Personally I could care less about the NFL and whatever protest the players are trying to show. Don't care if someone doesn't want to stand up during the pledge, cause most of the people who are upset don't anyways while they sit on the couch.
But I can understand why people are choosing to boycott the NFL. People are getting sick and tried of everything involving politics or some shows pushing support over a bs protest,political opinion,etc that's one sided. Expecting people to support it and if you don't then you're automatically a racist,white supremacist,koon,etc.
And just like the players has a right to kneel in front of viewers, the people have the right to stop giving them money. This goes for both sides though.

I find it to be disrespectful. It's disrespectful to every American in American history, past, present, and future. There's no need to protest the pledge, because the issues have nothing to do with the country at large. Poor parts of the world, people would wish they live in America because of the ideals America stands for and the flag is a representation of those ideals.

For most people,that may be true that they are using the national anthem as an excuse not to listen. Even though they may know what the protest is about but refuse to accept it.
Or they refuse to listen because the media and the supporters are claiming anyone who doesn't support it is automatically a racist /white supremacist,koon,Uncle Tom,etc. First it was racist to support the NFL and now it's racist to not support the NFL/players. People are getting tired of celebrities and athletes trying to force politics or propaganda onto others. People watch sports to take a break from the everyday nonsense that is politics.

But there are people (a few of which I know who had served in the military) legitimately upset over those players disrespecting the flag to push a protest , when they can do it after the national anthem or on their own time.
