'' Galahad was the Light. I am the Dark. ''
NICKNAME The Darkness / First of the Fallen
GENDER Female
DATE OF BIRTH April 30
AGE 688
CLAN Surgebinder
ALIGNMENT Chaotic Neutral / Fallen
APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY

Amara’s appearance is remarkably beautiful; she possesses long, wavy dark brown hair and has fair skin with black nails. She is roughly 5’8” and typically wears a long black dress with a v-neck, exposing the Insignia of Duality which is attached below her collar bone. Her eyes are a deep, dark brown.
Amara, after being unsealed, can only be described as a cold, destructive, and amoral force bent on bringing her brother suffering. She cares little for those around her, including her own Surgebinder companions. Justice, injustice, good, and evil, all carry little importance to her in the grand vision of existence. She is extremely focused on capturing Galahad and sealing him within the Seal of Light so he can experience the same agony that she did. When confronted by Radiants Amara finds their existence laughable, seeing them as mere tools, soldiers, and pawns of her brother's grand lie and feels that they can be brushed aside with ease. In certain instances against Radiants which see views as corruptible Amara will seduce them toward the path of the Fallen in order to wrought more chaos within the Order.
Prior to her imprisonment at the hands of Galahad, Amara’s youth was unlike most others. As a child she frequently isolated herself from friends and family finding their presence to be a nuisance. She always preferred to be alone, finding comfort in silence and darkness. The only exception to these qualities was her brother, Galahad. To Galahad she was a young and loving sister and perhaps the only one whom she didn’t isolate herself from, frequently reaching out to him for guidance during her youth. Amara’s amorality and indifference developed from a young age; she cared little about her mother’s suicide and even less when her father was exiled. Amara was also very fascinated by the struggle and burden of humanity.

MYSTIC FIRE RELEASE MASTERY Unique to Amara is her mastery over the unique elemental nature Mystic Fire, or Shiraton. Formed from the combination of her Fire and Lightning elemental natures and controlled through her mastery of Fūinjutsu. Mystic Fire Release is an inherently disruptive elemental nature capable of taking on many forms ranging from plasma based energy to normal flames. Mystic Fire's strongest characteristic is its absolute neutrality against all techniques; this includes sealing and absorptive techniques which require to be equivalent in rank to Mystic Fire in order to seal away this rebellious element. Amara's flames generally seal their light causing them to appear as an absolute darkness, very much like the black flames of Amaterasu. Amara is able to utilize Mystic Fire-based techniques with a single hand seal. | MAWSCAPE RELEASE MASTERY Amara’s secondary elemental affinity is her mastery over Mawscape Release. Mawscape is a unique metallic elemental nature formed from the combination of one’s own Earth and Fire chakras. Mawscape’s most notable quality is its ability to absorb all radiation, including light on the visible spectrum, causing the metal to appear as entirely black. Because of the lack of coloration Mawscape, regardless of its form, will always appear as a static two dimensional construct almost like a void or a cosmic black hole. |
NATURE TRANSFORMATIONS Aside from her mastery over both her Mystic Fire and Mawscape elements Amara has also mastered the basic five elemental nature transformations; a rare feat among her peers. While she prefers to not use them, Amara's favorite is Fire Release. From a young age Amara displayed remarkable control over the nature, which extended toward her mastery over Mystic Fire Release. Amara has also mastered the Pillars of Creation, a technique created to imbue her energy-based techniques with Mystic Fire. Through the technique Amara can passively infuse and alter her energy-based natures, causing the coloration of these techniques to appear black, although this occurs at will and can be altered to fit other colors. Before the collapse of Camelot Amara learned of her third unique nature transformation: Force Release. Having studied the element under Merlin it combines her Earth, Fire, and Lightning natures to form Force. Through it she becomes able to generate and manipulate Gravitons, mass-less particles which control the forces of gravity. Because of her mastery over the element Amara is capable of acute motion sensory of her own body and objects around her within mid-range. Additionally, she is also able to move her body much like a gyroscope; this allows her to spin and revolve in mid-air to create extremely fluid body movements which require no substantial force behind them. It forms a style of fighting which is elegant and fluid in close quarters, although this is rarely shown by her. |
Weapons of the Darkness
(Shiraton: Sōzō no Hashira) – Mystic Fire Release: Pillars of Creation
(Senzō Kigen) – The First Blade
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B – S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A (+10/20/40 chakra cost to applied technique)
Damage: N/A
Description: Pillars of Creation is considered the ultimate infusion technique utilized in conjunction with energy-based elemental natures (Fire, Lightning, Explosion, etc) as well as barrier Fūinjutsu. As a technique based around the principles of infusion it occurs instantaneously and can be used within the same timeframe as the technique it is applied to. Typically techniques of this category involves an infusion of chakra, in many cases of the same nature, to change numerous aspects of the technique. These can range from a shift in strengths and weaknesses, additional strength, different states and forms, and new and unique effects. This could be compared to ratios and the effects that chakra can have on a technique; the more chakra utilized the greater the changes. As such Pillars of Creation utilizes three separate levels of infusion, each becoming progressively greater. Unique to this technique is that it can be stated in one’s biography to allow for the passive infusion of the user’s energy-based techniques, listed above, causing their coloration to shift in accordance to Mystic Fire’s unique colors. As a passive occurrence this application does not require any chakra and is simply a cosmetic ability of Pillars of Creation. The infusions are as followed:
The First Pillar: This is the B-Rank application of Pillars of Creation and utilizes an infusion of ten chakra. As the simplest infusion this technique causes the effected energy-based technique to gain Mystic Fire’s quality of absolute neutrality. For example, when used on a Fire technique, the applied technique will effectively shed its strengths and weaknesses becoming neutral to all elemental natures. Additionally, this infusion causes the applied technique to gain Mystic Fire’s specialized interactions with sealing/absorptive-based techniques. When an S-Rank Lightning technique is infused with the First Pillar, for example, it will, in addition to gaining the neutrality of Mystic Fire, will also only be able to be sealed or absorbed by a technique of equivalent rank (meaning the rank of the seal or absorbing technique itself, not the rank of what it can seal, must be equivalent). Additionally, the First Pillar cannot be infused on channeling-based energy techniques (e.g. streams of fire).
The Second Pillar: This is the A-Rank application of Pillars of Creation and utilizes an infusion of twenty chakra. The Second Pillar, unlike the first, employs the ability to not only infuse an energy-based technique with Mystic Fire chakra but to convert it to the nature entirely; this effectively converts any energy-based nature, or barrier Fūinjutsu, into Mystic Fire. Because the technique is effectively transformed it will change its inherent color into any color allowed by Mystic Fire Release, namely any color on the visible spectrum while being able to become absolute black, like the flames of Amaterasu. Techniques which radiate heat, like Fire Release, will lose those qualities due to their inherent sealing nature. Additionally, these techniques will gain an additional rank in strength, or twenty additional damage for techniques above S-Rank. The Second Pillar can be used on any number of A-Rank and below techniques but it can only be used four times per battle on S-Rank and above techniques. It also cannot be used in consecutive turns.
The Third Pillar: This is the S-Rank application of Pillars of Creation and utilizes an infusion of forty chakra. Unlike the previous two pillars this Third Pillar only incorporates techniques which employ a partial or fullbody elemental transformation, much like the Hozuki, and must be energy-based in nature. This technique, through an enormous flooding of Mystic Fire chakra, converts any energy-based elemental transformation to become purely Mystic Fire based, while retaining its original abilities and qualities. For example, should a Bakuton based elemental transformation be converted to Mystic Fire it will retain its default explosive qualities while obtaining all qualities of Mystic Fire Release. Additionally, as long as the elemental transformation utilized allows for Fire and Lightning natures to be accessed, the user will still be able to mold chakra for techniques based on the original elemental transformation, even after conversion. The Third Pillar, like the Second, also enhances the applied transformation by an additional rank in strength, or twenty additional damage for techniques above S-Rank. The Third Pillar can be used twice per battle, requiring a two turn cooldown in between uses.

