Whether Neji failed to react or not is irrelevant, as this has no baring on Byakugan having precondition. To show how off this logic is, it is like claiming Sharingan doesn't have precondition just because Kakashi failed to predict Pains movements.

Ultimately, Byakugan is already said to have precognition as stated even further in the Bolt anime.

I agree that Byakugan precog isn't on par with Sharingan, but Neji got hit by daggers because it went into his blind spot, not because his precognition was lackluster as you're claiming. We even see Neji dodge dozens of daggers at a time, only failing to dodge ones he can't see. Like that was the whole point of the fight: Kidomaru exploiting Neji's blind spot. How did you miss that tbh?

VIZ scan says anticipate. And Bolt anime reconfirm that Byakugan has Precognition.
