Akainu would easily shit on Big mom. His power is an absolute while hers, vary, in other words isnt an absolute. Akainu piles the terrain + horizon with magma and pushes her into the lake killing her by heating the lake with his haki.

Akainu is certainly powerful I won't deny that but Devil Fruit alone is not the only deciding factor in a fight between top tiers. Outside of her DF Big Mom possesses immense physical strength and durability comparable to Whitebeard and is a very strong haki user to add to that. She casually blocked Luffy's Kong Gun with her forearm (+haki), the same Kong Gun that sent doflamingo catapulting across Dressrosa, the same Kong Gun that was smashing up Cracker's biscuit soldiers like wet napkin. She blocked that with her forearm.

Not to mention a lot of people overlook the fact that she could one-hit kill opponents by swiping out their souls in a single swing like she did Mascoto, instant death. I'm not saying she could easily one-shot Akainu but if Big Mom ever got a hold of him, like Whitebeard, well to put it simply, he dies.

"Well how would she counter Akainu's magma?" Well...1) Haki 2) Perhaps she could bring his magma to life so not to attack her, like she did with the ocean and her other homies, though I'm not 100% sure how this ability would interact with Akainu's but I wouldn't doubt it were possible.

Actually Big mom can't takes someone's soul that isn't scared of her, as seen with jimbei and I'm positive Akainu won't be scared of her. And even if df isn't everything. Akainu has showed the best haki resistance in the entire series, tanking two haki gura punches and more all the while killing Rogers son and being the only person to break luffys will 100%.

And Big mom put her soul in her daughters df ability which is a paramecia .. If Akainu is lava than his soul would exist in it as well right? So no big mom can put her soul in any Logia abilities but she can paramecia and I'm netting that's only if they let her