Type: Weapon
Rank: S

Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: The First Blade is a long tripled-edged dagger with a triangle shaped cross-section. The hilt of the blade is composed of a pure silver-colored metal while the blade itself is composed of Mawscape, a metallic substance capable of absorbing all light and radiation giving it an appearance of pure darkness. When the blade was forged it was infused with Mystic Fire chakra granting it properties of Shiraton. The blade is paired with the Mark of Cain; created through Fūinjutsu the Mark acts as the vessel for the First Blade, based on the Lightning Blade Creation technique. The Mark of Cain is located on the user’s upper forearm. The Mark of Cain is bound to the user entirely; this prevents it from being removed in any way from the user’s body. The Mark of Cain constitutes the first basic ability of the First Blade; by default the First Blade in a sealed state within the Mark. Through a mental command the user can passively unseal the First Blade from the Mark allowing it to appear in a light black mist in their hand. Likewise the Mark of Cain can passively seal the First Blade, enabling one to recall the Blade in order to protect it or return it to its sealed state regardless of location. The second basic ability is endowed by its composition as a weapon of Mawscape. It passively absorbs all light and radiation, including the natural light of the surroundings in even the darkest locations. It then seals this light and radaiation within it. The energy increases the temperature of the blade increasing its cutting potential; although remaining inert to the user. The sealed light and radiation empowers the user’s Mystic Fire and Fūinjutsu by unsealing the energy into the user’s techniques. Mystic Fire’s sealed heat energy increases. The user’s Fūinjutsu techniques are also passively infused with this energy and Mystic Fire chakra; this empowers them and passively changes their coloration to fit Mystic Fire Release. This increased potency translates to an increase of one rank in strength, or twenty damage, up to and including A-Rank. S-Rank and above techniques gain an increase of twenty additional damage. This is not without restriction; Fūinjutsu which restrict an opponent’s ability to use a certain rank and/or type of techniques are not empowered by this passive skill.
Angelic Smiting (Tenshi Utsu): Angelic Smiting is the first active ability and is used in two distinct applications. Both revolve around the First Blade’s ability to absorb light and use the luminescent energy to power the blade. The first application, largely cosmetic, is performed when the user nonlethally cuts or slices their target. When slicing through flesh the First Blade releases painful, but nonlethal, bright white Mystic Fire. This Mystic Fire momentarily fills the wound which the blade creates and burns it from within. This first application is typically used as a means of torture to inflict significant pain in small and insignificant wounds created by the blade. The second application, following the same principle, is used when performing deep piercing blows against the target. Once struck the First Blade releases a pulse of bright white Mystic Fire and immolates a target from within, a devastating and lethal blow. Because of the intensity of the pulse the targets’ eyes will rupture and burn with the flames. Both applications can only be applied to living targets. The first application is passive and largely cosmetic. The second application is considered an A-Rank pulse of Mystic Fire.
Luminescence Absorption (Hakkō Kyūshū): Luminescence Absorption is the second active ability of the First Blade; it is based on the blade’s ability to consume light and radiation and seal it within. This ability constitutes an empowered variant of the aforementioned skill and opens a figurative ‘gate’ within the First Blade allowing for a greater rate of absorption. This absorption allows the user to seal energy-based techniques respecting Mawscape’s strengths and weaknesses. This technique is capable of absorbing and sealing S-Rank energy-based elements that Mawscape is strong to and A-Ranks for neutrals. Visually the energy will be funneled into the top and sides of the blade as it is sealed. This counts as an A-Rank technique. Chakra absorbed from these techniques is sealed within the blade and then granted to the user’s reserves. Luminescence Absorption can be used once every four turns.
Whispers in the Dark (Sasayaki Kurayami): This is the third active ability of the First Blade. This is based on the Multiple Infinite Embraces and uses its ability to manifest itself on its target to exert influence. Using the Embraces’s ability to exert pressure to restrict movement, Whispers uses pressure to restrict movement while also pushing targets. Whispers, unlike the Embraces’s, create flat barriers which are composed of Mystic Fire chakra allowing for a wide range of coloration. These can exert pressure in a near infinite number of ways depending on their positioning and angle. One can create a barrier in front of a target and push them in the opposite direction or against another surface, like a wall. Or one can create a barrier above a target and push them toward the ground, appearing as if the target is bowing. Barriers can be used to throw matter-based targets, including techniques, off course. Should an opponent charge at the user they can be thrown off to the side by a barrier created adjacent to them. Whispers are not absolute; while it restrains free movement and pushes targets it can be resisted and broken. The strength is directly related to its created rank, between C and S-Rank. The pressure can be resisted through physical enhanced strength or the barriers can be shattered with equal or higher ranked Ninjutsu. C-Rank barriers can exert minimal pressure; being used to pin targets against a surface or having them bow. B-Rank barriers exert moderate strength pushing targets linearly by five meters in the opposite direction. A-Rank barriers exert potent strength throwing targets in a linear direction by ten meters. S-Rank barriers exert extreme pressure and can launch targets up to twenty meters from its position. The pressure does not hold any potential damage alone; thus even when pinned by the S-Rank barrier it does not break bones or crush targets to death. The barriers, sustained by the user passively, allow the user to perform other tasks simultaneously but only one can be active at any given time. These barriers can be dispelled at the user’s volition. C and B-Rank applications can be used an infinite number of times but require a three turn cooldown between applications. A-Rank applications can be used thrice per battle with a two turn application between usages. S-Rank applications can be used twice per battle with a four turn application between usages. The barriers are created through hand gestures or swings of the First Blade. The barriers are created through hand gestures or swings of the First Blade.

FUINJUTSU Amara’s body is adorned with seals and sigils which supplement her defenses. On the back of her left hand she possesses the Command Seal. On her clothing she possesses a seal with the Kanji for "Armor" as well as the Kanji for “Eternal” on her back. Amara’s most important seal, the Insignia of Duality, is placed beneath her collar bone. It is the mark used to seal her away by her brother. All of these seals are reinforced with an infusion of Fire chakra to supplement their defenses (via Scripture of the Templars). Amara is a notable Fūinjutsu specialist preferring it over basic elemental natures in many circumstances. She is also the bearer of Jewel, the Akatsuki ring. It empowers her skill over Fūinjutsu. Amara has also mastered Namikazeron, a sealing assisted close quarters style of combat. She is able to use Namikazerian techniques at half their chakra cost. | SHADOW'S INVOCATION Amara possesses an innate skill and mastery over Prana. As the first to be inducted into the Order she is ranked as a Divine Spirit and has mastered all four Surges. When she was exposed to Prana her body altered in such a way that it became an "open doorway" for Prana energy. Amara named this trait Shadow's Invocation. This causes Prana to constantly exist within Amara's body; any foreign chakra or energy inserted into her body will immediately be transported to the Throne. However, because of this, Amara is unable to obtain and Curse Mark or utilize Sage Mode. It also becomes impossible for others to heal Amara with Medical Ninjutsu or utilize the Chakra Transfer. Any ally or opponent who attempts to absorb or consume her chakra will instead absorb this ambient Prana energy and be frozen internally. As a Heroic Spirit Amara's Prana is black in color, matching her Mystic Fire nature. As of present day, Amara's soul is fused with the Holy Grail; because of this, Amara is amortal. She does not age, but can still be killed through normal means. |

