The snakes are special. It could easily suppress juugo and suigetsu's water body easily. Suigetsu confirmed Sasuke could've killed them with the snakes if he wanted too. They're different from other snakes.

They made it appear that it was because he was hurt to kill a student but hiruzen never seemed to be a match for any of his students, he's all hype but only when compared to a genin or basic Jonin
Orochimaru probably would've wrecked him, he only really lost his arms because he was an. Arrogant prick and wanted to toy with his food, the edo's whereby nessecary because they weren't even impressive , they where just there to toy with his feelings.
The funny thing is he was more scared by Tsunades temper than he was when the reaper had his arms

You're kidding me.....most of his hype hasnt been proven but that doesnt change he was one of the most powerful shinobi in naruto according to various statements. I mean who can beat a man who uses more than 1000 illusions in a battle?

You are over hyping hiruzen and underestiamting the Sanin.
Orochimaru laughs at his genjutsu and his attack
Tsunade ignores them both
And even jiraiya isn't going for that

Hiruzen is a master of genjutsu in databook. His illusion wouldnt be broken easily. Not to mention someone like kisame who had a partner like samehada couldnt break kurenai's genjutsu, hiruzen knows that genjutsu, and has complete mastery over 1000 different illusions. Even a weak genjutsu can be extremely strong by the way you use it - Tobi. By these words, we can conclude that, hiruzen who has the highest intellect among all kage according to databook will cunningly employ the illusion in the most tricky manner and capitalize on the between the time lag they take to break it. They're not more durable than the shinju tree roots or Nine tails who got blown away from the leaf by enma.

That was reffering to the use of the reaper seal since that's what Hiruzen's trying to use on him. If Hiruzen had the reaper seal at that time then he could, if not then he would still likely lose.

Is the scan after Hiruzen used the reaper seal or before? I can't remember that's why I ask if Orochimaru says it after. If so then that's the proper context if not then your right.

VIZ made it clear that Orochimaru was talking about Hiruzen being able to finish the RDS, not defeating Orochimaru in a normal fight. Orochimaru was playing with Hiruzen and the only reason why he lost his arms was because he literally gave Hiruzen time to use RDS (Orochimaru didn't know what it was and was too curious not to see it in action).

I'm sure. Orochimaru didnt know about the existence of death reaper seal. Hiruzen said " I'll show you a jutsu which even you dont know".

Yes but when did Orochimaru make the statement about Hiruzen being able to kill him. I read up to the seal being used and Orochimaru hasn't said it yet. It's likely some point later towards the end.
