He means that just because you know a few words from a language doesn't mean you know that language.

I was really interested in seeing everybody's answer, cause I consider that speaking at least another language is vital in our society, and the least I can say so far is that I'm impressed.

It's absolutely crazy to see that the average member on NB knows more then 2 languages. Some of you are complete freaks xd

Now I think I'm going to go back studying my Spanish...I'm ashamed to only be able to speak 2 languages :|

I speak french but I'm not from France.

English is my first but Je parle un peu le francais.