Type: Offensive, Defensive, Supplementary
Rank: D – S
Range: Short – Long
Chakra: 10 – 40 (-10 per turn)
Damage: 20 – 80
Description: This technique encompasses the flame-like, wispy, energy base of Mystic Fire Release and allows the user to concentrate chakra in an area, whether it is from their body, through the ground, or even in the air. In the case of the flames being produced from the air they are unable to be created within short-range of the opponent, unless the user is within short-range as well. Flames produced from the ground possess an audible queue giving slight warning to the target should they emerge from beneath them. These flames can be manipulated to a high degree allowing the user to produce a wide variety of constructs and shapes, generally limited by their own imagination. Alternatively Primordial Creation can also be used to create simple streams, fireballs, blasts, and waves of flame. These flames can be, at the user’s volition, concentrated to effectively solidify allowing them to punch through physical obstacles and cause explosive damage. The flames of Mystic Fire by default adhere to the violet spectrum but can be manipulated to fit any color in the visible light spectrum. Alternatively they can seal their light entirely causing them to appear akin to the black flames of Amaterasu. Applications above A-Rank require a single hand seal. Sustaining this technique requires the user expend ten chakra per turn. S-Rank can be used four times per battle and cannot be used in consecutive turns.
Rank: D – S

Description: This technique encompasses the concentrated plasma-based energy of Mystic Fire Release and allows the user to produce currents, bolts, streams, and waves of lightning-like Mystic Fire from the user’s body, through the ground, or even in the air. In the case of the energy being produced from the air they are unable to be created within short-range of the opponent, unless the user is within short-range as well. Energy channeled through the ground is akin to lightning being channeled through the ground, rippling outward from its location created or directed through manipulation by the user. This technique can be concentrated allowing for the energy to take a more solidified state enabling it to punch through physical obstacles. Like its sibling technique Primordial Creation the energy by default adheres to the violet spectrum but can be manipulated to fit any color in the visible spectrum. Alternatively they can seal their light entirely causing them to appear akin to the black energy. Applications above A-Rank require a single hand seal. Sustaining this technique requires the user expend ten chakra per turn. S-Rank can be used four times per battle and cannot be used in consecutive turns.

Description: This technique encompasses the concentrated plasma-based energy of Mystic Fire Release and allows the user to produce currents, bolts, streams, and waves of lightning-like Mystic Fire from the user’s body, through the ground, or even in the air. Energy channeled through the ground is akin to lightning being channeled through the ground, rippling outward from its location created or directed through manipulation by the user. Description: The Eyes of God, or sometimes referred to as the Helix nebulae, are two nebulae within the Milky Way galaxy. This technique is considered the sibling to Primordial Creation and the Dark Heart of the Cosmos. The Eyes of God allows the user to manifest creations imbued with a higher form of sentience on the battlefield. These creations are limited only by the rank applied and the user’s imagination. While animalistic creations are generally preferred they are not limited to this, allowing for a wide range of familiars. As familiars created from energy they are capable of flight, regardless if they possess wings or not. Familiars can only reach a maximum height of twenty meters. There exist two separate applications of the Eyes of God: forming and manifesting familiars on the battlefield or manifesting familiars as an ethereal guardian around one’s person. S-Rank usages of the Eyes of God, regardless of which application, can only be used two times per battle and cannot be used in consecutive turns. A-Rank and above familiars can only exist on the battlefield for a maximum of four turns. S-Rank applications require the user weave a single hand seal.
Single Helix (Tan’itsu Rasen Seiun): The Single Helix, named after the commonly known Helix nebula itself within the constellation Aquarius, is used to manifest creations on the battlefield with a higher degree of sentience. As creations with a higher degree of sentience these can be created anywhere on the battlefield including around the user’s own person, although this is a lesser used application. Familiars cannot be created within short-range of the opponent unless the user is present within that range as well, in which case familiars cannot be created within one meter of the opponent. These creations are limited only by the user’s imagination. The default abilities of creations made through the Single Helix allows them, at the user’s volition, to possess a concentrated state allowing the energy which they are composed of to take a physical form. When in this physical form their bodies become far more volatile; matter or opposing forces which they strike or are struck against will cause them to explode inflicting significant damage five meters around the created familiar. Because they are familiars which possess a higher degree of sentience they are capable of acting independent of their user’s concentration. Multiple familiars can be created and will follow normal splitting rules.
Double Helix (Nijūrasen Seiun): The Double Helix, named after the lesser known Double Helix Nebula near the core of the Milky Way, is used to manifest an ethereal guardian around one’s person. Like the Single Helix, this Guardian also possesses a higher degree of sentience and can act independently of the user’s concentration. These familiars, like its lesser versions, can be created within the limitations of the user’s imagination. The default abilities of creations made through the Double Helix allows them to utilize Mystic Fire techniques up to and including the rank of the created guardian. Mystic Fire Release techniques which require hand seals can be utilized by the guardian, much like Susano’o’s ability to utilize hand seals, but requires the created guardian to possess hands. The guardian possesses a form of solidity, much like the concentration of energy found in other constructs, however this does not hinder the user’s techniques to pass through the guardian should the need arise.

Description: This technique is named after the nebula the Ghost of Jupiter and employs Mystic Fire’s ability to manifest itself freely on the battlefield. Through Mystic Fire’s unique relationship with Fūinjutsu the Ghost of Jupiter is capable of utilizing the highly disruptive capabilities of Mystic Fire Release against Fūinjutsu and barrier Fūinjutsu. Through a release of Mystic Fire chakra, much akin to that of Hindering Sound Ninjutsu, one is capable of applying three distinct applications of Ghost of Jupiter, all applying similar principles. Seals which are tampered with and disrupted remain useless for three turns, regardless of whether or not the Mystic Fire is removed from the battlefield as its purpose is to simply disrupt the seals functionality. All applications utilize a saturation of the battlefield in harmless Mystic Fire chakra, occurring instantly. This technique, regardless of application, can be used four times per battle and cannot be used in consecutive turns. In the following turn the user is unable to utilize Mystic Fire Release above A-Rank.
Diffuse Nebulae (Kakusan Seiun): Named after the common diffuse type nebulae which span enormous distances. This encompasses the first application of the Ghost of Jupiter. Through a saturation of the battlefield free standing seals, such as the generic Sealing Tag, Flying Thunder God seals, and other free standing seals will become disrupted. This is because the seals themselves are simply sheets of paper or simple inscriptions which possess unranked durability. The Mystic Fire chakra permeates the seal and disrupts its mechanics, rendering it temporarily useless. This application is unable to be applied to seals located on the body, but it can be applied to seals which are applied to the body after the fact, such as Flying Thunder God seals. The exception to this application is seals which have been fortified through an infusion of chakra. Should an applied seal be fortified with elemental chakra, or some form of infusion which bolsters the seal’s physical durability, then the absolute neutrality of Mystic Fire must be respected. This in effect causes the first application to be deferred to the second application. The Diffuse Nebulae application will not tamper with the user’s own seals.
Planetary Nebulae (Wakuseijōseiun): Named after the lesser common emission-type nebulae released from the death of red giant stars. This embodies the second application of the Ghost of Jupiter. Unlike the first the Planetary Nebulae is a precise and targeted application aimed toward seals classified as body seals. Due to their complexity the user may only tamper with seals equivalent to the rank of Ghost of Jupiter. As such, when used at A-Rank, the user is capable of tampering with one A-Rank body seal, rendering it temporarily useless. Should the Ghost of Jupiter be boosted in strength, it will be capable of tampering with one S-Rank seal, or two A-Rank seals, and so on. However, as a more precise application, the user must also be aware of the seal which they are targeted on the opponent’s body requiring they have already seen it and have knowledge of its existence. The user can apply this second application to barrier Fūinjutsu as well, following the same principles as above. The Planetary Nebulae is also used against fortified seals, as outlined in Diffuse Nebulae.
Protoplanetary Nebulae (Genshi Wakuseijōseiun): The Protoplanetary Nebulae is, rather than a third separate application, a reversal of the Planetary Nebulae application. This applies the adage of “the best defense is a good offense” and allows the Ghost of Jupiter to be utilized in conjunction with the user’s own seals. Instead of disrupting the user’s own applied technique this will act to protect it from other seals and disruptive barriers which seek to disable, tamper, or harm the user’s own seals. As a byproduct of this application the applied seal will also gain fortification equivalent to the seal’s rank making it harder to physically destroy with elemental ninjutsu. This alternative application can be applied within the same timeframe as the seal created and applied.

