The issue with the Uchiha submitting to the Senju was the fact that Izuna was wounded and Madara did not come to the battlefield with the rest of his brethren like Hashirama and Tobirama did. Hashirama and Tobirama are like the two star players of a fairly decent basketball team who carried the entire team to success.

Dunno about that, hashirama overpowered oro's edo tensei control thru sheer will. It took ka just to break itachi free. No other shinobi could do such a feat. It's possibly the reason madz couldn't one shot with genjutsu.

Madara doesn't really use genjutsu in combat for some reason. So there's no overpowering the genjutsu. Orochimaru at that time wasn't on Kabuto's level.

Obviously referring to when sasuke brought back oro who was enhanced by zetsu/hashi cells. If he can break loose while itachi needed genjutsu. He could probably do the same with most genjutsu

Genjutsu don't fall in the same realms as Edo sensei they fall into a totally different category so nobody knows unless it was used on Hashirama. Zetsu is like fodder compared to Kabuto even if he's composed of Hashi like cells.

Yes we do Edo Tensei isn't a genjutsu and I agree we don't know whether genjutsu was used or not against him. What we do know is that Madara doesn't really use jutsu in combat he hasn't used it against anybody I can think of.

With Naruto and Sasuke, it comes down to a previous fight Naruto had and facts everyone knows about Chidori/Raikiri.

Now, Naruto has Rasengan vs Chidori clashed with Sasuke 2x in VOTE1, once at the 5 Kage Summit bridge, and during VOTE2 with Kurama/Susanno avatars. So instead of doing what he did against the 3rd Raikage and winning the fighting and killing Sasuke. Naruto does this.

Sasuke was out for blood in VOTE2 and didn't kill Naruto because he couldn't. Naruto played defense much VOTE2 and didn't kill Sasuke because he didn't want to.
As for Indra and Ashura, I don't think Black Zetsu could've manipulated the Uchiha for millennia if the Indra had won against his brother. From what BZ said, he kept exploiting the Uchiha because none of them got close to overthrowing Ashura's descendants/the Senju until Madara.
