i would be salty af if it all went to one person. Also indra was..i would guess was being influenced by BZ who made him the prick he is now.

You guys take this insignificant topic pretty seriously.

OT:Indra, epitomizes self-importance, jealousy, and sore loser-ness.A man that puts his ego, before the bigger picture...thinks the world revolves around him and his own selfish desires.Takes things personally.

Puts on a good show, but has poor mental development and handles disappointment or rejection in the most unadult manner. Has this "sense of entitlement", obviously. Ego-driven...with high self-expectations. It's sorry and pathetic.

Seeks power over peace.

BINGO! Hagoromo failed big time with his children, i mean didn't really guide his sons the way he should've but the icing on the cake is how he made them compete for his power when he knew Indra wasn't fit for it.

Hagoromo's character entails your typical brooding self-absorbed parent...just like his mom...

ugh...

Native Americans to Mexicans
Israelians to other Arab empire
Asians to other Asians such as North and South Korea

These things happen man. It’s not far fetched

That's the point, he was "salty" like any other person and Zetsu took advantage of that. His actions don't need justifying, people can't read.

Hagormo was a bad dad for not noticing Black Zetsu influencing his son, or investigating

Zetsu was the motivator in our world known as “religion.” Kishi made this brother conflict to reflect off real world events.

The ottoman empire had similar events . When the sultan chooses one of the brothers the other tries to kill him and his kids to become a sultan himself. This is real life long time ago. What indra did is kinda justified because it happens

There are same incidents in the bible. Jacob gave his youngest son a robe and various other ornaments, and thus joseph earned the hatred of his brothers, who ultimately concluded to kill him.
It happens.
Think about it, if your parent gives 99.9% of his wealth and land to your younger brother, what would you feel? Wouldnt you think your father didnt give you the respect of being the older sibling and just straight out showed partiality by giving a huge share of property to your younger sibling?

lol , this thread made me laugh.

But you are right, according to anime, Indra's action's were totally wrong lol...

About the quote, Indra should've have done this instead of trying to destroy the world just because he wasnt a successor

I barely see people around justifying Indra's actions. Hagoromo was a bad father nevertheless and even more so a really bad written character.

With all that knowledge Hagoromo wasnt really that smart and was a bad father... i just think Indra felt betrayed , but that wasnt the reason to try to destroy the world (lol this makes me laugh so much for some reason)

Also, Hagoromo should've just help Indra and tell him what was wrong and give me a lecture instead Indra felt betrayed and Hagoromo couldnt even see that...He even knew about sharingan and still did nothing about it but just watching things.... like wtf? It was also a Hagoromos fault not only Indra's.

On the side note - he even watched for all the decades Indra vs Ashura fights and still did nothing.