Description: The Insignia of Duality is a potent dual talisman-based Cursed Seal first utilized by Galahad to seal his sister Amara over concerns of her corruption and power. The Insignia is a unique seal in its nature, but simple and common place in its application and mechanics. Much like the generic Sealing Tag the Insignia of Duality is utilized by an individual who wishes to seal another living being. However, unlike the Sealing Tag, this technique requires two talismans: one which bears the user’s chakra to initiate the seal, and the other which bears the sealed individual; the Light and Darkness of Duality. The seal’s basic mechanics are simple: the Light talisman requires the user’s chakra to initiate the Dark talisman to seal its victim. Through contact with the opposing seal the bearer is capable of sealing away the opposite, as such Light can seal Dark, and Dark can seal Light. This direct physical contact requires the wielder to bear the opposite talisman on their person while also maintaining physical contact for over two turns. After two turns the bearer of the opposite talisman will be instantly sealed within it. Like many seals those who are sealed away become exempt from the physical world entering a form of stasis preventing their bodies from aging. Unique to the Insignia of Duality the only one incapable of unsealing the individual within their respective talisman is the bearer of the opposite. As such, anyone who is not the bearer of Light or Dark can unseal the victim simply by making contact with the seal and expending 30 chakra. Additionally, unique to the Insignia of Duality, is its ability to detect the emotional state of the opposing talisman. It has been frequently shown that techniques and chakra can contain the emotions and consciousness of the user. And because Sealing Techniques have been noted to be able to seal metaphysical aspects of reality as well as convey communication through techniques such as Scroll Communication the talismans become able to sense the emotional state of its wielder. As such each talisman can sense its opposite; Light and Darkness become able to feel the anger, sadness, fear, doubt, and other emotions of the other. This does not convey locational sensory or any other form of chakra sensory. simply the cosmetic ability of sensing the emotional state of the opposite. Because of the Insignia’s unique design it can only be taught and bestowed upon pairs of individuals, effectively connecting their biographies – one which bears the Light, and one which bears the Dark. As such, this technique can only be taught to one other person.
Each talisman also possesses certain unique capabilities as well, offered to both bearers regardless if they are sealed or unsealed. The chakra which forged these talismans is capable of being passively released into the user’s techniques, much like the leaking of the Cursed Seal of Heaven and Earth’s ability to influence the user’s techniques. This is reflected through a limited and passive form of the transformation technique applied upon the user’s techniques causing them to change coloration at the user’s will. While coloration can be influenced, and is purely cosmetic, techniques cannot become invisible, transparent, or translucent, through this technique. Although their color scheme can be altered to fit any color within the visible light spectrum, as well as cause the complete lack and removal of light to create absolute darkness. This requires the user expend 10 additional chakra.

Description: The user will have a seal on their body with the Kanji for "Eternal". The seal lies dormant and is passively activated whenever the opponent tries to seal or drain the user's chakra and/or abilities. The seal will instantly release an intangible barrier that surrounds the user's body like an armour. Any abilities which act externally such as the canon techniques Multiple Infinite Embraces or Living Barrier will be unable to affect anything inside the barrier, namely the user's body. Seals which act internally will first have their chakra be absorbed by the barrier (happens instantly and so before they can come into effect) and once erected, the barrier will prevent any further insertion of chakra while active. The seal is self-sustaining and will involuntary leech chakra from the user's body. This is for the express purpose of maintaining this technique even when the user can't use or mold chakra. This is possible as the chakra still exists within the user as it is equivalent of their very life-force. This can counter S-Rank and below sealing techniques. This cannot be activated manually and will only ever activate under the aforementioned conditions. It lasts for four turns or until the ability attempting to seal or drain the user's chakra or abilities is no longer active, whichever is longer.
Note: Can only activate a maximum of thrice per battle

Description: The user will have a seal that look like one of the symbols below (see spoiler) on either of their hands that will lie dormant until passively activated. The seal only works on jutsu that transform or are donned on the user's body and can only be activated whenever one of these techniques are in use. On activation of the seal, the seal become linked to any jutsu present on the user's body and serve as link between it and the user thus making the seal be the one sustaining the jutsu for as long as the seal remains un-destroyed. This does not however add any power to the jutsu in question as the jutsu can still be negated like normal. The only work of the seal is to make the jutsu remain if not destroyed though as long as the user is able to sacrifice his chakra sustaining the seal itself. The seal passively leeches 20% chakra per turn of the jutsu it is sustaining from the user, meaning if the seal is sustaining an A-rank earth armor, then the seal leeches 20% of 30 chakra per turn to keep sustaining the armor. The seal does not work on basic weapons or body armor, but can work on techniques that forms or mimics them. Works well with techniques like the hardening technique, lightning plasma ball, chakra cloak, etc. Also since the fuin is now the one sustaining the jutsu, the user now have access to use another jutsu/element if the jutsu in question restricts it beforehand. In escence this seal allows the user to keep the armor and focus on other chakras for the duration.
Note: Can only be used on S-rank and below and it doesn't extend the duration of techniques (e.g. Plasma Ball would still last only last 3 turns)
Note: Can only be used once per battle

Description: This seal, Mayer's Band, was created by an Uzumaki prior to their village's destruction. The jutsu's purpose revolves around the ability to identify and seal foreign energy produced by the user's enemies. The seal itself is placed onto a wrist band and it is a kanji line shaped like a pentagon with open circles placed at every point of the shape. When foreign energy enters short range of the user, the circles on the wristband emit a bright colorful light signifying to the user that an energy different from the energies known to them has broken their perimeter. The sealing band cannot inform the user about the type of energy being used, but it can and does tell the difference between the various energies it comes across, and thus repeats the same color glows corresponding with that energy when met again. Once the energy is close enough the seal will release a special energy absorbing barrier around the user protecting them for that one attack before sealing the foreign energy into the wristband protecting the user. The jutsu is quite helpful for shinobi who don't have any energy sensing abilities, and its sealing effect only lasts a limited time. After sealing its maximum amount of energy the band will only work as an energy identifier for the user, but it will no longer be able to seal energy.

