What would have occured if the Pein Attack on the village occured but all the characters were from their Boruto counterpart children included, would anything be different? Would the kids change anything?

This is the events before Naruto arrives so him and Sasuke ain’t there.

That version of Boruto is up against the guy who's supposed to have killed/trapped Naruto and has destroyed the village. I'd say that's a feat in itself. Don't let your obvious hate cloud your judgement.

OT. If Naruto and Sasuke aren't there Hanabi Hime is there so pain gets low diffed unless she's away on heiress business.
Without her Shikamaru, Sakura and Rock Lee would put up the best resistance. Boruto and the other kids lose low difficulty (Sarada maybe not she may awaken MS witnessing Boruto and the others get curb stomped). Hinata could always cook for him she may buy the others time to formulate a strategy to take down pain, somehow I don't see her being any help in combat.

But considering Tsunade had the courage to fight Madara keeping her cool ofc and not go Kamikaze on him and fail miserably. I'd say she at least has the courage to face Pein even if she isn't able to beat him.
