There is a statistic that since the Sandy Hook Massacre in 2012, we've had over 170,000 deaths from firearms. In those 5 years, we've had more deaths than the total amount of U.S. soldiers that died in the entirety of the Vietnam War.

That's an incredibly telling number and we're the only major country in the world where mass shootings happen on a regular basis. Something like this can almost be categorized as an epidemic.