Description: The user will have a seal on their clothes with the Kanji for “Armour” that is active all the time (must be stated in the user’s biography). The seal will be imbued with the user’s earth chakra and as such, the user’s clothing will be hardened and appear darker in colour similar to the canon technique Earth Release: Earth Spear making it akin to wearing armour. It will develop a metallic sheen in addition to the hardening which is purely cosmetic. It will not decrease the flexibility or mobility of the clothing nor will it increase the weight of it in any way, similar to the canon technique. The user will essentially become capable of withstanding damage/impacts as the hardened clothes absorb damage either completely or to a certain extent. The user's clothes will be capable of blocking kunai, shuriken, swords and other bladed weapons (Kenjutsu up to and including C-Rank). This technique will also render D-Rank and below Taijutsu useless if used on clothed portions of the body and decrease the damage of Taijutsu techniques above C-Rank by 10 damage points. Though it hardens the clothing if the is destroyed or removed the hardening loses effects and it holds no defensive ability against elements that are strong to earth.
Note: This technique is always active
Note: Must be stated in the user's biography

Note: Must be posted at the beginning of a battle.
A dance of duality; for she is the Darkness, and he the Light. Amara is the fraternal twin to Galahad, both the children of Elaine and Lancelot. Prior to their birth Elaine infamously seduced Lancelot using an illusion to appear as his deepest, and forbidden, love Guinevere. After discovering Elaine’s deceit he exiled her from Camelot, sending her and, unbeknownst to Lancelot, the children she bore to a small village on the outskirts of the city. Shortly thereafter she gave birth to the twins. Their earliest memories were of their small and humble cottage in the middle of their village. Her mother would longingly share tales of Lancelot’s glory, courage, chivalrousness, and valor. Yet her stories were not harmless reminiscing, they were stories of sadness. It was clear that their mother was plagued with sadness and guilt, an unrequited love which weighed heavily on her heart and soul. Her stories were like a drug, bringing momentary happiness, but would ultimately pull her further and further into an abyss.
From an early age Galahad took an interest in knightly activities. It was clear that he was captivated by the very culture of a knight – their honor, valor, courage, and integrity. Elaine’s stories of their famous father only fueled this fascination; Galahad frequently practiced swordplay, equestrianism, and occasionally archery. Amara speculated that it was Galahad’s desire to emulate their father, one they had only heard stories about, which drove him to pursue these activities with remarkable fervor. Unlike Galahad, who shared a significantly closer relationship with his mother, Amara’s relationship with Elaine was far more distant. Amara frequently chose to leave herself to her own devices, focusing on the academic rather than the practical, like Galahad had chosen. She consumed knowledge in her solitude with remarkable hunger; she was particularly interested in history, philosophy, and law. Although, unlike her brother, she had little to no interest in the pursuit of Justice in accordance to society; she cared little for the moral justifications behind conflict, simply studying it from a cold and distant historical perspective. Her most important understanding that was born from her studies is that humanity suffered from a tendency toward injustice, rather than justice.

'' I was in the beginning, and I will be the end. I will be all that there is. ''
As the years passed Elaine’s mental health waned dramatically. The broken love which weighed heavily on her soul could no longer be sated by her memories alone. She would fall into a state of delirium leaving her care to the twins, a heavy burden at such a young age. The two took on the responsibility with no complaints. Galahad would work during the day, seeking jobs throughout their village suitable for a young boy. During this time Amara would care for their mother, although she simply did so for Galahad’s sake and not Elaine’s. When Galahad would return home in the evening the two would discuss what they had learned that day while their mother slept and suffered from nightmares. Galahad would impart practical knowledge to his sister, discussing the histories of battles and various ideologies. These few years was the twilight of their childhood, marred by their mother’s mental illness. Yet it would not last long; their comfortable arrangement was shattered when Elaine finally succumbed to despair and took her own life when the twins were merely eight years old. To Galahad’s discomfort Amara remained expressionless at the sight of their mother’s lifeless body. She was unfazed in the slightest, looking upon her with no concern. After the funeral the twins would be committed to an orphanage, a living arrangement which did not suit either of them. After their first day the twins committed to finding their father in Camelot, their last living relative.
Their journey to Camelot was no challenge. The village was only a day’s walk from the city and its close proximity kept the roads well-guarded. However, finding Lancelot after they arrived proved no simple task, after all he was the man who was second to the king, in both fame and authority. The twins made many attempts to gain his attention; they would, on many occasions, seek out many knights and other officials who would know him. But their claims as his children would be brushed aside by those men, and even laughed at by some. Amara and Galahad soon found themselves on the streets, living day to day on what they could find in Camelot. Their struggle reaffirmed Amara’s understanding of poverty, and strife in general, which she had learned from her philosophy texts from her village. Albeit her understanding was still weak, due to her young age, this would play an important role in her life as she continued to grow into a young adult during her time in Camelot. Finally, after three days, the children met a procession of knights. Be it fate or mere coincidence the lead knight, wearing a shining and magnificent suit of armor, casually glanced toward the misfortunate children. He dismounted his horse and crouched before us, removing his helmet. Galahad almost instantly recognized him as their father from the stories Elaine had told them. The reunion unleashed a torrent of emotion within Galahad, who was overwhelmed with joy and relief. Yet, while Galahad was crying tears of joy, Amara simply look on her father with a blank stare. Quickly she adjusted herself as Lancelot embraced the twins spreading a warm, yet forced, smile on her countenance.
With their lives stabilized Lancelot took an active role in their lives and development, more so than Elaine had taken. The two were adopted and expressed his desire to have Amara and Galahad educated. Accepting the idea the twins were placed in the care of Merlin, Lancelot’s closest friend. When Amara met Merlin she was not overwhelmed by his great wisdom, although admittedly he was incredibly wise. She was skeptical in his ability to ‘know everything’ as he had phrased it. Galahad, on the other hand, was captivated by Merlin and his teachings. Amara remained silent as Galahad unleashed a torrent of questions upon Merlin ranging from knowledge of the future to Galahad’s own death. Finally their teacher ended the incessant barrage of questions, leaving them ready to begin their first lesson. The lesson explored the nature of elemental affinities and their meanings. Amara was fascinated by the detail he called upon when he spoke of the affinities. Toward the end of the lesson he tested Galahad and Amara’s affinities using a special paper. Galahad, much to his joy, possessed a natural inclination toward Wind and Water. It prompted him to return to his question regarding the future, to which Merlin gave a cryptic response regarding a coming strife in Galahad’s life, one which would last for an eternity. After Merlin tested Amara, using the same paper he had used for Galahad. Unlike Galahad, who exhibited two basic affinities, Amara’s reaction with the paper was far different and radical. Upon touching it the paper would almost immediately burn with a black flame. As it burned two notable, and extremely remarkable, events occurred. The paper did not burn hot, it simply burned. No heat was emitted by the deep, black flames which consumed it with ravenous hunger. The second was instead of being reduced to ash the paper would be reduced to a metallic black powder, which emitted significant heat. Merlin’s eyes narrowed at the results as a perplexed look spread across his face causing Amara to smile. She took some pleasure in the man’s perplexed reaction to the darkness which consumed the paper and reduced it to metal. By the time Amara would reach adulthood it would become clear that the results of the test referred to her two elemental masteries: Mystic Fire and Mawscape. However, Amara would come to have some level of mastery over all five basic elemental natures, a unique feat amongst her peers. It was a testament to her wide breadth of knowledge.
Future lessons with Merlin would prove just as thought provoking as their first. Yet life at this point began to diverge between Amara and Galahad. Galahad had become Lancelot’s squire and would train in his active duties on a daily basis. Amara would, when not learning under Merlin, care for Lancelot’s home and perform mundane daily chores, such as cooking, cleaning, and sewing. While monotonous in nature Amara took this time to personally study in Lancelot’s library. Within she found a wealth of knowledge that far surpassed anything that she had read in the village during her youth. She furthered her understanding of law, especially law in Camelot itself, and immersed herself in its history. The numerous texts in the library also contained the history of Camelot and its kings from the very first to King Arthur himself. At night when Galahad would return home the two would share what they had learned, much like their life in the village when they were taking care of their ailing mother. She learned rudimentary swordsmanship, combat strategy, and even built on her own philosophical understanding of the nature of good and evil. Ultimately her education favored spellwork; by adulthood she had become known as one of the most proficient masters of the elements, ranging from the basics to even her own unique and advanced Mystic Fire and Mawscape. Her ability in spellwork even surpassed Galahad’s, whose specialty was close-quarters and practical fighting due to his training with Lancelot. But her secondary training with her brother gave her some limited understanding of close-quarters and practical fighting, leaving her somewhat prepared in case she ever called upon it. Like before, their symbiotic relationship was only temporary. Soon Galahad would become far too busy training under Lancelot and the Knights of the Round Table to spend time with his sister.

As the months passed Amara found she feeling increasingly alone; for the first time since birth she had become largely separated from her brother. Amara began to foster a building sense of abandonment. In fact their bond was so powerful that Amara considered Galahad to be her only family, putting Lancelot and Elaine second to her brother. As Galahad’s workload as a squire increased the hole within her heart would only increase. But she did not express these feelings to anyone, even Galahad. It would become the most dangerous secret she would keep from her brother, one which would come to haunt the twins throughout their lives.
Amara’s perplexing nature became apparent to Lancelot when she was twelve years old. Naturally, give her father’s fame and status, Amara had many suitors. Many other families wished to establish close relationships with Lancelot’s household and sought to arrange a marriage between Amara and their sons, a natural occurrence in the highborn families of Camelot. As a testament to her father’s fame these families even overlooked Amara’s impure birth being a product of adultery. The most notable suitor, one favored greatly by Lancelot himself, was a young man and scholar named Ignatius. At the time Ignatius was sixteen years old, four years Amara’s senior. He was a student of law, something that he and Amara shared a deep interest in. Yet despite their shared interest Amara returned no interest in Ignatius when he would approach her. Lancelot could not understand what was wrong; noble women her age typically were eager to seek out suitors. When Lancelot approached Amara about the issue she simply returned her father’s concerns with a puzzled face and stated that she found no interest in Ignatius, or men in general. Lancelot was not an experienced father having only raised Amara for four years now. And so he allowed Amara to pursue what she liked best instead, academia and spellwork.
After two years passed and the twins turned sixteen Galahad undertook his quest to find the Holy Grail, a mythical artifact that Amara and Galahad had become all too familiar with during their studies. With somber eyes Amara wished her brother the best in finding it, hoping that he would return soon. Almost as soon as her brother left order soon turned to chaos and crisis; Lancelot would finally commit the unthinkable and engages in an affair with Guinevere, bringing chaos to Camelot. For many months the affair went uninterrupted and concealed. It was a blissful time for Lancelot, so much so that even Amara could tell he had changed somehow. But unbeknownst to the world this affair would impact many lives, spanning over immense time. It was the beginning of Berserker, a terrible scourge which would grip the world in time.
By the age of fourteen Galahad was inducted into the Knights of the Round Table. For the ceremony Lancelot had chosen to knight Galahad himself. Amara was overjoyed for her brother and encouraged him to continue pursuing his dreams; yet beneath this loving and encouraging façade Amara felt the void within expanding further. Her feelings of abandonment hit a new low as the distance grew between the twins. For the ceremony Amara wore a beautiful and elegant black dress, one she had never worn before.
By the age of fifteen Amara completely consumed herself with a small set of tasks to nullify the sensations of abandonment and loneliness. Amara would continue to care for the home performing the mundane tasks of day to day life as Galahad and Lancelot were immersed in their order. During the day she would also completely consume herself in Merlin’s lessons. It was during this time that Amara’s mastery over spellwork would reach its apex. Having become able to use the basic elements at the young age of thirteen Amara was already well known for her skills. Yet she still could not understand her unique black flames and metallic natures which she had become aware of seven years ago. Merlin decided to teach Amara the Sealing Arts, a highly complex series of techniques which utilized one’s energies to seal objects and produce barriers. While initially challenging Amara proved an innate skill toward the skill and came so far to even prefer it to the basic elements, noting it for its spiritual nature and superiority to the crude elements. However, unbeknownst to Amara, Merlin intended her lessons in the Sealing Arts to be a mere stepping stone to coming to understand her black flames. Once she had mastered the skills Merlin returned to their lessons in the Fire element. He explained to her that Fire Release was inherently violent, making it incredibly difficult to control. Using that well known fact Merlin stated that her black flames operated in a similar manner, requiring the user master the Sealing Arts in order to possess the necessary skill to control them. Amara was once again skeptical of her teacher leading her to inquire how he could know such a thing. Merlin simply replied with his deductions he had made of the years through their lessons. He noted that the black flames were not simply black, they in fact sealed their light and heat when he first saw them burn the special paper years ago. Because they could seal their light entirely he believed that the flames could become any color, much like the flames that barriers produced through the Sealing Arts could possess. Merlin’s deductions made sense. With the Sealing Arts in mind Amara focused on producing the black flames which she longed to understand. Yet, unlike Fire, she thought of the spiritual and mystical nature of the Sealing Arts in conjunction with the flames and plasmas of the energy-based elements, creating a rebellious combination. Suddenly a black flame erupts around her hand which swiftly is manipulated into elegant orbit around her arm. Merlin then asked her what she would name the unique nature. She smiled as she stared at her arm in immense curiosity and replied, “Mystic Fire, Shiraton.” In time Amara would also come to understand her secondary affinity, the metallic light consuming element which she named Mawscape; the black, all consuming void.

'' I felt nothing. I didn’t care if he was executed, exiled, or freed. ''
When the twins turned sixteen Galahad undertook his quest to find the Holy Grail, a mythical artifact that the pair had become all too familiar with during their studies. With somber eyes Amara wished her brother her best wishes in finding it, hoping that he would return soon. Her brother’s departure marked a shift in Camelot; soon order would turn to chaos and crisis. It was as if Galahad’s departure was a bad omen. On the same day that Galahad left Amara locked herself away in her studies and training, practicing Mystic Fire and Mawscape with incredible focus. This went on for days during which Amara would only stop for food and sleep.
Meanwhile chaos began to seep into the kingdom as Lancelot committed the unthinkable and engages in an affair with Guinevere, his long standing love. It was twisted irony in a sense; Lancelot had been tricked by Elaine by disguising herself as Guinevere. This would result in the conception of Amara and Galahad. Yet Lancelot’s affair with Guinevere would ultimately destroy the foundation upon which the twins stood. Yet the chaos did not reveal itself immediately. The affair went uninterrupted for many months. It was a blissful time for Lancelot, so much so that even Amara could tell that he had changed somehow. But unbeknownst to the world this affair would impact many lives, spanning over an incredibly long timespan. It was the beginning of Berserker, a terrible scourge which would grip the world.
Eventually the affair is discovered by Agravain, one of Lancelot’s fellow knights. Immediately when the affair is taken to the Round Table it fractures and produces factions. Lancelot is put in chains, his great power willingly shackled away as his honor and dignity as a knight proved too great causing his guilt to consume him. A trial would be held in Camelot with all in attendance, bar Galahad. From the onset of the crisis Amara knew that Lancelot was damned. She had studied law for most of her life as one of her greatest interests and she knew that the odds were stacked against her father; even Arthur’s ministers were working against him and exploiting his kindness and goodwill. Because of this, with indifference, Amara recused herself from the trial and opted to simply spectate. Many knights and citizens came to Amara to offer their condolences, yet she was indifferent. She felt nothing. Within a few days the trial began. Amara was in attendance, sitting far in the back as a mere spectator. She continued to refuse to speak in defense of her father, nor would speak against him as a witness to his transgressions. None of it mattered to her. She understood that the trial was a mere show to quell the desires for immediate execution. In reality Arthur had already decided Lancelot’s fate, choosing an act of kindness to spare Lancelot’s life. Against the judgement of his advisors Arthur sentence Lancelot to exile. But Lancelot’s honor compelled him to seek ultimate justice: death. He was angered that Arthur’s ‘kindness’ forced him to languish in shame and disgrace due to his actions.
On the day of his departure Amara watched from a distance as her father marched in shame out of the city. She wore a similar black dress to the one she wore when Galahad was knighted. Amara spectated with indifference, caring little for her father’s fate. She remained indifferent even as her father killed Gareth and Gaheris in rage. But she couldn’t help but feel that she could change what happened, not simply for her father but for all humans. That perhaps she could correct the struggles of the world regardless of justice, honor, or law. That perhaps a better solution existed than the Knights of the Round Table, which had simply degraded into a political monstrosity. Her father’s fall and struggle was perhaps the penultimate moment in Amara’s ascent into Nothingness; her true incarnation of Darkness.
Before Camelot would descend further into madness Merlin invited Amara to his chambers for one final lesson. His countenance was grim, a characteristic which Amara immediately recognized as it was quite unusual for Merlin. He informed her, with a somber expression, that this would be their final meeting and that he had one final important lesson to teach her. Merlin explained that, given Amara's unique affinities, she possessed one final nature inherent to her: Force, the manipulation of gravitational forces. Mastering Force would require Amara to draw on all of her previous experience and knowledge from her unique energetic element Mystic Fire. Although, according to Merlin, Force was inherently different possessing the power and dominion over the physical and tangible elements. She was instructed to combine her Lightning, Fire, and Earth natures in order to produce the Gravitons which held dominion over these physical forces. The pair soon discovered that Force was not simply manipulation of gravity, it was actually an energy which carried out the manipulation. From Amara's palm she produced a golden beam of energy carry objects toward her and pushing them away. However, given the rapidly decaying situation in Camelot their lesson was cut short leaving Amara with only rudimentary mastery over the ultimate element which she possessed. In time, with both practice and knowledge, Amara would come to understand Force entirely mastering the repulsive and attractive forces as well as the nullifying. Her mastery reached heights so great that she even became able to be aware of physical movement around her. After the lesson Merlin departed from the city with his head held low. Amara was never sure if he could see the future; she had always doubted his self proclaimed 'universal knowledge.' But even she was concerned by his ominous departure and behavior.
Camelot’s struggles did not end with Lancelot’s exile. Soon after Arthur caved to the pressures of his advisors and decided to execute Guinevere for her infidelity. The execution crystallized the factions within the city causing incredible amounts of civil unrest. Ultimately the unrest would descend into turmoil as civil war broke out. The two major factions of the civil war were those who sided with Agravain, the one who exposed the affair, would fight those who sided with Mordred. Ultimately Camelot fell under siege by Mordred who wrought incredible chaos and destruction. This ultimately ended with Arthur and Mordred fighting each other on the battlefield ending in mutual death.

'' To change everything I must become all there is: the sole Surgebinder. ''
Amara remained neutral during the war and stayed hidden in Lancelot’s home. Fortunately it was a well-built structure with numerous hiding places and strong fortifications. She was not fearful for she could rely on Galahad’s wisdom as well as her own skill in spellwork to navigate the crisis. She decided to hide in Lancelot’s armory, the best place to both hide and protect herself should any intruders breach the home. However, the war was terrible in scale and eventually some did come seeking her. Members of Agravain’s faction, those who sought the death of Lancelot and Guinevere, came to burn down his home. While they ransacked and looted they eventually came across Amara hiding causing them to be overcome with rage. There were a select few within Camelot who believed that Amara and Galahad represented a stain on Lancelot’s honor and were partially to blame for the destruction of their home. One of the invaders rushed Amara blindly, despite her renown in spellwork. As he did so Amara unleashed a maelstrom of black flames, her signature Mystic Fire element, upon them. Within moments their bodies were engulfed and burned away leaving nothing behind but a charred corpse.
After the intrusion Amara and during her hiding Amara discovered the First Blade in Lancelot’s armory. Finding ancient relics in his armory was not a rare occurrence, but it fascinated her nonetheless. The First Blade fascinated her in particular due to its savage appearance. The blade was fashioned from a donkey’s jawbone and seemed to possess an emotional connection to Amara, drawing her toward it. As she took it in her grasp she would quickly decide to empower the blade and further forge it to her own design. With her Mawscape element she would forge a reinforced layer of black metal atop the jawbone while infusing it with Mystic Fire. The result was a perfectly black blade in the shape of a serrated donkey’s jawbone. The blade would become Amara’s most powerful weapon in the future; one which could absorb radiation through its Mawscape and convert it into empowering energy for her Mystic Fire element. She would bind it to her while confined in Lancelot’s armory during the civil war, creating the ‘Mark.’
After Arthur and Mordred fell the fighting ended. Camelot was left in ruins, utter devastation marred the land. There were few survivors. Rising from the chaos was the return of Galahad. For the first time in many years Amara felt a connection again when she her brother return, something which had become foreign to her. She was overwhelmed with joy and happiness, despite the chaos and bloodshed which had overcome Camelot. It was another indication of her descent into Darkness, yet one which would go ignored by her brother. Amara could tell that Galahad had undergone a profound transformation and deduced that it must have been from finding the Grail. His quest for the Grail revealed itself to be misleading – the grail was no physical object according to the lore, it was actually an object of ethereal energy. Her brother explained that the Grail had fused with his very soul, and he had come to master a form of energy which he called Prana. Standing in the ruins of Lancelot’s home Galahad offered Amara the greatest opportunity of her life – to become a knight in an order called the Radiants. The Radiants would protect humanity, defending it from injustice and seeking to spread goodness throughout. Amara immediately accepted; she became the second Knight of the Radiants. The Radiants would follow no monarch, it would simply serve an ideal – one set out by Galahad. It was there in the ruins of Camelot that he would resolve himself to create such a perfect Order to carry out his ideals.
In order for Amara to complete her transformation into a Surgebinder, or a wielder of the ethereal energy known as Prana, she would need to spend extended time in the Throne, the dimension which contained the Grail and Prana. While this would normally prove a difficult task Amara’s transformation went smoothly. After her body adjusted to Prana she revealed herself to be a natural at its manipulation and control, mastering it to the same degree her brother did very quickly. Amara’s mastery was so great she became a master of all four Surges and even proved to be especially adept at the Surge of Evocation, perhaps mirroring her great skill in spellwork which she had mastered under Merlin. This effectively altered her body to become a doorway for Prana, which she eventually named Shadow’s Invocation. Amara’s original Prana was golden in color, which the original Radiants discovered signified wisdom, pride, prestige, and power.
Amara and Galahad were not alone, however. Much to Amara’s dismay two former Knights of the Round Table were also inducted into the Order as founding members: Percival and Lamorak. Amara disliked Galahad’s choices to induct former Round Table members due to how the Knights of Camelot had degraded themselves into a political mess which resulted in the civil war. But Amara kept her qualms private knowing that her brother was under a great deal of stress after the crisis. Once her training had been completed the four Radiants began to gather followers to induct into the Order and become follow knights. Galahad had few stipulations for joining, generally only requiring candidates have a sense of justice and a desire to protect those who suffer from injustice. Once formed the Order began its humble task of protecting those who suffered, beginning with villages. Each village that was saved, typically from invaders but also from internal conflict, more righteous men and women volunteered themselves for the Order. To these people the Radiants were a beacon of hope in a black sea of injustice. Eventually word of the Order spread throughout the world; they became the defends of the oppressed, guardians of justice, and harbingers of balance. Over the next decade the Order would graduate from protecting simple villages to intervening in international conflicts. The Radiants would intervene in invasions protecting the assaulted country from an attacker. But this resulted in the first flaw of the Order’s mission: it changed nothing in the long term. In the short term the Order saved some lives and protected the weak. But in the long term little changed; the burden and struggle of humanity remained ever prevalent in their fight against injustice. Radiants would assist the non-aggressors and then the non-aggressors would become the aggressors. It created an endless cycle of chaos and war which Amara took note of. Major Powers were predictable; they simply looked out for themselves. Simultaneously the villages which the Radiants had originally protected fell to a secondary priority due to the dwindling Order numbers because of endless warfare. These villages would be raided or succumb to internal conflict. After a little more than a decade of constant warfare a battle hardened group of Radiants remained, with a group of fresh Radiants which would be replenished and depleted during times of war. It was then Amara realized that the Radiants were nothing more than the Defenders of the Status Quo, that their presence did not prevent injustice, it simply was a band aid for it, an enabler for humanity to continue doing wrong. They were glorified weapons. Amara ultimately did not care for humanity’s choices and actions, whether they were just or unjust. Her studies shaped her to believe that the best course of action was to fix humanity and to do that it would need to be reshaped entirely and be born anew.
Coupled with Amara’s revelation was the growing distance between her and Galahad. While joining the Order had revitalized their relationship temporarily it proved only to be a momentary bridge across an expanding abyss. From Amara’s perspective Galahad had become consumed with creating the perfect order, so much so that he put it above his own sister. It bothered Amara to no end causing her to keep her true feelings hidden, including those about her doubts about their ability to stop injustice. These negative feelings were amplified by Percival and Lamorak, two individuals she felt added to the Order’s decaying legacy and tying them too closely to the Knights of the Round Table. She began to resent her brother for his actions and decisions.
Amara decided, with hatred permeating her soul and cold indifference guiding her mind, that she would reshape the world in her own image and vision; she would choose to abandon the status quo and her oath as a Radiant. But above all she wanted her brother to suffer for his decisions; to destroy all that he had built, including his Radiants. It was an ambitious goal. In order to reshape the world she would need to sacrifice her only remaining kin, Galahad. She would have to become the only Surgebinder; only her reign alone could reshape the world in her vision. Amara decided to target knights who shared her feelings and decided to manipulate them. This proved a simple task; the battle-hardened group of knights was weary leaving many of them discontent with the state of humanity. She would effectively manipulate them into creating their very own Surgebinder civil war. She sowed the seeds of dissent among the Order, corrupting and manipulating her former comrades into believing that in order to correct injustice they would need to enter villages, towns, and clans and claim positions of leadership. They were led to believe that Galahad was wrong, that his method and ideal were flawed and insufficient to stop injustice.

'' He was so threatened by me, fearful that I would make a more perfect Order than he, so he exiled me. Virtually erased me from the Order’s history. ''
Once she had corrupted a sizable number of Galahad’s knights Amara manipulated them into confrontation. At their twelfth annual council meeting the knights claimed that Galahad’s ideal was not accomplishable with his method, saying that they could rule over humanity from within because they were incorruptible. Galahad refused, insisting that their self-perceived incorruptibility was flawed and that they should never involve themselves in politics. With neither side giving the other any room the Radiants began to abandon Galahad’s cause. This splinter faction was formed as the Fallen. Once the meeting had ended and most of the knights departed Amara confronted Galahad herself revealing that it was her who had fractured the Order. Galahad was stunned by this revelation but was unable to stop Amara from walking free to continue her corruption and her goal to reshape the world. She had become the First of the Fallen; such a transformation was even reflected in her Prana, originally gold in color it shifted to reflect her nature becoming entirely black – the color of Nothingness.
Amara’s plan worked flawlessly. Many Radiants converted to Fallen and entered villages in an attempt to claim seats of power. Some Radiants, much to Amara’s delight, became apathetic all together and became Divergent, simply refraining from involving themselves at all in the world. Surgebinders began to fall and perish to the strife created en masse. Fallen who attempted and failed to claim power in a village or city were executed, while others who managed to claim power met their downfall in civil war or wars with other villages. The Order entered a death spiral; Amara began to hunt down Divergents systematically in a purge-style cleansing of the clan while other Radiants continued to be corrupted and fall. The situation reached its climax when Fallen began to declare war on each other in the name of their respective villages. The very world itself began to burn away at the seams.
After a year of strife Galahad took his stand. Knowing Amara’s manipulation, corruption, and power were far too great to go unchecked Galahad decided on a dangerous course of action: he resolved to kill his own sister to stem the corruption. Such a dramatic change in his nature manifested itself in his Prana, its color shifting to a malefic inferno reflecting the rage he had kept bottled inside from her betrayal. Galahad’s strategy in finding her was to watch over the few remaining Divergents, effectively using them as bait to find and draw Amara out. It only took a month but Amara revealed herself at Percival’s chosen Divergent. The two remaining Radiants warped to his location, a church of all places. When there Galahad realized his sister’s true amoral nature and her cold indifference in her intent to reshape the world in her own vision; it was here that Galahad realized that Amara wasn’t evil and his resolve to kill her shattered. Memories flooded back to him of her indifference over their mother’s death and apathy toward the sundering of their second home, Camelot. Yet while he thought of her as a ship lost at sea, trapped in an eternal storm Amara felt the opposite. She found only bliss in her reality, unburdened by the struggles that humanity faced. Galahad had devised a contingency plan in case his resolve wavered, however. Like Amara Galahad had also mastered the Sealing Arts under Merlin and with his knowledge devised a seal which would become infamously known as the Insignia of Duality. Its mechanism was simple yet potent: the seal would restrain a dangerous and amoral force. The seal was divided into two separate entities: the Seal of Light and Darkness. Each was eternally bound to the other in a special connection, allowing the wielders to feel each other’s emotion. In order to perform the seal Galahad would need to mark Amara with the Seal of Darkness while he himself would also be marked. After their initial confrontation Galahad and Percival attacked her with the intent to capture and trap Amara within the seal. The battle was long and drawn out, despite being two against one. Amara was naturally a skilled spellweaver while Galahad and Percival specialized in practical combat, this gave Amara an edge at weaving chaos on the battlefield with her Mystic Fire element, its rebellious nature immune to the effects of Prana. It kept Galahad and Percival separated and distracted, significantly hindering their assault. Additionally, the two knights were handicapped in that they wished to trap her, not kill her. The battle continued for hours eventually wearing down on all combatants’ stamina. Galahad and Percival continued to attempt to close the gap and together could fend off Amara’s black flames and Prana. Once Amara’s endurance and stamina wavered she was finally subdued. She collapsed to the floor and gazed into Galahad’s eyes, yet she said nothing. Immediately Percival restrained her and Galahad affixed the Seal of Darkness to her collarbone. Shock overcame her face as she realized what was happening; death would not be her ultimate fate. She would instead be sealed away, trapped for eternity in an everlasting stasis in a void-like world within the seal. Before being sealed away she screamed at Galahad, cursing his existence and decisions. Ominously she prophetically warned that his struggles would only continue; that he carried an ideal that only fools could believe worked. After sealing her Galahad made one final modification to the seals ensuring that his temptation and weakness could never free Amara. As the bearer of the Seal of Light Galahad made it so, as the bearer, he would be unable to release the Seal of Darkness; instead he allowed any individual other than himself to release the Seal of Darkness passing the choice to humanity should that day ever come.
Unbeknownst to even Galahad the stasis that Amara was trapped in was a nightmare. The void which she remained in was silent, an ever reaching black expanse of absolute solitude. She was unable to move and unable to free herself. As time passed she fostered an immense hatred for her brother. It bred a dark and cold intent to make him suffer, just as she did. And just as she predicted Galahad suffered, although she did not know locked within the seal. Galahad took it upon himself to slay the remaining Fallen. Yet once his burden had been lifted his life prospered. He built a family around him and restructured the Radiants to once again serve the small villages they originally set out to do.
Yet nothing ever truly ends. After a number of years passed Amara was finally freed, released into a world she no longer understood. The seal had been broken by the one who called herself Ruler, Jeanne d’Arc. When released she would pull Jeanne into her Reality Marble, a swirling and violent torrent of Prana and Mystic Fire creating a realm of blissful darkness, reflecting the bliss within her own soul. Despite being imprisoned for numerous years Amara’s nature remained largely unchanged. She would unleash her anger and cold intent upon her brother as she finally took the last step in becoming the Darkness.
